Cults In Our Midst: Patty Hearst
And The Brainwashing Of America

The Federalist, by Stella Morabito

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 4/16/2014 5:39:12 AM

Exactly forty years ago Patricia Hearst stunned the nation when she turned up as a bank robber, a mere two months after she was kidnapped by the violent cult that called itself “The Symbionese Liberation Army.” Her astonishing transformation was documented by bank cameras on April 15, 1974. There she was — granddaughter of William Randolph “Citizen Kane” Hearst — wielding a sawed-off assault rifle and terrorizing people in a bank. She had recently announced in a taped SLA communique that she had voluntarily joined the SLA in its fight against the “fascist” United States. She took the nom de

Why is it so hard to have an open and honest public debate about liberty and limited government ?

Because the conditions of your life and the terms of your citizenship are no longer any of your damn business.

These issues are being handled by others who know better than you.

How dare you even be so rude as to have an opinion ?

You know, everyone hates people like you.

Even if you had liberty you´d only do something dangerous with it.

Rick Perry grabs the
mic on border crisis
Politico, by Katie Glueck    Original Article

Rick Perry two-stepped his way back into the national spotlight this week, using the crisis at the border to skewer President Barack Obama while pumping up his own conservative bona fides. The Republican Texas governor, who’s mulling over a 2016 presidential bid, has appeared on national TV to trash the White House’s response to the unusual influx of children at the border. He also seized headlines when he declined to simply greet Obama at the airport during a presidential visit this week, and instead pushed for a face-to-face meeting.

Hillary Clinton is past her time

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim. Between

The chart above displays the changes in payroll employment since December 2007 (the start of the Great Recession and when employment levels nationally and in most states peaked) through May of this year in the states of Texas and California. Here are some observations: 1. By May of 2011, Texas had regained all of the jobs lost during the Great Recession. In contrast, it took California three years longer, until April of this year, to regain the state jobs lost due to the effects of the recession. Since the Lone Star State regained all of the lost recession-related payroll jobs

The Environmental Protection Agency has quietly floated a rule claiming authority to bypass the courts and unilaterally garnish paychecks of those accused of violating its rules, a power currently used by agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service. The EPA has been flexing its regulatory muscle under President Obama, collecting more fines each year and hitting individuals with costly penalties for violating environmental rules, including recently slapping a $75,000 fine on Wyoming homeowner Andy Johnson for building a pond on his rural property. “The EPA has a history of overreaching its authority. Elvis Presley was first heard on radio 60 years ago on July 8, 1954. Presley sold over one billion record units worldwide — making him the best-selling solo artist in record industry history. Known for his moves that earned him the nickname “Elvis the Pelvis” and that were considered scandalous at the time (but are tame by today’s standards), Presley was the undisputed king of “rock ’n’ roll” even though he never learned to read music and was told repeatedly in his youth that he couldn’t sing and would “never make it as a singer.” He made it in his

Hamas’ actions follow the murder of a 16-year-old Arab Israeli, who was killed by soccer thugs in an alleged act of retribution for the abduction and murder of three Jewish Israeli teenagers, whose bodies were found last Monday. Despite Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson vowing to "stem the tide" of unaccompanied illegal minors across the southern border with Mexico, thousands more are expected to enter the United States by the end of the year. With the system being overwhelmed, Border Patrol agents are concerned about minors who have admitted to being MS-13 members, a brutal street gang from El Salvador that has been successful in infiltrating American communities. Agents are also concerned about minors who have committed acts like torture and murder in their home countries before heading north to the United States. "We have six minors in Nogales

Starting next week, House Republicans will launch a highly visible—and likely tumultuous—three-week process of bringing to the floor legislation to authorize their promised lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. "In theory, you could report out a resolution tomorrow and vote on it," said a House GOP aide on Tuesday. "But that is not the approach [the leaders] want to take." Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

As Americans celebrated this nation´s birthday on July 4, most were likely unaware of a less uplifting commemoration that fell on the calendar during the same holiday weekend. That was Cost of Government Day, or July 6, 2014. The date´s significance is one of political math and symbolism. By the time 2014 ends, local, state and federal governments will have consumed the equivalent of every dime of national production created between New Year´s Day and July 6. The money goes to government spending and regulatory compliance. Americans have only from Monday until year´s end to produce anything for themselves. The concept

Sarah Palin on Tuesday joined a growing chorus of Republicans calling for the impeachment of President Obama, writing in a Breitbart op-ed that the influx of young illegal immigrants over the southern border "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´no mas.´ " Mixed/careless metaphors aside, this is nothing but bad news for Republicans — especially four months until the 2014 election. Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, “no mas.” Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Discrediting the price paid for America’s exceptionalism over our history, he’s given false hope and taxpayer’s change to millions of foreign nationals who want to sneak into our country illegally. WASHINGTON — Congressional Democrats said Tuesday that they had developed legislation to override the Supreme Court decision on contraceptives. The bill would ensure that women have access to coverage for birth control even if they work for businesses that have religious objections. The bill, developed in consultation with the Obama administration, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive services, under the Affordable Care Act. The measure could be on the Senate floor as early as next week, Senate Democrats said. “Your health care decisions are not your boss’s

President Obama evidently has decided not to put a human face on the crisis unfolding at the U.S. southern border—not even his own. The White House said over and over again Monday that Obama will not travel to the border with Mexico despite flying to Texas this week to raise money for Democratic candidates there. It´s certainly in part a political decision, one meant to avoid taking ownership of a difficult issue on which the White House would prefer to share blame.
