‘Ridiculous’: Administration punts on
Keystone, Obama faces Dem revolt

Fox News, by Staff

The Obama administration once again has punted on a final decision for the Keystone XL pipeline, announcing ahead of the holiday weekend that it is extending a key review period indefinitely -- a move that could push off a determination until after the midterm elections. Republicans, as well as red-state Democrats who want the pipeline approved, slammed the administration for the delay. "It´s absolutely ridiculous that this well over five year long process is continuing for an undetermined amount of time," Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.H., said in a statement. Republican Nebraska Rep. Lee Terry called the decision "shameful," particularly since

Rather than beating the Bengazi drum which is of absolutely zero interest to the average voter; the GOP should be beating the Keystone drum. But the GOP is known as the beyond stupid party for good reason.

idiots. What these pipeline fools should do is build a rail terminal in northern North Dakota ten miles south of the Canadian border. A pipeline south from there doesn´t need the feds approval. The feds could then dither and whine over a cross border pipeline that runs ten miles.

This decision helps Warren Buffet who makes billions transporting the oil by train.

Plus Obama is trying to make nice with the Saudis who are angry with him for some reason I don´t remember as is the rest of the world. To the citizens of the United States Obama say "go fly a kite!"

Mary Landrieu is stamping her pretty little foot in sputtering rage and kissing that Senate seat good-bye.

A source tipped me off last week to a curious occurrence: It seems that two planeloads of illegal aliens were recently shipped to Massachusetts. The first reportedly landed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford. According to my tipster, approximately 160 illegal immigrants arrived on that flight and stayed nearly a week before being transferred to a Department of Homeland Security site and then released. The second flight reportedly was diverted from Hanscom to Boston´s Logan Airport this past weekend. I am told that both Massachusetts and New Hampshire officials were on hand. I reached out to Hanscom AFB for

Zanesville -- Every two weeks, an Ohio man drives 4,200 miles to save unwanted dogs from overpopulated shelters in the South, packs them up in a semitrailer and finds them loving homes in the northeastern United States. Greg Mahle, 51, begins the five-day journey in his Zanesville hometown in eastern Ohio and drives down to Houston. He picks up about 80 dogs there and at stops in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Tennessee. He then takes them to pre-arranged homes in states including Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Vermont. Mahle estimates that he and his Rescue Road Trips company

I´ve always thought entrenched left-wing journalists in Washington needed their heads examined. Much to my satisfaction, it appears the corporate media bosses of at least one Beltway anchor now agree. According to The Washington Post this week, NBC News hired a "psychological consultant" to examine why flailing "Meet the Press" moderator David Gregory has been bombing in the ratings. The overpriced shrinks (NBC prefers the euphemism "brand consultants") came from the New York-based brand fixer-upper Elastic Strategy. They interviewed Gregory´s wife. They interrogated his friends. They crunched their numbers. They compiled their reports. And after all that, the "experts" are

Has Nancy Pelosi seen a newspaper lately? (Pro tip, hon: Like the Obamacare monstrosity, you have to read it to find out what´s in it.) I´d love to see her face in the wake of the veritable epidemic of Democratic corruption now sweeping the country. Pelosi´s blink count must be off the charts. I´m going to make it easy on Pelosi and put all of the latest cases in one handy rogue´s gallery reference list. But let´s not be naive. God hates Fred Phelps. I so want to hold up a placard emblazoned with that message and stand yards away from members of Phelps’ family as they grieve the death of their hate-mongering patriarch. But I cannot. Phelps founded the Westboro Baptist Church, a Kansas–based church that spewed homophobic vitriol for decades. While Phelps also hated Jews and an assortment of other minorities, it was his vile diatribes against gays that reached epic proportions. He discovered that by protesting funerals – particularly military funerals – he could get national attention. And he did. He also inflicted pain on the families

The U.S. deported Honduran children as young as 1-1/2 years old on Monday in the first flight since President Obama pledged to speed up the process of sending back illegal immigrant minors from Central America. Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
