Ryan Villopoto dominated the inaugural race at MetLife Stadium Saturday night to wrap up his fourth consecutive Monster Energy Supercross title. Despite a slow start to the season which saw Villopoto only win three races, the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider has since led 60 of 60 laps en route to three straight wins. “It feels great to wrap up my fourth championship in front of this crowd at MetLife Stadium,” said Villopoto. “Our goal coming into every season is to win the title and it is amazing accomplishing that goal year in and year out. We stayed consistent all year

Some happy and fun news for this Sunday. If you are a motorsports fan, especially dirt bikes, it doesn´t get any huger than this. Only one other person has ever accomplished 4 championships in a row, the legendary Jeremy McGrath in the mid 90s.

I was watching all motorsports back in the McGrath days but I´ve tapered off some over the years. Poster, what happened to James Stewart who looked to be JM´s successor?

James Stewart was making a huge comeback the last part of this season. Worked his way up to second in points, could wrap up second in Vegas, but hurt his knee in the final last night and had to drop out. No word on the extent of his injury.

George Herman “Babe” Ruth played his first Major League Baseball game 100 years ago Friday, marking the beginning of a legendary career and legacy that lasted decades. One hundred years after Ruth took to the Fenway Park mound and tossed seven innings against the Cleveland Naps, he is still known to any Pee Wee league player trying to break in a glove today as simply, "The Babe." Ruth, who was 19 and, according to one teammate, looked like a "big overgrown pea" at the start of the game, went on to play for 22 years, 15 of those with the

Along with piteous pictures of children flooding across our borders and being distributed across the country courtesy of US taxpayers come disease vectors. Maybe flying them around to various parts of the country isn’t the smartest idea. NBC News reports: A border patrol agent was diagnosed with scabies after processing undocumented immigrants in Otay Mesa, California, the agent´s union representative said. Ronald Zermeno, health and safety director for the National Border Control Council union, said the agent told him that he observed several people with open sores while screening them in preparation to be released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

When the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” passed, the end of doctor-patient confidentiality was predictable -- but we could not have expected it to happen this soon. ObamaCare, with the aid of hospitals, insurers, banks, and private data managers, is initiating a program to track store and credit card purchases to see if people are telling the truth about their lifestyle choices. Some troubling realities have been revealed in a recent Bloomberg article. First, the idea that the hospitals, at government direction, are doing it for our own good so it’s okay. It reminds me of Reagan’s most terrifying

FARMINGTON — New Mexico drivers will be prohibited from using cellphones to send or view text messages while driving when a new law to prevent distracted driving goes into effect on Tuesday. In March, Gov. Susana Martinez signed Senate Bill 19, which penalizes drivers for texting while their vehicles are in motion. The bill becomes law on Tuesday. Drivers cited for texting while driving face a $25 fine for the first violation and $50 for subsequent violations. The law states a person shall not read or view a text or manually type on a mobile communication device for any purpose

Of the many stunning revelations to emerge out of the wreckage of Mosul on Wednesday — 500,000 fleeing residents, thousands of freed prisoners, unconfirmed reports of “mass beheadings” — the one that may have the most lasting impact as Iraq descends into a possible civil war is that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria just got extremely rich. As insurgents rolled past Iraq’s second largest city, an oil hub at the vital intersection of Syria, Iraq and Turkey, and into Tikrit, several gunmen stopped at Mosul’s central bank. An incredible amount of cash was reportedly on hand, and the

The BBC reported that Father Jamie MacLeod found Anthony Van Dyck’s Flemish Baroque work 12 years ago in a Cheshire antique shop. It was only after he took it to TV program “Antiques Roadshow” that he was told it could be worth a small fortune. Father MacLeod, who runs a retreat in the Peak District, told the BBC he was "not being greedy" by selling the painting.

The evidence is clear that Eric Holder and his political subordinates have politicized the Justice Department to an unprecedented degree — “worse than John Mitchell under Richard Nixon” one former Justice Department lawyer told the authors. This is quite a criticism given that many DOJ veterans believe that the Department reached its nadir under Mitchell. But Mitchell seems like an amateur by comparison to how Holder has corrupted the law enforcement duties of the Justice Department to carry out the political objectives of Barack Obama and to implement his radical ideology.

The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A
