9/11 Victim Families: Obama
Administration Sabotaging Trials

GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE—Victims of the 9/11 terror attacks expressed shock that the FBI may be meddling in the hearings here, and some speculated that it is part of an effort by the Obama administration to completely derail the hearings and force them into federal court stateside. Families of those killed in the 9/11 terror attacks traveled here with the intent of watching their family members’ accused killers face justice. However, many say they were horrified earlier this week when pre-trial hearings came to a halt over revelations that the FBI had launched an investigation into the accused terrorist’s defense

Of course he´s sabotaging the trials. He´s a Muslim and he´s protecting his compatriots.
Why do you think he hasn´t prosecuted the Fort Hood doctor who killed many there?

Don´t be too stunned that before Barry leaves office that he pardons all the jihadists and moves them into the U.S. to continue their jihad on the rest of us.

WASHINGTON- The parents of U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl said on Saturday they were ecstatic after being informed by President Barack Obama that their son had been freed after almost five years as a prisoner of the Taliban. "We were so joyful and relieved when President Obama called us today to give us the news that Bowe is finally coming home!" Bob and Jami Bergdahl said in a statement released through the Idaho National Guard. "We cannot wait to wrap our arms around our only son." A senior U.S. defense official said the Bergdahls, of Hailey, Idaho, happened to be

NEW YORK— Every night at dinner when I was young, my dad fought World War II all over again. He´d parachuted into Normandy with the 101st Airborne on D-Day, went on to fight in Holland and Belgium, and he loved to tell war stories. But as a kid, I didn´t care. I grew up in the 1960s and ´70s, when anti-war sentiment about Vietnam was strong. It wasn´t cool having a dad whose biggest accomplishment was being a soldier. It was only as an adult that I wished I´d paid more attention to those dinnertime tales. Fortunately, I have some

According to Richard Engel, NBC’s chief foreign correspondent, you would be “hard-pressed to find” one country with which the U.S. has improved its relations since President Obama took office. By contrast, you can easily find countries where Obama has made our relations worse. Abe Greenwald finds plenty of such countries in just one region — the Middle East. Indeed, his article in the May edition of Commentary is called “He’s Made It Worse: Obama’s Middle East.” Greenwald starts with Egypt, where it has been all downhill since Obama’s famous Cairo speech. In that speech, Obama staked out a reasonable position:

Washington - America´s only prisoner of war has been freed in Afghanistan after the US agreed to release five Taliban fighters held at Guantánamo Bay. President Barack Obama announced that Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl had been released nearly five years after he was captured near the Pakistani border. His freedom was secured after months of secret negotiations between the US and the Taliban in talks brokered by the Gulf state of Qatar. The 28-year-old was handed over to US special forces in eastern Afghanistan and is said to be in good condition despite his years in captivity. It was not immediately clear if

The Obama administration confirmed Friday that a U.S. citizen took part in a suicide bombing in Syria, the first time that an American is believed to have done so in the three-year conflict there. The American was identified as Moner Mohammad Abusalha, 22, of South Florida and of Middle Eastern descent. U.S. officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss details of the investigation, said that Abusalha appears to have traveled to Syria more than once and that law enforcement had been aware of his trips to the region before he killed himself. Warnings have been sounded for more than a decade that veterans were dying because of long waits for health care that were covered up by bogus record- keeping at Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals. They came in nearly two dozen reports from the agency’s inspector general and the Government Accountability Office. They came from congressional investigations and a constant barrage of reports from the Washington Examiner and other media. They came in transition briefings when the Obama team moved into the White House in 2009. They even came in a memorandum sent by a top VA official in 2010 to

It´s one of the more disturbing revelations to arise from an investigation into fatal delays in care at Veterans Affairs medical centers: Employee bonuses appear to be one factor behind the manipulation of patient wait times in at least one hospital. Two reports released this week -- one by the VA´s inspector general and another by the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs -- indicate in some cases wait times were manipulated to meet employee performance goals needed for bonuses. The news has raised questions about just how widespread the practice was and who received the financial incentives. Answers

Todd led off pointing out the similarities between the president’s response to the VA waiting lists scandal and to previous scandals. “The president in explaining the problems of the VA seemed to sound a familiar theme that he did during the HHS situation, that he did during the GAO issue, which he did during the IRS, which is that its

Charlie Rose of PBS (and CBS News) enjoys an elevated reputation among a wide swath of the educated public, and not just limited to the left leaning portion of that demographic slice. But an hour-long interview he conducted Thursday night with National Security Adviser Susan Rice on PBS should damage that reputation. Somehow or other, he managed to completely avoid the subject of the attack on the Benghazi diplomatic facility on 9/11/2012, and Ms. Rice’s role a disinformation officer spreadfing the outright lie that the attack was sparked by an obscure video that no one in Libya had even heard

Not the pattern she is trying to break: Iowa has never elected a woman to Congress. And certainly not the choice of party leaders who have endorsed her, such as Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney, who represent two very different wings of the Republican Party. Mr. Romney’s record in Iowa is less than stellar. He lost the Republican presidential caucuses in 2008, then appeared to win in 2012, only to

Black Beach Week used to get all the glory: Every Memorial Day weekend, 300,000 black people gathered in Miami Beach to get their freak on. And also create a tsunami of violence, robbery, shootings, carjackings, vandalism, mayhem, noise and trash. But this year, many party-goers complained that Black Beach Week -- only reporters call it “Urban Beach Week” -- just wasn’t as much fun any more: Too many cops, tactical vehicles, helicopters, lights, towers, cameras, suspicion. Not enough chaos. Not to worry: The rest of the country picked up the slack. Black mob violence over the holiday weekend was reported in more

DENVER— Colorado´s Civil Rights Commission on Friday ordered a baker to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples, finding his religious objections to the practice did not trump the state´s anti-discrimination statutes. The unanimous ruling from the seven-member commission upheld an administrative law judge´s finding in December that Jack Phillips violated civil rights law when he refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple in 2012. The couple sued. "I can believe anything I want, but if I´m going to do business here, I´d ought to not discriminate against people," Commissioner Raju Jaram said. Phillips, a devout Christian who

Day 1,956 of his presidency was not too kind to President Obama. Having to announce within a four-hour span that he had lost both an embattled Cabinet secretary and his chief spokesman, Obama looked Friday like a man gamely trying to get a stalled administration back on track. He entered the week still stuck with low approval ratings and facing fierce criticism of his policies both at home and abroad. On Wednesday, he tried to chart a new course internationally with a West Point speech setting out a new foreign policy. On Thursday, he dealt with widespread criticism of the speech.
