Since taking office in 2009, President Barack Obama has formally proposed a total of 442 tax increases, according to an Americans for Tax Reform analysis of Obama administration budgets for fiscal years 2010 through 2015. The 442 total proposed tax increases does not include the 20 tax increases Obama signed into law as part of Obamacare. "History tells us what Obama was able to do. This list reminds us of what Obama wanted to do," said Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform. The number of proposed tax increases per year is as follows: •79 tax increases for FY 2010 •52 tax increases for

In 2012 my effective tax rate was 29%, in 2013 it is 38%. I did not change marginal brackets so I hardly call that paying "just a little more".
I hate what this nation has become. Hate it.

And as so well understood by Reagan, Kennedy, Laffer and Ibn Khaldun in the 14th century, after reaching a maximum pint on he tax vs. revenue curve tax increases reduce revenue to government as the engine that produces wealth is throttled down and eventually crushed. I think it is all to obvious where we are on the curve.

On his Monday radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh presented his theory as to why then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton didn’t declare Boko Haram a terrorist group back in President Barack Obama’s first term, which he declared to be based on race. “How many people do you think know that this terror group, Boko Haram, has been attacking Christians since 2009?” he said. “The jihad aspect of Boko Haram is almost completely ignored by the White House and the media. And I can tell you why – I just saw why. There’s video that has been released of about half of

Democrats are thinking about using Internet balloting in 2016 to expand their voter base and select a president -- prompting Republicans to consider such a strategy to keep from losing ground. Iowa Democrats proposed the idea and several others during a recent Democratic National Committee meeting, saying Internet balloting could expand access to their unique caucus process to overseas military personnel, absentee voters and others. They have already conducted some interviews and are now embarked on a “listening tour” to get input from party activists, caucus experts and others, says Iowa Democratic Party spokeswoman Christina Freundlich. “We’re looking at different options,” she told

WASHINGTON – Mitt Romney on Friday urged the Republican Party to drop its opposition to raising the minimum wage, putting himself back in the middle of a vigorous debate over the direction of the party he led in 2012. “I part company with many of the conservatives in my party on the issue of the minimum wage. I think we ought to raise it,” Romney said Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “Because frankly, our party is all about more jobs and better pay. And I think communicating that is important.” “I also believe the key to our party is being able

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on Thursday morning said he supports an increase in the minimum wage, breaking with many Republicans who have stood against it. “I, for instance, as you know, part company with many of the conservatives in my party on the issue of the minimum wage. I think we ought to raise it,” the 2012 Republican presidential nominee said. “Because frankly, our party is all about more jobs and better pay.” Romney’s comments come after Senate Republicans rejected a vote on a Senate bill that would have increased the minimum wage to $10.10. A good rule of thumb with Hillary Clinton is this: If it comes out of her mouth, it’s insincere. You will never lose money taking that bet 100 times out of 100. And a good corollary to that rule is this: When she tells you what something is supposed to mean, that’s not what it means at all. Especially when she’s talking about the Bible. Pay attention: When a liberal who “rarely mentions his or her faith” suddenly shows up in a church quoting Scripture to you, it’s a pretty good bet that liberal is trying to pervert the Scripture in

U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl at one point during his captivity converted to Islam, fraternized openly with his captors and declared himself a "mujahid," or warrior for Islam, according to secret documents prepared on the basis of a purported eyewitness account and obtained by Fox News. The reports indicate that Bergdahl´s relations with his Haqqani captors morphed over time, from periods of hostility, where he was treated very much like a hostage, to periods where, as one source told Fox News, "he became much more of an accepted fellow" than is popularly understood. The Obama White House genuinely believed the release of the American soldier who disappeared in 2009 in Afghanistan would provide a triumphant moment for the president and a moment for national unity. Otherwise, there would have been no Rose Garden celebration featuring the president and Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s parents. Some in the White House surely saw the Rose Garden bit as a chance to play rope-a-dope with their political adversaries after weeks of getting beaten up over the Veterans Administration scandal. Hi, everybody. This is commencement season, a time for graduates and their families to celebrate one of the greatest achievements of a young person’s life. But for many graduates, it also means feeling trapped by a whole lot of student loan debt. And we’ve got to do more to lift that burden. See, in a 21st century economy, the surest pathway into the middle class is some form of higher education. The unemployment rate for workers with a bachelor’s degree is just 3.3 percent — about half what it is for high school graduates. The typical graduate of a four-year college earns $15,000 more per year than someone with just a high school degree.
