This Black Does Not Think Bundy is Racist
American Thinker, by Lloyd Marcus

Original Article

Posted By:quantumman, 4/26/2014 6:59:38 AM

Pick a card, any card. Racist. Sexist. Homophobic. We all knew it was only a matter of time before Democrats/liberals played one or more of their Big Three Cards to silence, intimidate, and crush opposition to their latest power-grab/tyrannical attack on our freedom. With a majority of Americans taking rancher Cliven Bundy´s side against Obama´s BLM thugs, Democrat Harry Reid concluded that it was time to play the old tried-and-true race card. As Gomer Pyle use to say, “surprise, surprise.” We knew it was coming.

Comments:
The author, LLoyd Marcus, is black. A remarkable defense of Bundy´s recent "racist" remarks.

Liberal Democrats did the same to Bill Cosby when he tried to make the same points. I think you can add Krauthammer, George Will, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity to that list. Shame on all of them. Moderates and Conservatives all need listen to the tape of everything Bundy said and they owe Mr. Bundy an apology.

"Racist" now means anyone who speaks out against Obama and his black power agenda socialist administration.

As such, the "sensitivity" of the word applies mostly in Washington, DC and other large urban areas where the liberals have brainwashed so many of the population.

Thank God there are still some real Americans spread throughout the mostly rural areas of this country that understand this tactic.

By Bundy getting off subject and talking about the circumstances surrounding some minority groups in the manner that he did, Bundy gave the left the fodder to trash him through the liberal media.

What he was really talking about was cheap labor that he could control on his ranch, be it formal slavery of the past that he had nothing to do with, or the informal type slavery using who Bundy calls "Spanish people" that is practiced today using illegal cheap foreign labor.

I don´t think Bundy was being racist, either. The problem is that Bundy is from a place and time were being plain-spoken was/is considered a positive attribute and people looked down on double-speak and tip-toeing around a subject. The left really needed to turn him into a monster so they took his words and intentionally twisted them to make him and his anti-big-government stand less popular with the unwashed masses. Don´t blame Bundy for not having the luxury of spechwriters and teleprompters.

You missed the point, #5, or perhaps I didn´t make the point clear. If Mr. Bundy´s cause was to keep a national focus on the overbearing power of the feds against himself and his cattle, he diluted and distracted that focus by wandering off into a discussion of race relations in the media spotlight he had won. Got it?

The media and liberals have defined "racist" as anyone who says anything about blacks, whether its an opinion or fact.

Racist is where you have hatred in your heart for a particular race.

Stating an opinion isn´t racism, unless its fulled with hatred.

WHY do we allow the media to define us as racist when there is no hatred, just opinions and facts?

Am just thankful that we all got see

1) a real life example of what the 2nd amendment is about
2) what government is capable of
3) the week of silence from Ted Cruz, Rush and Palin.

An additional thing that I learned - I now view Hannity as much more of a patriot than Rush. Never, never, never thought I would see that day.

Also, found Bill O´Reilly quite disgusting last night - his boasting about how smart he was in handling the Bundy affair was past unbearable. He is so transparently vain.

Mr. Bundy is a simple man who is proving that the simple truth is our most powerful weapon, as Lloyd Marcus said so well in this American Thinker piece.

It´s obvious that the "powers that be in DC" have made such a mess that they haven´t a clue how to fix it. Mr. Bundy, and America, would be better served if people with the power also had the understanding and courage of the "Cliven Bundys" to take a righteous stand simply because it´s the right thing to do. He hasn´t made any more of a mess of standing against government tyranny (and political correctness) than some of them have done, and he has been a lot more courageous and honest about it.

Btw, those who seem to think they know better than anybody else how to run our lives have been making fools of themselves for all the world to see, and Cliven Bundy is the one who needs "expert" advice to be guided through the intricacies of how to act and speak in public???

If anyone has been trying to totally destroy Mr. Bundy this week it has been Glenn Beck. I have had to turn him off after listening to his sanctimonious diatribes against Mr. Bundy. We get it Glenn, you don´t want those remarks to be associated with all that is holy, Glenn Beck.
I have always had trouble understanding who Glenn Beck is as a person. He reinvents himself so often I wonder if his wife is surprised each day by which Glenn Beck she meets that morning. Lately he has declared, "the Constitution is not God," but sounds like he thinks he is God. It is a real turn off, and so I turn his radio program off and there it will stay.

Am pretty sure that Fox executives gave a command from on high that their folks were to immediately distance themselves from Bundy. Also agree with #2 that Mr. Bundy´s bringing race into this is a real tragedy. I have not watched all the tapes, but did Mr. Bundy bring race into this because of a main stream media question (ie was it race baiting??).

The BLMs actions were breathtaking - regardless of Mr. Bundy´s beliefs. Their actions will forever be emblazoned on the public´s mind.

FTA "Any decent, fair-minded human being would understand that Bundy was condemning the slavery of government dependency in his comments regarding negros. The elderly gentleman is a rancher who is not media-savvy, nor is he schooled in the nuances of political correctness."

I believe Clive was saying that slavery whether to a plantation owner or to the Federal Government is evil. Which is worse being whipped by a plantation owner or being killed by your neighbor because he was just driving by or wanted your money, dope or woman? If you watch the show First 48 Hours you will see inner city blacks killing blacks for no reason. Welfare has destroyed the black family and the inner cities are very deadly places to live or even visit. I also believe far more blacks have been killed because of welfare than were killed during slavery. I have no stats to support just my common sense that slaves were valued by the plantation owner but the Federal Government could care less about welfare recipients.

Bundy´s expressed a valid opinion in a clumsy way. It was first reported in the NY Slimes. I think that was the first time they mentioned this Nevada standoff with the BLM. It was a non story until they could try and defend the government by attacking the character of Bundy. We had posters here saying it was all about Bundy, Bundy, Bundy. NO it was about Government Overreach, Government Overreach, Government Overreach! Suddenly Bundy needs to be Mr Clean because he had public sympathy and successfully resisted the Government attempt to quash him. The government should be restrained because that is what the constitution demands. Who cares about Bundy? Government needs to be held to high standards before any of us demand high standards of citizens.

The New York Times and then the Washington Post took his word out of context. Mr. Bundy was not stating any racist comments.

All ones needs to do is compare the two different videos----------one where Mr. Bundy is speaking and the one where the SPIN was added to further the LIBERAL CAMPAIGN which so many even on this site seems to take as gospel truth what the LIBERAL print and TV media has portrayed. SHAME on those who have such as closed mind and mimic the LIBERAL sources. Verify before making negative comments.

It´s clear that Mr. Bundy only associates with people who agree with his ideas and his phrasing. There´s a lesson in that for radical liberals, too. If one didn´t know Bundy was white, his rhetoric could be mistaken for that of a faculty member at, say, UC Santa Cruz.

I am not condemning Bundy or ignoring the defences made on his behalf on the charge of racism. This article from a black man defending him is welcome and well put. I posted a link yesterday to Kira Davis a black blogger who made a similar point. This too is welcome. Blacks can cross this minefield easier than whites. My point is that Bundy is not a saint, he should not have to be, his flaws are a distraction from the real point. The threat to us all is tyrannical government not Mr Bundy!

used by Blacks is ignored. When will common sense prevail?

As with many of the above posters have noted, Mr. Bundy´s comment was basically about those on welfare,(accustomed to it &/or led to believe that´s all they can/should expect) and thereby are denied the dignity of pride of ownership by the fruit of one´s labor.

I think we all bring our own life experiences to the fore regarding racial discrimination - discrimination is usually fear based. For instance, I grew up in a NYC borough and until the early 60´s there was little to no thought against blacks, instead the Puerto Ricans were looked down upon mainly because they were the latest newcomers & due to the criminal element that brought their nationality to attention. For me, we were taught by our father not to judge anyone by their color, their religion or the amount of cash they had. In fact, it was verboten to call anyone black at that time - which had nothing to do with the color of their skin but of the condition of their soul.

The whole nation watched this unfold, snipers, stun guns and killing cattle - for what a tortoise and some grass??? Napolitano clearly explained that a lien could just have easily been placed on Bundy´s property, but NO, the government chose to use force.

I think the liberals got annihilated on this - even Obama and Holder have been silent (the feds acted stupidly). DONE & DONE!

I am always surprised to see the advocates of Political Correctness who hang out here. Seem like misfits to me.

This country did not achieve its greatness via mincing, nuanced politically correct thinking and speaking. The squelching (or hope for self-censorship) of anyone who had the temerity to speak the truth. The truth-speakers are fearless. Perhaps a dying breed. But they are very, very American.

At this point, Bundy is his own worst enemy. He digs pits for his enemies to bury him in, he makes it easy for them to attack him by the words he speaks. I am NOT AGAINST the Man, but he´s digging deep pits for himself. He´s taking on extra issues he has no business bringing up. He needs to stick to the main issue and problem and then be done with it. He does not use wisdom and cannot express how he feels with wisdom. So in that, I have a problem with him, but FEDS have no business getting involved with stealing LAND, even if it´s not his, it´s not theirs either..but like everything else, they´ll just take it. Why aren´t they protecting our borders instead of blowing taxpayer dollars on this? That´s where they are way off as usual.

After everyone has finally heard Bundy in his own words - all of them - have a look at this from the archives:

Today we are hearing how Republicans and Conservatives are either the party of racists or that they are racists in general, but history proves a different story. This rhetoric is being pushed by those on the left and is being used as a tool to divide people. The real history is no longer taught to our children and so many adults have fallen prey to this rhetoric without actually doing the research to see if it is actually true.

If you look though the history books that are presented to our children. If you listen to politicians and pundits. If you talk to your neighbors or friends. Most, would not even believe many facts of the lost history in the Civil Rights Movement. This is a travesty of truth, and the people that have been most afflicted by this have been the African American community for not really understanding the truth about the Democrat Party and how they have buried the truth about their past.

Were you aware that even under FDR’s “New Deal” program that was to benefit lower income segments of the population, African Americans were still segregated in Soup Lines and Bread Lines?

In the 26 major civil rights votes after 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 percent of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 percent of the votes.

And read again the words of LBJ, who used the N-word with reckless abandon.

WASHINGTON - As the United States attempts to punish Russia for its actions in Ukraine, the Treasury Department is deploying an economic weapon that could prove more costly than sanctions: the Internal Revenue Service. This summer, the U.S. plans to start using a new law that will make it more expensive for Russian banks to do business in America. "It´s a huge deal," says Mark E. Matthews, a former IRS deputy commissioner. "It would throw enormous uncertainty into the Russian banking community."

The U.S. deported Honduran children as young as 1-1/2 years old on Monday in the first flight since President Obama pledged to speed up the process of sending back illegal immigrant minors from Central America. Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. [Snip] It can take up to 10 minutes for every radio, TV, cable and satellite provider to

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
