GREELEY – Several Montfort Elementary School students were suspended Tuesday after school officials discovered they were selling and trading stolen, loose-leaf marijuana and edible forms of the drug at school. "Over the past two days, we have had two separate incidents of students bringing marijuana into our school, both in the form of loose-leaf marijuana and an edible form of the drug," Principal Jennifer Sheldon wrote in a letter to parents. On Monday, a fourth-grade student brought loose-leaf marijuana to school and sold it to three other students. A student who could not afford to purchase the loose-leaf marijuana brought an edible

Imagine having grandparents who are stoners.

I am SO lucky. My grandparents did crazy things like, keep a nice house, teach me how to fish, made home-made everything, played ping pong, and looked after us when my parents went on vacation.

What scum people have become, a race to the bottom. I would bit** slap those people if I could, for exposing these children to drugs.

Wow. Reminds me of how in elementary school we would cook up a batch of cinnamon toothpicks, smuggle them into school and sell them for a few cents each. It made for a forbidden tasty treat that could be concealed in the mouth and we thought we were making a fortune. Not to mention ´smuggling´etc.. was fun. If caught it was treated as a big deal, but no suspension or anything. The times, they are a-changing.

The fact that Coloradans express surprise at this shows how socks-over-shoes stupid they are. They legalize drugs then are surprised children get them.
Too many drugs for too many years, I suppose.

Two New York men are suing the New Jersey Lottery after they threw out a Powerball ticket worth $1 million. Salvatore Cambria and Erick Onyango, of Suffern, New York, argue in their federal lawsuit that the lottery didn´t quickly update its website with the winning numbers from the March 23 drawing. Cambria tells The Record newspaper he asked Onyango to check the website soon after the 11 p.m. drawing. Cambria tossed the ticket when the numbers didn´t match. The men now think the site was showing the previous drawing´s numbers. They say they realized they had won the next day.

For Democratic lawmakers who were hesitant to sign onto the sweeping 2010 health care law, one of the most powerful selling points was that the Affordable Care Act would actually reduce the federal budget deficit, despite the additional costs of extending health insurance coverage to the uninsured. Four years after enactment of what is widely viewed as President Barack Obama’s key legislative achievement, however, it’s unclear whether the health care law is still on track to reduce the deficit or whether it may actually end up adding to the federal debt. The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

The White House said over and over again Monday that Obama will not travel to the border with Mexico despite flying to Texas this week to raise money for Democratic candidates there.
