Lessons Learned and Lessons Missed
from the Attempted Land Grab

Canada Free Press, by Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

Original Article

Posted By:SpeedMaster, 4/19/2014 6:36:46 AM

The recent standoff at the Bundy ranch in Nevada has taught us many lessons, but the most important one was missed. We learned that the government will do anything to private citizens in order to grab land and private property either under the guise of protecting an “endangered” desert tortoise that is actually overpopulated, or getting rid of “feral” and destructive “trespassing cattle” grazing the land for generations, cattle that are in the way of developing a $5 billion Chinese solar panel plant (ENN), and the exploitation of rare earth elements in the larger adjacent area.

Comments:
These agencies need their funding cut.

We need to hire a rational human in November 2016. We need a person that will dramatically scale back the ridiculous rules and mandates that our federal government has been imposing on our nation for the last 8-10 years. We need someone to do to DC what Sarah Palin did to Alaska.

Through the EPA, the feds want to control everything that Obamacare does not control. Using the EPA and Michelle Obama, they are telling us what we can and cannot eat. We are on a fast slope to total tyranny with the Democrats at the helm.

About the only person I´d trust now and absolutely would vote for is Sarah Palin. There is an innate honesty about her that still scares the bejeezus out of liberals. As for that land grab stuff, I have a feeling this won´t end well. No, I don´t think it´s over yet.

Well, I certainly hope we will nominate a person we can be sure will finish the term if elected. That rules out at least one.

Back to the subject of the article, however, it is obvious that the feds own too much land. A new president can work on this. Land can be returned to the states or sold to private buyers.

#7, please google why Sarah was forced to resign.

And I assume you do not like her accomplishments as Governor. Here they are:

Cut state spending between 2007 and 2010 by 9.5%
Reduced federal earmark requests by more than 80%
Invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding, and implemented the Senior Benefits Program to provide support for low-income older Alaskans
Rejected much of President Obama’s "stimulus money" in 2009.
Proposed a $2.6 billion investment in the Education Fund to help fund public education for the future
Used her line-item veto to cut more than a quarter billion in superfluous spending in 2007
In 2008, Governor Palin vetoed more than a quarter billion in superfluous spending
Utilized line item reductions to reduce proposed spending by $80.3 million in 2009
Signed energy legislation suspending the state motor fuel tax
Provide Alaskan residents with a “resource rebate” to help offset high energy costs
Lowered unemployment insurance tax rates
Left Alaska with an improved credit rating during and following her tenure as Governor

I do not understand why you think these fundamental changes to Alaska were bad.

Sarah Palin actually spent two years in office doing something before being asked to join John McPain´s ticket. It was worth a try. We now have a Community Organizer who never spent more than two years in any job including being a state senator and a US senator. He was not a full professor; he did not finish writing his own books. He never did anything worthwhile, yet he is now President of the US. Go figure.

Some will never learn, no matter the lesson. Evidenced here in comments there are those that desire the status quo and the moral, honest and "servant" politician does not penetrate their narrow-minded thoughts. The thought agencies will stop with the stupid regulations is a pipe dream with the current set of individuals elected to represent the people. They could, if they wanted to, fight these regulations of the alphabet agencies, but so many of the Establishment are more interested in enriching their own portfolios they no time to protect the interest of the country and it population. It´s too easy to continue with the status quo.

GOP Establishment: Congress Should Give
"Blank Check" to Address Border Crisis
Breitbart Big Government, by Tony Lee    Original Article

While liberal activists keep pushing Democrats to make more concessions regarding the flood of illegal immigrant children across the border, GOP consultants in D.C. are suggesting that Republicans roll over and approve President Barack Obama´s request for $3.7 billion without any concessions. And they are doing so to liberal outlets like the Huffington Post. Since only $400 million of those funds would actually go to strengthen border security, Republicans have been wary of giving the Obama administration a "blank check" without getting some concessions, like having National Guard troops on the border or changing a 2008 law that

The DCCC, the campaign arm for Rep. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, has raised $22 million more than the House GOP for the fall elections. That result is surprising enough, as Democrats´ minority status gives them little political leverage in the House. More surprising, though, is that Democrats have raised almost three times as much money, $46 million v. $17 million, as Republicans from small-dollar grass roots donors. The political landscape and recent polling would suggest the opposite situation.

Sims, a former chief of staff to Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant, leaves his campaign manager post having won a bitter primary fight against odds but also amid allegations of vote-buying and other improprieties that have engulfed the election´s outcome in acrimony.

Congress should not provide the Obama administration with any additional funding until it uses current resources to secure the border and confront illegal immigration, according to Texas Republican Rep. Lamar Smith. “This isn’t a funding problem, it’s an enforcement problem. Rather than enforce our nation’s immigration laws, the President has chosen to ignore them. Instead, he continues to call for massive amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants,” Smith said. Tuesday, President Obama submitted his emergency funding request to Congress – seeking $3.7 billion to deal with the ongoing influx of unaccompanied children and family units illegally entering the United States.

A terrible polling season just got humiliating for President Obama. On top of collapsing personal and job approval numbers, and a stunning loss in public confidence, a new Quinnipiac poll shows that the American people now see a president who rode into office on a wave of hope and change as the worst president since World War II. Adding insult to injury, in hindsight, only 38% of voters believe Obama is doing a better job than his 2012 Republican rival Mitt Romney would have. A plurality of 45% believe Romney would be doing a better job than Obama. When asked who the

This is not the first time the corrupt national GOP power structure and the Mississippi Republican Party have betrayed conservatism. By now, the deeply questionable practices of the Thad Cochran campaign and his apparatchiks in Mississippi are known to all. Mysterious robo-calls, unaccounted for mailings, street money, all designed to not just to defeat but ruin Chris McDaniel, because he had the temerity to take on the Establishment. The anti-conservative forces inside the GOP even engaged and paid Democratic consultants to help destroy the campaign of a fellow Republican.

Stars are aligning for a big Republican victory this November – solidifying and expanding the GOP’s majority in the House and perhaps gaining one in the Senate. This is a best-case scenario, and any majority in the Senate would be a slim one. But the importance of removing Harry Reid as majority leader cannot be overstated. That’s why Democrats will pull every dirty trick in their deep bag to hold the Senate, and sadly many Republicans will help them in that quest. President Obama will have two years left to wreak havoc on the country after the next election, but he can only throw stones into the river of time, not permanently change its

Last Tuesday in Mississippi, incumbent Republican Sen. Thad Cochran beat his challenger, State Sen. Chris McDaniel, in a Republican runoff. There is no dispute that Cochran won by bringing thousands of Democrats into the Republican runoff to support him. Cochran´s victory, if left unaddressed by conservatives, will set a dangerous precedent within Republican primaries. Republican PACs, national Republican political operatives and the Republican establishment collaborated to accuse conservative and tea party activists of racism. These Republicans painted their very base as the second coming on the KKK and Hitler.

Republican Party elders have learned well from their political idol, Barack H. Obama. After observing the total lawlessness of President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder over the past five and half years, as both men ignored all checks and balances without consequence, ruling Republican elites have seen fit to adopted their strategy of overt lawlessness. Unburdened from ethics, state election laws, or voter accountability, national GOP party masters adopted and replicated Obama and Holder’s “best practices” in the deep red state of Mississippi.

The only reason liberalism survives is because there´s usually a good bit of lag between when a policy is being implemented and the time when the American people get to see the results. If Americans could somehow magically see what would happen in a decade or two after a liberal policy has passed, there would be no liberals left. Instead, back in the real world, liberals create or exacerbate disasters with their policies, blame everyone other than themselves, and then demand more government action to fix the problem they screwed up in the first place. Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´."
