CIA is quietly ramping up aid

The U.S. is providing more arms and training to the moderate rebels in Syria, under a growing secret program run by the CIA in Jordan. Sources tell NPR that secret program could be supplemented by a more public effort in the coming months involving American military trainers. The change in strategy comes as the White House sees Syrian leader Bashar Assad growing in strength, and continuing to strike rebel strongholds. Another factor: Russian leaders appear unwilling to help end the three-year-old civil war and are continuing to provide weapons to Assad. Finally, al-Qaida fighters and their allies are expanding in Syria, a

Hillary Clinton joined the locals in Chappaqua for a Memorial Day parade, including GOP gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino. Donning a patriotic flag scarf and straw hat, the former secretary of state took part in the New Castle Memorial Day parade without much fanfare and without her typical entourage, according to BuzzFeed reporter Ruby Cramer. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s opponent in the race, Astorino, is a fellow Westchester County resident and also made an appearance at the parade. He stopped for a chat with Clinton during the event and tweeted out a picture to his supporters. Clinton was spotted before the festivities kicked

Hoping to distract Americans from his death panels for veterans, Obama made a Bush style visit to Afghanistan and managed to cause even more harm to national security by outing the CIA Station Chief there. The Democrats did their best to turn Valerie Plame into a martyr even though the only danger that the leftist faced was fewer invitations to cocktail parties. That didn’t stop Hollywood liberals from churning out a movie about her complete with action scenes. Will the same standard hold for whoever outdated the CIA Station Chief in Afghanistan? Unlikely. ATLANTA, Ga. – According to a new study, pedophiles’ brains are “abnormally tuned” to find young children attractive. Lead Researcher Jorge Ponseti from the University of Kiel in Germany says now it may be possible to diagnose pedophiles before they are able to offend. The researchers found that pedophiles have the same neurological reaction to images of those they find attractive as those of people with ordinary sexual predilections. A pedophile’s relevant cerebral areas become engaged when they see children. When an adult finds someone attractive, their occipital areas become engaged, but this is inverted for pedophiles. Is it better for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton if Democrats boycott or participate in the new House investigation of the Benghazi attacks? That question is central to Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s decision whether to appoint Democratic members to the House select committee. Several Democrats have urged Pelosi not to participate in the committee, saying it is unwise to lend an air of legitimacy to an investigation they have derided as a political witch hunt. But others, particularly those close to Clinton, believe that having Democrats on the panel is the only way to ensure both sides of the story will

Judicial Watch issued a 106-page report based on the documents it received after suing the Department of Health and Human Services — a case initiated to find out just how badly the enrollment process went. The report found how there were 43,208 accounts created on day one of Obamacare, but only one that was successfully completed. And that just shows how bug-ridden and convoluted the enrollment process was, despite the White House mantra
