Regulation Nation: Breweries fight back
against new government grain rules

Fox News, by Garrett Tenney

Original Article

Posted By:Judy W., 4/15/2014 8:31:39 PM

A fight is brewing between American beer makers and the federal government over happy hour ... for cows. For centuries, brewers have given or sold the leftover grain from the brewing process to local ranchers and dairy farmers for cattle feed. But new regulations proposed by the Food and Drug Administration threaten to end that relationship. "The whole brewing community was shocked about it," said Josh Deth, co-owner of Revolution Brewing in Chicago, Ill. Deth, whose title is "Chairman of the Party," says it´s always been a great deal for both sides. The ranchers get the grain, and the brewers get those leftovers

The Demonrat party is filled with tyrants who seek to "run out the clock" and force their regulations on every aspect of life in America. Their new moniker is tax, spend, and regulate. Therefore misery abounds under their leadership.

Well, welcome once again to the Øbamboozler´s new Communism of unnecessary over-reaching, over-bearing, job-killing, high-handed, autocratic regulation where us proletariats get to enjoy the ongoing looting of the Middle Class disguised as "government protection" while business is relentlessly hogtied by Leftist manics with their twisted thought-control tactics that collectively reasons none of us on their own are as dumb as all of us combined!

What cannot be passed into law by congress, is implemented by regulation through the bureaucracy. This needs to be stopped, and a future congress needs to review dang near every regulation put in place over the past decade. And rescind most of them! It says the stated purpose is to address the concerns of consumers. Really? So who among consumers were overly exercised about cows eating pre-soaked beer grains? What, exactly, were their concerns? How much "research" went to addressing those "concerns" before the FDA decided to make a law - which is not their job. And was making a law through proper congressional channels even tried before they took it upon themselves to do so? Fox News - we have questions! This is not a very complete report. Get back to work!

I visited distilleries in Scotland where this was practiced. They call the spent grain ´draff´ and it´s high in protein and great for the Angus breeds. More than that: It´s efficient. It avoids wasting a valuable feed.

How is it that in the name of science we would mandate wastefulness?

Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the

Ever since President George W. Bush said “Islam is peace” on Sept. 17, 2001, it has been politically shielded from any debate about its effects on its adherents or on the rest of the world. Muslim nations and pressure groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations have used political correctness as a weapon to punish anyone who dared to begin any debate on Islam by calling them “Islamophobes,” an accusation of racism. That era was ended by the lead editorial in the July 5 edition of The Economist, the prominent liberal British news magazine. Titled “The Tragedy of the Arabs,”

In an interview the other day, I was asked what the president might’ve been thinking when he instigated the chaos on our borders with his talk of pen-and-phone amnesty. Half a dozen things went through my mind. Maybe he’s trying some sort of Cloward-Piven maneuver: an attempt to overwhelm our welfare state to the point where we replace it with “a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty.” Or maybe he’s just trying to flood the population with Democrat voters. Or maybe he feels America stole its southland from Hispanic people anyway and it’s up to him to

Back in the heyday of the British Empire, a man from one of the colonies addressed a London audience. "Please do not do any more good in my country," he said. "We have suffered too much already from all the good that you have done." That is essentially the message of an outstanding new book by Jason Riley about blacks in America. Its title is "Please Stop Helping Us." Its theme is that many policies designed to help blacks are in fact harmful, sometimes devastatingly so. These counterproductive policies range from minimum wage laws to "affirmative action" quotas. This book untangles the controversies,

“New analyses of the human genome establish that human evolution has been recent, copious and regional,” writes Nicholas Wade in his recently published book A Troublesome Inheritance: Genes, Race and Human History. That sounds reasonable, and Wade, a science reporter and editor for many years at Nature and the New York Times, seems an unimpeachable source. But many well-meaning people will regard his words as provocative and even dangerous. For they fatally undermine the idea, widely shared by so-called progressives, that any apparent differences between groups of people are the product of nurture rather than nature, of social conditioning rather than

Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´." The Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, thinks that´s loco. (Technically, he said, "I disagree".)
