Why You Can´t Compare Hillary
Clinton´s Age to Ronald Reagan´s

National Journal, by Stephanie Stamm & Patrick Reis

Original Article

The age comparisons between Hillary Clinton and Ronald Reagan seem as natural as they are nonsensical. Yes, were Clinton to win in 2016, she would take office at age 69—just as Reagan did in 1981. And yes, the comparison is often made when Clinton´s critics and allies debate whether she has the health to serve out two presidential terms. But it´s a wildly misleading comparison, as the number that matters when assessing Clinton´s health is not her age, but her life expectancy. And there is where the Clinton-Reagan comparison is revealed as a stretch. A combination of federal data and

The article concedes that life expectancy is an imperfect measure. And it is imperfect for men and women. Jacqueline Kennedy died at 64, didn´t she? So you actually can compare Hillary´s age to Reagan´s.

It must be because of the Dem war on women. Boxer, Feinstein, Pelosi, et al. still have to work. /s

FTA: Clinton´s life expectancy—one that includes her gender, era, and other factors

That description does not specifically express whether or not they included her medical history. Were they comparing a "generic female" or a woman with a history of falling with a head injury so severe that she could not testify when subpoenaed by Congress.

It seems to me that one unexpected fall often leads to other subsequent falls, and may shorten one´s life expectancy. Just the stress of a national campaign could cause added vertigo, if she isn´t very careful.

A fellow I knew married a girl and then found out she needed thousands of dollars worth of dental work. His advice to anyone is before you propose to a woman take a good look into her mouth. Is anyone sure of The Beast´s age? Has anyone other than a dentist seen the inside of her mouth. Could be she´s some sort of life form that grows additional teeth with passing years. Sort of like a tree that grows new rings each year or a rattlesnake that get more rattles. To heck with Hussein´s birth certificate. I want to see The Beast´s paperwork.

FTA: ´´...the number that matters when assessing Clinton´s health is not her age, but her life expectancy.´´

Asserted but never backed up in the article. This is a lame attempt to tamp down the age issue. And a clumsy one at that. In stark contrast, an astute and very experienced Reagan eliminated the entire issue with one well timed and delivered quip to Mondale at a presidential debate. Such was Reagan. These two writers here might as well have asserted that wearing pantsuits are indicative of great leadership potential.

In fact later in the article they talk about some of Reagan´s long life being spent under Alzheimer´s... So no neither long life nor expectancy of long life are definitive as to a person´s health during that long life.

Health varies enormously individual to individual after, say, age 65, defying the use of any age related stat or expectation to evaluate a candidate.

The issue remains. What in the world has this woman ACCOMPLISHED that would recommend her AT ALL to the presidency. In our national haste to assuage our racial guilt and feel good about ourselves, we overlooked the power of that simple question with obama. We must doggedly stay on that question for Hillary.

EVERY Hillary supporter must be confronted with ´´Tell me all about Hillary and her accomplishments, her leadership, her ability to unite this great nation. I´m listening.´´

In 2012, I alerted the federal government to the growing problem of unaccompanied minors making the treacherous journey across Mexico to reach the United States. At that point the minors could annually be numbered in the hundreds or thousands. In recent months, tens of thousands of children have come across the border and are now housed in federal facilities across the U.S., the result of failed federal policies and Washington´s indifference to securing the border. I visited one of these facilities in June and saw these children, frightened and alone, who left their homes and families, survived a harrowing trip, and
