Former NASA Scientist:
Global Warming is Nonsense

Breitbart London [UK], by Nick Hallett

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 4/26/2014 8:59:05 PM

A former NASA scientist has described global warming as "nonsense", dismissing the theory of man-made climate change as "an unsubstantiated hypothesis" and saying that it is "absolutely stupid" to blame the recent UK floods on human activity. Professor Les Woodcock, who has had a long and distinguished academic career, also said there is "no reproducible evidence" that carbon dioxide levels have increased over the past century, and blamed the green movement for inflicting economic damage on ordinary people. Professor Woodcock is Emeritus Professor of Chemical Thermodynamics at the University of Manchester and has authored over 70 academic papers for a wide range

Time for the leftist scaremongers to go hunting for Woodcock. This guy tells it like it is, and therefore must be destroyed.

My son´s private school teacher yesterday gave the kids an assignment that included a paragraph of how the polar bears are dying because of man made global warming.
My son, bravely, said that was not true. He told the class that there is more ice now than ever. In fact, the liberals´ ship was caught in the ice on its way to proclaim the ice was melting etc. And isn´t it funny that now they are screaming about global warming when in the 1970s it was that were going to die from global cooling.
The teacher went apoplectic and scolded him telling him all of his comments were nonsense.
Of course, he knows the truth but sadly the rest of class sat there with blank looks.

Is even the CO2 concentration really in question? I know it doesn´t matter, but I thought the increase at least was established. Maybe this is a misquote?

Fabricated data to support a crackpot theory based upon a logical fallacy. I am tempted to say "that´s what passes for science on the left," but that´s what passes for everything on the left. Science, economics, history, law, philosophy, and now medicine. Individual human lives valued only by one´s future contribution to the state. Marxist medicine.

Man, we had a long back and forth debate after an article not long ago with a lefty. He was throwing all kinds of "scientist" and economist´s" names around saying that it has been proven since the 19th century... What he really did was fuse together greenhouse effect studies with grant writer theories, anecdotal instances and unsubstantiated opinions and tried to present it all as proof. Lefties really don´t have any rational thinking skills nor any knowledge of true scientific processes. They are manipulators and bullies.

"...the damage to our economy the climate change lobby is now costing us is infinitely more destructive to the livelihoods of our grand-children. Indeed, we grand-parents are finding it increasingly expensive just to keep warm as a consequence of the idiotic decisions our politicians have taken in recent years about the green production of electricity."

Sorry Global Warming nut cases, I don´t want to go backward to how my grandparents lived. I have been alive long enough to compare sixty-five plus years ago when I grew up during WWII to now. I was fortunate to have experienced those times, but I don´t wish to go back.

During WWII, I lived with my mother´s mother, a recently widowed woman, who lived in a large farm house way out in the country. Grandma´s big house didn´t have indoor plumbing or central heating, but it did have electricity and a telephone (crank kind), which meant it was a somewhat modern house.

My father´s parents lived on an even more humble farm - there was no electricity, no central heating, no telephone and no indoor plumbing. It was a really wonderful day when both grandparents moved to homes that had indoor plumbing and electricity; however, neither newer home had central heating.

Just having lived in such contrasting conditions makes one appreciate the advancements in living conditions - the global warming kooks are out-of-touch with reality. They must know they are trying to foist a hoax on us - why else would they now call it "Climate Change"? Yes, the climate does change - about every four months from summer, to winter, to fall, to spring.

Darn... and I was going to go out and buy a couple of windmills to generate some electricity and dead birds. I was thinking about starting yesterday, but it rained cats and dogs to upset the drought theory.

I think I´ll also build a 40´s type of banned incinerator out back to burn my trash. That will stop those huge trash trucks (one for each type of stuff) from driving up my street each week and pumping out all of those nasty exhaust gasses.

That reminds me, I have to have one of my cars smogged next week. I think I´ll fill the tank with $4.25 gas while I´m at the station. I hear those people at the EPA have a good handle on all of these regulations.

The Left is delighted to spend the (taxpayer) money; it flows to the leftist university and activist organizations who, having defined the crisis, are the self-proclaimed experts who stand ready to sell us the solutions to it. And it benefits other causes of theirs in addition to the academy and the activism industry: No coincidence that a key Global Warming "solution" component is to artificially drive up the price of fuel with huge taxes, which are then available to fund huge social program spending.

But "Global Warming" provides even bigger boosts to the Left. It provides the theoretical basis for total government control of everything, because everything that uses fuel - that is, every business, every plane, every car, every house - is a GW contributor. And it provides grounds for them to make everyone feel guilty just for existing. Self-flagellation and denunciation were the tools of the Inquisition, then and now.

The most interesting of all the wonderful and insightful points that he made was when he said: "There is no reproducible scientific evidence CO2 has significantly increased in the last 100 years."

This is a really important point, because this is THE absolute lynchpin of the whole BS hypothesis of MMGW - that CO2 has been increasing significantly, and that this is driving "global warming". If this data is fudged, questionable or otherwise suspect, as he says, then the whole phony edifice collapses.

I have noted two changes that he man-made global warming cultist. First, they dropped theman-made part. This was probably due to laziness rather than acknowledging that any global warming was not man-made. (In a few million years our local star, the sun, will get progressively hotter, as part of the normal life cycle for stars, making it warmer on all of the planets in our solar system.)

Second, after noting the inconvenient truth that no determinable warming has occurred over the last 17 years, replaced global warming with climate change. That way, if it got colder, warmer, wetter, or drier they would claim that was proof of climate change. But, another inconvenient truth is the climate has been continually changing long before man walked on this planet. And, most cultists don´t know the difference between climate and weather. Thus, you hear the absurd claims, such as, it rained last Tuesday is proof of climate change.

The final absurd claim is that the slight increase in CO2 is bad. CO2 is food for plants! Can we all say increased food production?

I have a question that, to date, no one has answered – since ice core samples are serving as the control establishing prior CO2 levels, has anyone scientifically established that ice is capable of totally entrapping the contents for thousands of years under successive layers of ice causing increasing pressure?

If that single control has not been affirmed, all samples of the trapped atmosphere become invalid. Since there is no way additional CO2 could be injected into the ice and a probability that existing CO2 could escape, any measurement would indicate a lower than actual reading but never the highest that could have been. The CO2 levels could have been 10 times higher in the past then they have stated.

Not following scientific methods and making assumptions is junk science used to prostitute for grant money.

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
