Biden to Russia: ´Stop
talking and start acting´

USA Today, by Kim Hjelmgaard

Original Article

Posted By:BaseballFan, 4/22/2014 9:54:17 AM

Vice President Joe Biden has been speaking in Ukraine on the second day of a trip where he is showing support to the nation´s fledgling pro-Western government. In an address in Kiev on Tuesday, Biden repeated a U.S. call for Russia to pull back its military from Ukraine´s borders. (Snip) But Biden said that while the U.S. was prepared to support Ukraine in its attempts to secure a unified country, he urged Ukrainians to "fight the cancer of corruption that is endemic in your system right now."

Comments:
This would be funny if it weren´t so damned serious. Imagine anyone from the Obama/Biden administration lecturing on stopping corruption.

Obama has dismantled our military. The admirals and generals have been fired for liking women, playing poker, cursing, and cheating on stupid government tests. We have not spent any money on any new weapons system, or deployed any. Then, exactly who would follow Obama anywhere -- nobody. Putin knows we have a fool and is enjoying himself.

#4, I read somewhere that Barack [or more likely ValJarJar] gathered the service chiefs and the Chairman of the JCS and told them: "´Don´t Ask Don´t Tell´ is going AWAY. The new motto will be ´All Gay, All Day.´ Gaiety will now be permitted, and in the future it may be mandatory. If you can´t get behind this idea [so to speak!!], then get the f*** out. If you don´t get out, we´ll find some dirt on you and your commanders and kick them out."

As noted, Russia knows the difference between talk and action.

As usual, our resident village idiot has it exactly backwards. Russia is not talking, they´re acting. They took over Crimea and are about to slice a little more off Ukraine, not to mention their intentions for Moldova. It is Emperor Zippy, the village idiot´s boss, who is all talk and no action. In psychiatric circles, this type of thing is called "Projection". Its when you take your own worst habits and try to ascribe them to others.

Two New York men are suing the New Jersey Lottery after they threw out a Powerball ticket worth $1 million. Salvatore Cambria and Erick Onyango, of Suffern, New York, argue in their federal lawsuit that the lottery didn´t quickly update its website with the winning numbers from the March 23 drawing. Cambria tells The Record newspaper he asked Onyango to check the website soon after the 11 p.m. drawing. Cambria tossed the ticket when the numbers didn´t match. The men now think the site was showing the previous drawing´s numbers. They say they realized they had won the next day.

For Democratic lawmakers who were hesitant to sign onto the sweeping 2010 health care law, one of the most powerful selling points was that the Affordable Care Act would actually reduce the federal budget deficit, despite the additional costs of extending health insurance coverage to the uninsured. Four years after enactment of what is widely viewed as President Barack Obama’s key legislative achievement, however, it’s unclear whether the health care law is still on track to reduce the deficit or whether it may actually end up adding to the federal debt. The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

President Obama evidently has decided not to put a human face on the crisis unfolding at the U.S. southern border—not even his own. The White House said over and over again Monday that Obama will not travel to the border with Mexico despite flying to Texas this week to raise money for Democratic candidates there. It´s certainly in part a political decision, one meant to avoid taking ownership of a difficult issue on which the White House would prefer to share blame. (Snip) In other words, if Obama goes goes to the border, he owns the problem. If he doesn't, he's blasted for a lack of leadership.
