Lawsuit: Cops found nothing in raid, so they
PLANTED DRUGS to frame innocent woman

California cops planted drugs in a woman’s home to frame her after finding nothing in their illegal search of her home, a lawsuit alleges. Allison Ross has filed a federal lawsuit against against the Santa Clara sheriff’s department, crime lab and 12 officers that she claims participated in a conspiracy to plant drugs in her house and frame her for a crime she did not commit. Ross was initially charged with being under the influence of methamphetamine, but the case against her was thrown out after the district attorney determined that the police made false statements about Ross’s arrest.

Very sad. We have devolved to the point that nobody in a position of trust can be trusted. Not cops. Not teachers. Not clergy. Nobody.
Maybe this is what the Romans felt like toward the end.

Cop lawlessness stems from the lawlessness in the WH. Once the WH approved lawlessness, every single state/federal goobermint entity followed suit.

Usually it is the San Jose police doing the corrupt stuff. The Sheriffs are usually the better ones here but this just shows they are as sleazy as SJPD. I could tell you stories for days about what the LEOs here in SC County do that would curl your hair!! A couple of them tried to set up a meeting to kill my friend because he was a former bank robber who turned his life around. Another friend witnessed them murder a man by running him over, backing up and running him over a few times. Then they harassed her for over a year, continually arresting her over several dozen times on trumped up charges (judge dismissed all of them in the interest of justice) in an attempt to intimidate her so she wouldn´t testify. She did anyway and the cop was convicted.

I used to hold LEOs in high esteem because my grandpa was a police officer, but the guys and gals they hire now are not cut from the same cloth as the ones from days gone by. Sadly, many of today´s LEOs are little tyrants--not public servants anymore.

some of this garbage has been going on for a long time, just not to this extent. I know, for example, of some traffic stops that led to other things, the traffic stops occasioned by "tail light out". Tail light was out because officer broke it with his big aircraft-grade aluminum flashlight en route to driver´s door. It´s called creating probable cause, and was going on 30 years ago to my certain knowledge. Just getting more prevalent.
It´s called "trust". We no longer have it towards those who feel entitled to rule over us. Whether it´s the cop on the beat, the homeowner´s association, the mayor, the state senator, SCOTUS, the president, or the local pastor.
Trust. Once gone, hard to recover.

Yeah, but cops have to be off-duty sometime and be at home.
A knock on their door, and a 12-gauge blast when they open it, solves a lot of problems.

I´m convinced, like #5, that this sort of malfeasance has been going on for years, and it´s only now that modern electronics have begun to reveal its the extent. I once got a "wrong lane" moving violation for parking on the wrong side of the street. Challenged in court, the officer lied on the stand, saying that he had seen me drive on the wrong side into the spot; the car had in fact been parked their since the previous day - I was getting into it, not out. The case was eventually dismissed because his partner refused to testify in the bogus case.

Isn´t this something that almost everyone can agree is wrong? One of the rare instances where the federal government should step in is where our constitutional rights are violated, as when police use excessive force or plant evidence. Some of these abuses warrant the death penalty. We should hold them to a higher standard, not a lower one.

if one may respond to post #9 above:
look at the FEDS to right a wrong? With respect, are you kidding? Ask, for example, Randy Weaver, whose wife was shot in the head for the "crime" of holding her baby in her own home. Normally, that is called murder. And that is by no means the only such case. The fact that Janet Reno and others in that chain of command did not "dance the Danny Deever" is a shame and a reproach. And a reminder that the central government is not a friend nor a guardian of anything but its own interests and those of the minions thereof.
Accountability, honor, honesty, integrity, trust and trustworthiness. Getting harder to find anywhere. Tell me that the "social issues" aren´t important. Go ahead, do.

I´m troubled by #6´s call to murder policemen, and even more by the fact that four people ´liked´ that post.

We elect mayors, county sheriffs, city councilors, etc. who in turn exercise authority over LEO´s. When government doesn´t work, our recourse is to win the next election. It´s hard work to vet and support good candidates. There aren´t any shortcuts, especially murder.

The tens of thousands of Central Americans who have crossed America’s porous borders over the last year came on the assumption that once on U.S. soil they would never have to return to their countries. The instigators of this influx correctly viewed Obama’s de facto support for amnesty as a flashing green light. After all, how seriously were they going to take U.S. immigration law under a president who treated border security as a punch line to a joke? In 2011, Obama loudly mocked conservatives, the very ones who foresaw today’s mushrooming crisis, as malcontents crying wolf about a vulnerable border. “You

There’s a very simple solution to this Obamanation that’s occurring on the southern border. Enforce the law. By which I mean, deport them. Deport them all, not just the latest huddled masses yearning to live for free, forever, in Section 8 housing on EBT cards. No, we must deport all of the 12 or 20 or 30 million illegal aliens who are turning this country into a Third World flophouse. Can we do it? Yes, we can.
