Boehner mocks GOP colleagues

MADISON TOWNSHIP House Speaker John Boehner theatrically mocked his fellow Republican Congressmen for being afraid to reform immigration policy when he spoke Thursday before the Middletown Rotary Club in his home district. "Here´s the attitude. Ohhhh. Don´t make me do this. Ohhhh. This is too hard," Boehner whined before a luncheon crowd at Brown´s Run County Club in Madison Township. "We get elected to make choices. We get elected to solve problems and it´s remarkable to me how many of my colleagues just don´t want to ... They´ll take the path of least resistance." Boehner said he´s been working for 16 or 17

What wimpy Republicans are saying is that to get anything done on so-called immigration reform, is that the Republicans will have to help pass the liberal Democrat amnesty because the Democrats would never help pass any sort of Republican immigration reform bill. That´s called bipartisanship these days

Wrong!! You got elected to uphold the Constitution, and to enact laws that uphold the Constitution, not provide easy access to taxpayer funds by non-citizens, nor enact laws to favor those who have already broken our laws over immigrants who follow the rules.

This includes laws that allow employers to undercut the wages of US citizens by allowing excessive foreign workers in who will work for less.

No Boehner, you are taking the path of least resistance. He is not lifting a finger to fight for closing the border first! He is not addressing the genuine concerns regarding immigration effecting jobs for all Americans, that more illegals will further stress and fracture the welfare, healthcare and educational systems and is too ignorant to realize that the Democrats are just using him. There should be no negotiations whatsoever until that border is closed. Obama will do what he wants to anyway. Why should the Republicans help him??

What he said is terrible insult to any American who does not agree with this, and there are many. His behavior was almost as bad as Harry Reid. Why insult his constituents?? What a disgrace he is! He should not be allowed to remain Speaker. Period.

And Mr. Boehner, why don´t you get yourself down to Mexico and let them know that they need to do something to reform their government so there is not a need for their population to move north.

Boehner complains GOP opponents of immigration reform say it´s too hard and they don´t want to make a choice about it. He then says that´s what congressmen were elected to do: make choices. What Boehner fails to realize is that opponents of immigration reform have made a choice; they´ve decided not to support it. Deal with it, Boehner.

#22 rises characteristically and predictably to defend the indefensible. Does anyone seriously think John Boehner´s "step by step" immigration reform is really about "securing the borders and enforcing immigration laws"? If that´s true, let´s start enforcing immigration laws and deporting the illegals right now. Not after we pass more bogus immigration reform legislation. Right. Now.

And does anyone seriously think Barack Obama will faithfully enforce any immigration reform laws he doesn´t like? Of course not.

I honestly don´t know what´s worse: The lies people tell themselves, or the lies they try to tell us.

#27 poses a variation on the eternal existential question; which comes first, the lie to self or the lie to others?

The pluperfect condensation that storms out of the Great Plains is born of the failure to face the reality of our situation. It is much easier to cling to the fantasy that we still enjoy a two-party system. It’s much easier to root for “our team” against the “other team” than to admit they’re just watching a flag football scrimmage between players on the same team.

The empty cheers and rote support no longer rally me, but I do pity the cheerleaders as I walk towards the parking lot to join the rebels who refuse to conform to rigged rules for rigged games. I’m tired of the lies, no matter from whence they come.

I’ve got TEA. I am John Galt. Up the rebels!
