Anybody see anything strange about enchiladas going to Alaska ?

Lot of emphasis in the photos on the tomato sauce looking like blood.

funny, this is my closest airport with current commercial service (that I´ve only visited for rental car changes) - has prominent signage regarding restrictions transporting local herbal product but otherwise is a "two flight a day airport" - amazing that they found it!

Of course, this incident will be added to the long list of terror attacks that the DHS/TSA has thwarted as a result of being able to monitor your every phone call and email.

That´s a big enchilada. Sounds more like a burrito. The mere size of it should have been a clue.

LONDON -- Artist Tracey Emin has sold her bed - and the disheveled sheets, empty vodka bottles, cigarette butts and discarded condoms were part of the lucrative deal. Emin´s artwork "My Bed" sold for 2.54 million pounds ($4.4 million) at a London auction Tuesday, more than double the pre-sale estimate and four times the previous record for the artist. Emin, who has mined her tumultuous personal life for some of her best-known works, attended the auction and grinned when the hammer came down. The work was sold by collector Charles Saatchi, an early supporter of Emin and other modern British artists.

CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. – This weekend´s Catfish Derby reeled in record attendance and showcased the big fish in Clear Lake´s waters. The Clearlake Oaks-Glenhaven Business Association´s derby, which has been taking place for more than 30 years, is billed as the largest catfish tournament west of the Mississippi. “We had another record turnout this year, with 741 adults and 117 kids entered,” said Dennis Locke, one of the dedicated volunteers who run the derby each year. TIMBER COVE - One could hardly blame Ray Frost for breaking down when he was reunited with his dog, Mike, a few days ago. Frost and most of his family had given up hope of seeing their beloved shepherd mix ever again after he disappeared seven weeks ago. So when two fishermen at the bottom of a cliff stumbled upon an emaciated dog Thursday night with just enough energy left to nab one of their fish, it was as if a miracle had befallen Frost, his wife and their three grieving daughters.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) reported in its General Social Survey (GSS) that unprecedented numbers of Americans are lonely. Published in the American Sociological Review (ASR) and authored by Miller McPhearson, Lynn Smith-Lovin, and Matthew Brashears, sociologists at Duke and the University of Arizona, the study featured 1,500 face-to-face interviews where more than a quarter of the respondents — one in four — said that they have no one with whom they can talk about their personal troubles or triumphs.

Christa Liedtke, 75, decided to sell the half-timbered house near Cologne three years ago, after she began to find the steep stairs too much to handle. She fell in love with the house in 2005 and poured thousands of euros into renovating it. "As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the one," she said. “In 2011 I wanted to sell it, with a heavy heart, and that’s when this all started.” Local authority officials told her she had to pull it down because there was no planning permission to build the house in the first place.

A jury ruled Sonoma County Supervisor Efren Carrillo was not guilty of attempting to peek into a neighbor´s home. The decision came shortly after the panel could not reach a unanimous verdict on whether Carrillo actually looked into her apartment. Judge Gary Medvigy then ruled the jury could consider the lesser charge of attempted peeking without deciding the more serious charge of peeking. Defense attorney Chris Andrian objected to the decision, arguing the original count should be dismissed before the jury could consider any new charges. After the verdict, Carrillo said he would "like to move on and put this behind

The Obamas have spent over 44 million dollars in taxpayer money on travel and vacations. Some are even calling him the “most well-trvaeled, expensive” president in our nation’s history. As Americans head off for the long holiday weekend, let’s take a look back at some of the president’s holiday spending. Our president vacations a lot — we’re talking $44,351,777.12 worth of “a lot,” with most expenses charged to the American taxpayer. As of March 2014, Obama has spent more time traveling internationally than any other president, taking 31 trips since assuming office in 2009. The 119 days spent overseas have

A Fourth of July parade float in Nebraska that showed a dummy standing outside an outhouse labeled "Obama Presidential Library" is drawing cries of racism from local residents and the Nebraska Democratic Party. The float, in the annual Independence Day parade in Norfolk, Neb., was affixed to trailer being towed behind a blue pickup truck. The dummy was clad in overalls, standing by a walker next to the outhouse. President Obama has quietly promised Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren complete support if she runs for president — a stinging rebuke to his nemesis Hillary Clinton, sources tell me. Publicly, Obama has remained noncommittal on the 2016 race, but privately he worries that Clinton would undo and undermine many of his policies. There’s also a personal animosity, especially with Bill Clinton, that dates from their tough race six years ago. A former Harvard law professor and administration aide, Warren would energize the left wing of the Democrat Party just as Obama did against Clinton in 2008. Thanks to her outspoken stand against big banks

When the German botanist Philipp von Siebold sent a variety of plant specimens to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew in August 1850, he had no idea what he was unleashing on the world. Among the various floral and tuberous growths he dispatched was a plant which, 164 years later, is leaving a trail of mayhem all across the planet. It goes by the name of Japanese knotweed, or Fallopia japonica. It presents a pleasing appearance to the eye: heart-shaped leaves, bamboo stems and pretty, little white-flower tassels. What is less obvious is this plant’s relentless killer instinct. Look through the

The vast majority of 50,000 unaccompanied youths and children who have illegally crossed the Texas border during the last few months have been successfully delivered by federal agencies to their relatives living in the United States, according to a New York Times article. Would you buy a bargain-priced airline ticket, but the catch was you had to stand for the entire flight? A new university study says the idea of standing-only sections on planes is no joke. An airline that removes seats can fit about 20% more passengers and, as a result, offer discounts of as much as 44% compared with airlines that offer big comfy seats, according to the study published in the International Journal of Engineering and Technology. Airlines in Ireland and China have looked into the concept, but none have yet put the idea into practice. Major carriers in the

Polar bears and Emperor penguins aren´t the only species under threat due to climate change. Gingers could become extinct as a result of increasingly sunny skies, experts have warned. Scientists believe the gene that causes red hair is an evolutionary response to cloudy skies and allows inhabitants to get as much Vitamin D as possible. But if predictions of rising temperatures and blazing sunshine across the British Isles turn out to be correct, flaming red heads could cease to exist within centuries. While only 1% to 2% of the world’s population are ginger, in the north of the UK, where the weather tends to
