The disappearance of US will
Jerusalem Post, by Caroline B. Glick

Original Article

Posted By:MDMuskrat, 4/18/2014 10:31:12 AM

The most terrifying aspect of the collapse of US power worldwide is the US’s indifferent response to it. In Europe, in Asia, in the Middle East and beyond, America’s most dangerous foes are engaging in aggression and brinkmanship unseen in decades. As Gordon Chang noted at a symposium in Los Angeles last month hosted by the David Horowitz Freedom Center, since President Barack Obama entered office in 2009, the Chinese have responded to his overtures of goodwill and appeasement with intensified aggression against the US’s Asian allies and against US warships.

Comments:
Why is Obama doing this to us? And why do we remain apathetic/indifferent to our fate?

Why is Obama doing this? Why does followers of Islam want to destroy us? Obama is one of them.....hello people! He wants what they want......destroy USA and he everything he has done has been to destroy USA.....wipe out our economy, take away our health via no doctors, no medicine, no healthcare and he´s doing it....it´s working ..oh yes, it´s working because no one is getting taken care of.....just promises and lies but there is no healthcare for anyone. Their hope is to kill us all off, first the elderly, sick and weak (that was Hitler´s plan too) so no economy and no healthcare.......that will do great damage and then control over all the masses since no one has any money and is too sick to do anything. It´s a PLAN and has been since even before he became President. AND BTW, he is not for the Blacks...he´s harmed them more than any other president we´ve ever had in this nation. Look at what he has done.....not what he says.

I’ve excerpted the three paras below to focus on our failures to prioritize and our inability to embrace the leadership who can pull us out of our death spiral.

“There is a direct correlation between the US elite’s preoccupation with social issues running the…gamut from gay marriage to transgender bathrooms to a phony war against women, and America’s inability to recognize the growing threats to the global order or understand why Americans should care about the world at all.”

“And there is a similarly direct correlation between the growing aggression of US foes and Obama’s decision to slash defense spending while allowing the US nuclear arsenal to become all but obsolete.”

“Leaders like Sen. Ted Cruz who call for a US foreign policy based on standing by allies and opposing foes in order to ensure US leadership and US national security are being drowned out in a chorus of ‘Who cares?’”

There are any number of countries, organizations and people who would love to subjugate and own the USA. Obama is making it easy for them to do this.

Recommend this long piece for MUST READ status.

What has happened to the US since BHO was elected the first time is unmitigated disaster and would never have happened under George W. Bush.

Obama has deliberately weakened this country and is sending people to psychiatrists all over this country, trying to deal with their anger and mourning over the demise of the US.

On the surface, business seems as usual, but behind the curtain, a systematic, quiet destruction is going on. One day soon, unless liberalism is halted quickly, we will be looking at our landscape and seeing the wreckage of Ozymandias:

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!´
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".

IMO...
I read a story today about a woman who shot her husband, then killed herself. In the comments section was a man that just said, "guns are bad". Very telling about America today.
Guns are not bad, neither are drugs, alcohol, cars, knives, etc.; people are bad. But our culture refuses to deal with that truth, that problem, because the finger points to ´self´. There are bad people in this world and our culture is generating more of them. The media is helping create them and liberal politicians are pandering to them for votes. We are punishing the good and rewarding (and excusing) the bad. And after years of that practice, we are much weaker as a nation.
Instead of facing the truth and putting blame where it belongs, sin, we attack those who try. We make excuses for bad actions and destructive lifestyles because we refuse to admit we are the problem. Instead we blame everything and everyone else when thing go bad. Marketing is there to sell you something that will help you cope and a liberal politician is there to provide an excuse and a handout. America has lost its way, its faith in God and placed it in other men/women; and man is not worthy of that faith.
America is collapsing from within and it shows in the opinions other nations have of us. We are divided, weakened, and have put liars into office who are telling us (lying to us) what we want to hear; "it´s not your fault"! It is our fault and we need some REAL MORAL GUIDANCE... GOD.

The reason you hear nothing is because the US no longer has a two party system. In effect it´s been overthrown. As in any dictatorship, the people have no voice. The GOP merged with democrats during Bush. In Nov. 2010 we rescued the country and gave it back to the GOP but they didn´t want anything we gave them, laughed in our face, and tried to get rid of most of the people we gave them. They joined with the media scorning us and calling us racist. Andrew Breitbart pretty much gave his life in this fight. The stifling, global warming, UN loving Bush crowd who handed us to the radical left still controls what should be America´s second political party. As Codevilla has said, as long as the UniParty exists ordinary voters can have no effect.

We have no core American values, particularly guiding foreign policy. The ol´ Reds are either gone, or our primary trading partners and creditors. In Iraq and Afghanistan we act like the dog that caught the car bumper, spending thousands of lives and over a trillion dollars. To what end? If the Euros can cut their puny defenses to meet paltry sums invested, the USA has come to the conclusion it can, too. And now that we´re $17 trillion in the hole, with what are you going to buy military strength? We´re broke.

Why Does Obama Want

As his policies, foreign and domestic, are collapsing on pretty much every front, President Obama has increasingly sought refuge in talk about global warming. He wants the U.S. to reduce its emissions of carbon dioxide, and the EPA has done its best to bring this about via increasingly stringent regulations on coal-fired power plants. The Democrats wanted to enact cap-and-trade, but couldn’t get it through Congress, so Obama is doing the best he can through administrative action. Simultaneously, the administration has poured billions of dollars into specious “green” energy projects, many of which can’t be kept alive even with lavish

This past April, with the help of a knowledgeable reader, we took a deep dive into the fossil fuel investments of Democratic money man and environmental poseur Tom Steyer in “The epic hypocrisy of Tom Steyer.” Introducing our reader’s report, John wrote regarding Steyer: “Today, he is a bitter opponent of fossil fuels, especially coal. That fits with his current economic interests: banning coal-fired power plants will boost the value of his solar projects. But it was not always thus. In fact, Steyer owes his fortune in large part to the fact that he has been one of the world’s

The Wall Street Journal editorial page predictably bemoans the collapse of immigration reform and, equally predictably, insinuates that Democrats conspired to help kill it in order to benefit politically. (Favoring cooperation with President Obama on anything requires conservatives to argue that the president secretly hopes the measure will fail.) But the real news comes in the seventh paragraph, when the Journal reports that House Republicans were actually poised to pass a bill before Eric Cantor´s loss freaked them out: ... a majority of GOP Members wanted an immigration reform to pass as long as they didn´t have to vote for

Every major strand of American conservatism includes a strong libertarian streak, because the value of liberty is fundamental to just about all conservative thought. But today, especially, is said to be the libertarians’ moment. What once was a fringe movement, politically speaking, has moved front and center in our political life. And yet, in my view, libertarians of both the capital L and small l varieties punch below their weight. They have not contributed as much as they should to the conservative movement. This is partly because libertarians tend to founder on foreign policy, where many are merely modern-day isolationists. But

Last week when I commented on the downward revision of the already weak First Quarter GDP numbers, several commenters wrote in to ask: what is keeping the stock market so high? Great question, with the best answer being ZIRP, the Federal Reserve’s “zero interest rate policy,” now matched by many other central banks (with some actually now employing negative interest rates). (snip) It has always been true, however, that times of loose money tend to send stock prices higher than intrinsic valuation might warrant, as the money has nowhere else to go to get plausible returns.

The Israeli government has confirmed reports initially surfacing at the Associated Press and the New York Times that the bodies of three Israeli teenagers reported missing earlier this month have been found. The Israeli cabinet is conducting an emergency meeting on the matter. Officials are confident that they have found the bodies of Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Shaar, and Eyal Yifrach, who went missing in the West Bank earlier this month. Frenkel, a U.S. Citizen, and Shaar were 16 years old; Yifrach was 19. “They know it’s the three, they will know for sure after they do the autopsy," said an Israeli official to the newspaper on the condition of anonymity. He noted that the children appear to have been killed close to the time of kidnapping and had gunshot wounds. Israel's Haaretz newspaper added that the Israeli government was officially conducting a media blackout until all the details were confirmed.

New York Times reporter James Risen has excellent sources in the intelligence community. If you are a disgruntled intelligence officer or official and want to undermine a program or aid enemies of the United States, Risen is the go-to guy. Risen’s accomplishments in this area have been overshadowed by the emergence of Edward Snowden, but Risen should not be forgotten. We know of two valuable national security programs that Risen (writing with his colleague Eric Lichtblau) and the Times destroyed by their disclosure of them. One involved the NSA’s ability to intercept al-Qaeda related communications of terrorists operating abroad.
