Those ‘rogue’ agents
New York Post, by Editorial

Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations

It is just horrifying that they could have gotten away with blaming the people in Cincinnati for all that we know now. Would love to see some real interviews with the IRS agents there.

They were rogue agents alright. A rogue Democrat Party and a rogue Executive Branch with roots into every rogue department with a three letter acronym. They´re all in on it and he with the Joker´s grin is in charge.

And they say we´re the ones who are guilty of voter intimidation. Give me a break.

Should US Govt employees be permitted to unionize? It appears that the political relationship with the Democrat party has tainted IRS employees´ ability to perform their job duties. Their management team admits this when they toss the Cincy office workers under the bus.

#3 is right the IRS along with most Federal agencies are staffed and run by Democrats. The only way to stop the IRS from being used a political instrument to punish Democrat enemies is to abolish it. No reform of the IRS will work in the long run. It´s time for a fair or flat tax or a national sales tax and just eliminate the IRS altogether. If that can´t be done then take away their guns, their tax court where you are guilty until you prove you´re are innocent and they decide that, take away their power to seize property. Turn them into Postal employees where they just process tax returns like the Post office handles mail.

I´m hoping that was sarcasm #3. There already is a federal employees union. I don´t know how far it reaches in the government. That said, if you think government is bloated and too expensive now, believe me it would be a whole lot worse if all employees were unionized.

Of all the traitorous lying filth that has come out of this Administration, and there has been plenty, this enrages me the most. No longer content to demonize, belittle, and victimize conservatives with the help of network news employees (I refuse to call them the media), they are now blatantly using the DOJ to intimidate, threaten and harass the American people who dare to stand up and stop them. And they need to be stopped.

The admin is not just using the IRS and the DOJ to punish their enemies. They are also using the EPA, the FBI, OSHA, Dept of Labor, etc. This needs to be brought to a halt now.

I can´t help but think, how did this happen in this great country. Then I look at the liars, cheats, frauds, in congress driven by power and greed and it all makes perfect sense. There is very little integrity in politics. Democrats have been working behind the scenes to make sure that their people have positions of power and are situated where they can do the most good for them. It is how the game is played. Ethics and integrity have given way to party loyalty and power.

I believe John Adams had it right when he said: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Notice he did not say religious only. He also included moral people who may not be religious. When we decided in the 1960´s to begin to kick God out of the public square and have been bent on finishing the job, the country has devolved into humanism. The farther we have gone down that road, the worst it has gotten. Since Obama´s election in 2008, we are hurdling down the road to ruin at warp speed. II Chronicles 7:14 is the cure for what ails this country.

Every mention of rogue agents in Cincinnati leaves the impression that the Cincinnati office is just some storefront satellite branch of the IRS when in fact it´s the service center that everything related to nonprofits goes through.

Carping about the corrupt Democrats in the IRS on these conservative echo chamber blogs accomplishes nothing and only serves to raise the incidence of stroke fatalities among the readership. So what courses of action are available? Coconspirator Holder won´t pursue criminal charges. That´s a given. It was absurd to send them to him. Apparently, Issa and the Speaker do not have the courage of their convictions. There seems to be no appetite among the Republican Congressional leaders to use their own inherent and Constitutional authorities to pursue Lerner and enforce their contempt findings. They seem satisfied to allow Obama to threat them with the same disdain that Putin treats Obama. I´m surprised that none of the victims of the IRS criminal activity has filed a Bivens Action. Bivens referrers to a civil cause of action against Federal agents for flagrant abuse, violating a citizen´s Federal statutory or Constitutional rights. It is the mirror of 42 USC 1983. As a retired Federal prosecutor, I can tell you that nothing will focus the IRS employees who participated in the conspiracy like being a defendant in a Bivens suit. Since, Holder won´t do anything, and Boehner and Issa can´t find the courage, this is the only way.

I hope these people hang! Slowly temperatures will rise as more and more people wake up to the fraud in the White House. Five long years of this garbage and now we are seeing just how the deck was stacked against us. Most people are good losers when they think it was fair & square but few are pleased when they realize they were fleeced and the game was rigged. Think of the old western movies when the card sharp got caught dealing from the bottom of the deck or 5 aces showed up! It wasn´t pretty.

Warning to all supervisors. Never throw the "little people" who work for you under the bus like Lois has done. They have ways of getting even you never thought about!

We have learned that some, if not all, executive branch agencies have no accountability and do as they wish. IRS, DOJ, FEC are run by their employees, not by political appointees. The president cannot control them, the Congress has no authority over them, and no citizen has standing to sue them. Perhaps it is time for term limits on the top five or ten levels of management within the agencies.

So many government scandals. Our government is extremely corrupt, and neither party will do anything to clean it up. There is nothing ´rogue´ about it. It is all a system to protect the way things are done in Washington. Washington is addicted to other people´s money, and like any addict, won´t stop what they are doing on their own. It is up to the voter to conduct an ´intervention´ on election day.

I agree with #20. I would like for #15 to suggest a course of action that really would get action with a Bivens Action? Also, who has standing to file a Bivens Action and where or with whom would a plaintiff file? Hopefully, this could get some good results for We the People, because right now I feel that the deck is stacked against us. Unless we can get some help from at least five Supreme Court Justices and soon, the DOJ (which is a joke right now) has no intention of serving the people who believe in the Constitution.

Facing a torrent of state laws restricting access to safe and legal abortions, supporters of a woman’s right to make her own childbearing decisions have been forced to play a defensive game — trying to block enactment of the laws, and, when that doesn’t work, challenging them in court. An important hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday could begin to move the dynamics of the fight in a positive direction. The subject of the hearing is the Women’s Health Protection Act, a vital measure that would safeguard the reproductive rights of women all across the nation, regardless of where

A restless President Barack Obama has ventured out on an array of field trips, stopping at local hotspots when he travels and ambling around Washington, D.C. He’s dined on burgers, pizza, barbecue, ice cream and a Chipotle burrito bowl on recent outings. And last week, he shot pool and drank beer during a stop in Denver. White House officials say the forays into Americans’ everyday lives help re-energize the president and connect him with average folks. But with Mr. Obama’s legislative proposals stalled and his approval ratings sagging, the excursions also are aimed at reanimating the president’s agenda and providing

Does President Obama want to solve the border crisis? It depends on what the meaning of "solve" is. The president says a majority of the tens of thousands of families and unaccompanied children flooding across the southwestern border will be returned to their home countries. But his actions suggest that won´t really happen. Most of Obama´s $3.7 billion border crisis spending request will go to the "care, feeding, and transportation costs of unaccompanied children and family groups," according to a statement to Congress by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson. That´s great news for almond-lovers, but not-so-great news for California, which produces 80 percent of the world´s almonds. Attorney General Eric Holder said Sunday he and President Obama have been targets of “a racial animus” by some of the administration’s political opponents. “There´s a certain level of vehemence, it seems to me, that´s directed at me [and] directed at the president,” Holder told ABC. “You know, people talking about taking their country back. … There´s a certain racial component to this for some people. In reality, though, that red line exists along a spectrum of “political will.” As Andrew McCarthy explained: “You can have a thousand provable impeachable offenses, but before Congress may remove the president from power, there must be strong popular support – a public will that cuts across partisan and ideological lines.”
