A person is in custody tonight after police report suspicious bags were found at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Boylston Street. An eye-witness told the Herald tonight a man dressed all in black and wearing a black veil walked down the middle of Boylston Street, with a backpack on his back, chanting "Boston strong, Boston strong." "He was weird looking," said Matthew VanWinkle. "He was wearing a black veil, a black hat, and no shoes." The bomb squad is now on the scene and police have pushed everyone back. A bomb squad member yelled "fire in the hole" as they

And now, the Muslim thugs have us flinching at laundry bags. By any standard, they have accomplished their mission...we are so afraid of everything now, we can´t conduct our lives in peace.

If we had done our jobs right in defending our nation, there would not be one single living Muslim who was not afraid every day...But,not us!

One day is coming when this situation will be rectified.

Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren alliance

Bostoon Herald, by Kimberly Atkins    Original Article

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, whose stumping for the “hammered” middle class has won fanatical progressive support, clearly has ambitions far beyond Congress’ upper chamber, her demurring about a 2016 presidential bid notwithstanding. She now has a perfect opportunity to boost her profile and expand her own fan base beyond her party’s left wing. All she has to do is get on board the Hillary train. Because odd as it may seem, Hillary Clinton needs Liz Warren. And Liz Warren needs Hillary Clinton. Just days into her unofficial first campaign blitz — thinly disguised as a book tour — Hillary’s ham-handed attempts

Fast-tracked DeLeo gun control bill

Boston Herald, by Gintautas Dumcius,*    Original Article

House Speaker Robert DeLeo’s new proposal to reduce gun violence has barely emerged with a favorable report from a legislative committee, foreshadowing a potentially turbulent reception in the full House and Senate. (SNIP) The bill (H 4121) has been on the fast track since DeLeo filed it on May 27. The close vote follows a lengthy committee hearing last Tuesday, when supporters said the bill will curb gun violence and opponents countered that the bill unfairly imposes hardships on legal gun owners, while not focusing enough on illegal gun owners. The bill, created with the aid of a task force

Neighbors of a man accused of misleading investigators after the Marathon bombings described a surreal scene this morning at his Quincy apartment — with FBI agents surrounding the building with their guns drawn before hauling off Khairullozhon Matanov in handcuffs. Leslie Aiello, 49, said she was on her couch about 5:30 a.m. when she heard, “We have a warrant out for your arrest,” followed by three loud bangs — what she believes was FBI agents using a battering ram at Matanov’s first-floor apartment where he lived on Common Street for about a year. The Benghazi investigation could shred the last threads of Secretary of State John Kerry’s credibility. After nonstop major foreign policy blunders with Israeli/Palestinian negotiations, Syria, Ukraine and Iran — just to name a few — his alleged collusion in the withholding of smoking-gun emails tying the White House to the Benghazi ?cover-up could be the final nail in his political coffin. It took a lawsuit by the nonprofit Judicial Watch to extract those key emails showing the White House purposely misled the American people about the terrorist attacks just weeks before the 2012 election. In a report issued this week, a military panel says the United States is making a big mistake in failing to join with other nations in the United Nations Convention of the Law of the Seas, losing out on opportunities to manage the Arctic and negotiate future disputes. The report, by CNA Corp.´s Military Advisory Board, examines effects of worldwide climate change on national security. It warns that climate-related problems, like droughts and food shortages, are already exacerbating regional and international conflicts. Grade-school math. As schools around the U.S. implement national Common Core learning standards, parents trying to help their kids with math homework say that adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing has become as complicated as calculus. They´re stumped by unfamiliar terms like "rectangular array" and "area model." They wrestle with division that requires the use of squares, slashes and dots. They rage over impenetrable word problems.

The total cost to implement Obamacare in Massachusetts surpassed a half-billion dollars yesterday, as the Health Connector board agreed to seek an additional $121 million in federal funds to try to rescue the money-hemorrhaging health exchange. “This is now Massachusetts’ Big Dig I.T. project,” said Joshua Archambault, a health care expert at the Pioneer Institute. “The decision was completely irresponsible to taxpayers, with very little uncertainty we’re going to get the end result that we want.” The board approved a two-track plan yesterday — invoking an emergency provision to sidestep state procurement laws — to award a no-bid contract to

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say. In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

A crowd of 300 angry protestors forced three buses carrying 140 undocumented migrant children and their parents to turn around in Murrieta, California, on Tuesday after they blocked the road. This past week, Fox News, Megyn Kelly, and Dinesh D’Souza gave a platform to an entity that hates America and our way of life. Seems the prospect of smokin’ out a snake like Bill Ayers was too good to pass up. Getting an exclusive one-on-one with a crazy, violent communist with a small c was quite a coup for Kelly and D’Souza...or was it? Since lying and deceit generally benefit the liar, we have to ask, ”What was in it for Bill Ayers?” A mea culpa for past crimes? Hardly. After listening to Ayers, we must conclude: once a psychopath, always a psychopath.

President Obama’s displeasure with gridlock in Washington — and with the Republicans he blames for it — has been rising for months. This week it has boiled over. From the Rose Garden to the Cabinet Room to near the Key Bridge in Georgetown, the president has signaled more than mere annoyance at the state of affairs at the halfway point of this year. His disdain for congressional Republicans has steadily increased; his disrespect for their tactics has hardened into contempt. Higher education is no longer just for kids in the top quarter or the top half of the class. College is for everyone," First lady Michelle Obama told a gathering of school counselors in Florida on Tuesday. "Every student in this country needs some higher education, whether that´s two-year degree, a four-year degree, or professional training of some sort." Mrs. Obama went to the annual meeting of the American School Counselor Association in Florida to thank counselors for taking on a demanding job without the resources necessary to meet the challenges. They, in turn, made her an honorary school counselor.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said he had not spoken to President Obama about protests in California that blocked buses full of immigrant detainees from reaching a processing station. But Earnest said there was no expectation of changing strategies to deal with the flood of minors "at this point.” "At this point, what we´re focused on is making sure that we can ramp up the resources that are necessary to meet this growing need," Earnest said. Los Angeles teachers complain unsuspended violent kids are intimidating them and effectively ruling their classrooms. In 2011, the Education Department accused the Los Angeles Unified School District of discriminating against black boys, who were suspended for bad behavior at a disproportionate rate. The agency ordered it to reduce suspensions in the hopes that unruly minority students would stay in school and graduate.
