Calif. moves to ban judges

California is proposing to ban members of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) from serving as judges because the Boy Scouts do not allow gay troop leaders, The Daily Caller has learned. In a move with major legal implications, The California Supreme Court Advisory Committee on The Code of Judicial Ethics has proposed to classify the Boy Scouts as practicing “invidious discrimination” against gays, which would end the group’s exemption to anti-discriminatory ethics rules and would prohibit judges from being affiliated with the group. “The Committee’s invitation ignores the fact that the change also encompasses other youth organizations whose

"Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Boy Scouts of America?"

A similar phrase was an outrage to the left when rightly trying to expose Communist operatives, but now that the Communists have won, it´s off to the gulag for any who dare oppose their foul agenda.

New litmus test will include a peek under the judges´ stained robes; piercings? Woman´s underwear on men? Porno mags featuring young boys? Take your seat at the bench, Your Honor.

We thought it was an aberration when the Boy Scouts were booed at the Democratic National convention It was not. The scouts stand for everything that is morally pure and upright, and liberals hate them for it.

So, one wonders if the BSA should have held firm on their ban on openly gay scouts as well. You cannot please liberals; they are all or nothing. Why are we not the same?

#3, that is not funny...lots of good people live in California. We can´t help it that all the crazy leftists from Back East came here and destroyed this once Golden State! We never wanted them to come. Remember the bumper stickers "Welcome to California, now go home"? Well, they didn´t. A lot of it was fueled by the hippy movement too. Anyway, this is really wrong on every level. But it is clear that it is just a ruse to make sure to block the appointment or election of any conservative judges. It is clear it has NOTHING to do with the BSA or gays.

The Boy Scouts do not ban gay leaders. There are probably a number of gay leaders who support the program of Scouting, and add value to it.

The prohibition is against "avowed gay leaders". In essence, those who have a chip on their shoulder about being gay and would not get into Scouting to make Scouting better--they would bring their own agenda.

Scouting has worked for over a hundred years, it needs no "fundamental change".

How sadly ironic that the original case which sent the left bonkers about this whole issue involved freedom of association which the BSA won and now we have a government legal body discussing a rule that will again violate the right of freedom of association for their own members.
These folks are a disgrace to the bar and even considering such a rule is a violation of legal ethics.

Early prediction: If this move succeeds and isn´t struck down in Federal court, it will lead to a move to ban Catholic and Evangelical Christian judges (because those Churches teach that the essence of marriage is intrinsically monogamous and heterosexual, and in the Giblet activists´ cosmology, that discriminates against gays). When this whole motion has been played out, we will see that the Boy Scouts are not the real targets here; but that this is really the first step in an attempt to outflank religions on gay marriage.

A climactic battle between religious rights and sexuality rights in this country is coming. And unless recent trends are reversed pretty soon, religion could end up on the losing end.

So, getting gays accepted as scouts was not really the goal - they don´t care if any are Boy Scouts anyway. The aim was to break the foundation with cannonball after cannonball until the whole organization crumbles, destroyed.

I´ve been a supporter of equal rights for all, all my life. And this is regardless of whether I agree with some organizations views or not. I support one, I support all as long as they´re not opposed to the US of A.
Agree or not, the Boy Scouts have their God given and constitutionally protected right.
The gay community is accepted, it´s time for them to grow up and join the rest of the establishment. They know they have bad apples just as all the rest do.
Honestly, who wants to have a John Wayne Gacy Scout Master?
It´s time for gay community to step forward with a plan instead of their surrogates just mouthing some shallow and pedantic criticism. Banning, boycotting and repression is so last century. Do THEY really want to return there?
The Scouts are a unique situation, the Gay community is uniquely qualified to screen out the bad apples.
Let´s be honest, Darwin basically tells us the gay community will never be, can never be, a majority community. The Muslim´s will have taken over Western civilization before that happens.
America´s constitution and her conscience reminds (even if some elect from both parties choose to forget), they are also and always will be our brothers and sisters, always protected under the law. But the protection of one party does not negate the protection of another, especially when there are minors involved. The adults need to be the responsible party.
I am embarrassed for the judges and also the legislators. I´d be embarrassed for Californians too, but they´ve already proven by their actions and votes, they´re beyond embarrassment.
Maybe it´s time. Perhaps, we really should sell California. What a great way to reduce the deficit and let California be another´s golden state for a change.

Virtually every key House Republican, from Speaker John Boehner on down, has vowed to oppose a conference committee with the Senate´s immigration bill passed last year. And lawmakers working to craft legislation to address the tens of thousands of children streaming across the southern U.S. border say it won´t touch citizenship for illegal aliens, increased visas, or any other topics than border security. But a key veteran of the immigration wars on Capitol Hill is warning that legislation to amend a 2008 law being cited for cumbersome, years-long deportations would theoretically open the door to a conference committee on the controversial

President Obama’s defiant emphasis on executive action reveals a larger failure looming for his legacy: His inability to work with Republicans means that he’s unlikely to score even one significant legislative achievement over the final years of his presidency. Unless Democrats win back the House and hold onto the Senate in November, a scenario dismissed by most political analysts, Mr. Obama has said goodbye long ago to his biggest accomplishments in Congress. They occurred back in 2010, when Democrats controlled the House and Senate, and Mr. Obama signed into law Obamacare, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform act and a two-year extension
