BLM Eyes 90,000 Acres of Texas Land
Breitbart.com, by Bob Price

After the recent Bundy Ranch episode by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Texans are becoming more concerned about the BLM’s focus on 90,000 acres along a 116 mile stretch of the Texas/Oklahoma boundary. The BLM is reviewing the possible federal takeover and ownership of privately-held lands which have been deeded property for generations of Texas landowners.

The federal land grab continues...

I´m wondering how those Ldotters who were so righteously against anything having to do with Cliven Bundy are feeling this morning. Oh, I´m sure it could NEVER happen to them.....

Pay the price or stay away.

BY the way, nothing gives any government the right to sieze or confiscate property...read the Constitution.

AND that SCOTUS case where they allow govt. to ´steal´ land for a commercial use, it´s time ti sieze the homes/land of ALL SCOTUS members that voted for that illegal act!

In 1845 when Texas joined the Union - the articles of incorporation stated that Texas would keep it´s own public lands and pay it´s own national debt. So, the FED always has had to buy land in Texas or lease if from the State.

Incidentally, Texas A&M was a land grant college but since the US had no land in Texas - it was endowed with land in other states.

FTA: ´“The U.S. Supreme Court has tried twice to settle this dispute, which at one point brought the governor of Oklahoma to the border in a tank…However, true to the slogan ´One Riot, One Ranger,´ the good governor of Oklahoma and his tank was held off by a lone Texas Ranger on his horse."´

We need a Convention of States NOW.
So far, a balanced budget is part of the platform. Preventing a takeover of State property should be another.

Sorry, one more post.

FTA: ´ The BLM describes its “decision area as about 104,000 acres of BLM administered surface lands, 593,000 acres of split-estate land (private land with federal mineral interests) and 5,270,000 acres of federal mineral interests on land managed by other federal agencies."´

I don´t believe there are any "federal mineral interests" in Texas along the Oklahoma border. Mineral classified sections in Texas means the state minerals under the section, but allows the surface user to share in the minerals.

There may be some federal minerals on the Oklahoma side.

Like #1 said, Don´t mess with Texas" can also apply to Oklahoma. They´re tough too.

If gov´t thugs start to move against Texas and Oklahoma, there might and maybe will be violence with even more militia/non-militia entering the fray against gov´t.

The anti-gov´t move will spread across the country.

No matter your opinion on the Bevin situation, there is no denying it has exposed another tyrannical overreach by the Messiah. It will be made legal by his AG, his SCOTUS, the DEM´s, and the go along get along GOP establishment leadership.

It is becoming more clear that the states will have to reign in the federal statist leviathan.

Ask yourself, why does the US Government need to own 85% of Nevada, or acquire more land in Texas, or any other state? What purpose does it serve?

The big goal of the government is to seize the mineral rights. Obama doesn´t like that Texas has tripled oil production in spite of his efforts to slow it down. They also want to have a say in "land management".

A little history lesson here: The feds already tried and failed to grab some of Texas´s minerals in the form of the "tidelands" Thanks to then Governor Alan Shivers and President Dwight Eisenhower, the federal government lost the challenge.

Obama, Reid, and the BLM is not welcome in Texas. We sent Cruz. We will have to puff up Cornyn, but we will do that. Gohmert is there. Gov Perry won´t allow it. So if the BLM thinks they had a fight in Az, they have not really been in one yet.

Take it from a Nevadan, if it involves land, water and minerals Harry Reid and his butt-boy Neil Kornze (head of BLM) have stacked the deck against Texas. They will play this one like a parent solving the problem of two kids arguing over a baseball: They will take the baseball away.

Expect a battalion of heavily-armed BLM Brownshirts to show up any day now.

#2 and "likes" - I think when Ldotters who previously opposed Mr Bundy - they did so on the basis of what we believed at the time that he was on the wrong side of the LAW, and didn´t have legal legs to stand on. What has come to light when more truth is revealed has allowed many of us to revise our stance.

The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School.
