Asian American group tries

A group of Asian Americans is starting a grassroots effort to garner support for the Republican Party and its candidates, saying the GOP most closely aligns with their core values including family, education and entrepreneurship. The group, the Asian Republican Coalition, is co-founded by international investment banker John Ying, who during the 2012 presidential election cycle served on the Republican National Finance Committee. “We need a forum, and this first step will go a long way,” Ying told FoxNews.com earlier this week. He hopes the effort, which will include a May 6 kickoff event at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.,

It is sad that Asian Americans did not reject the racial spoils system they helped create in California earlier, before they figured they were being targeted along with white males.

I still welcome the effort of seeing them move to the defense of a color blind society.

Saying this it could really shake up the vote in BLUE State California.

I would hope that they would rather align with the "Tea Party" Republicans, than the Main stream Republicans. I think they are closer than they think to the Tea Party. Especially the younger people !!

This would be an excellent group for the GOP to engage. Democrats/liberals/progressives have never cared about this group in ernest, precisely because they ARE a self-sufficient group, with strong family ties. And, because of that--together with their higher (generally)intelligence--they are not an easily manipulated group. I once worked at a "minority" theatre; translated black theatre. The mission statement, however, advocated for material that spoke to all minorities. But, when we suggested plays that dealt with Asian or Native American themes, we were dismissed by the black elitist and guilty white liberal board with, "Oh, we don´t think there are enough of those people to worry about." That´s a verbatim quote.

As the demographics change and Anglo males become a ´minority´ (See: California), the definitions will change and new descriptors will be generated so that the ´fashionable´ groups will be favored at the continuing expense of the working tax payers.

Asians, as a reward for their excellence, have gotten skarood from every angle but they persist and overachieve much like our Jewish brethren.

Department of Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson expressed optimism Sunday that the influx of illegal immigration from Central America could be slowed, but repeatedly dodged questions about how the Obama administration would resolve the status of the immigrants who have already arrived. "I believe we´re going to stem this tide," Johnson stated in an appearance on NBC´s "Meet the Press." "We´re doing a number of things to do that right now," he said, citing the reduced time to deportation for adults and families apprehended crossing the border illegally. Johnson also warned that "there are no free passes once you get

June, also known as LGBT Pride Month, was busy for President Barack Obama. First, there was the announcement that he’d be signing an executive order barring federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Then there were the sanctions against Uganda for the country’s anti-gay laws. Then there was the extension of marriage benefits to same-sex couples who live in states that don’t recognize their unions. And to cap it all off, at a White House Pride Month celebration on the last night of June, Obama announced he’d be taking yet another step for equality

President Barack Obama is said to have begun quietly backing Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren as a potential successor in what would be a snub to his one-time rival and later Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The president has remained publicly mum about who he would back in the 2016 race for the White House, but reportedly he has expressed concern that Ms Clinton - who has long been the unofficial frontrunner for the Democratic nomination - would undo many of his policies. Senator Warren, a former Harvard law professor and administration aide, could energize the left wing of the Democrat

SEARCHLIGHT, Nev. — Harry Reid grew up in a shack in this dusty old gold-mining outpost in the middle of the desert. As he rose to political power, he amassed personal wealth and began living part time in a condo in Washington. But he never stopped holding tightly to a gritty public persona grounded in his Searchlight roots — building a house here and keeping the town his official residence. Along the way, a tiny town that thrived only briefly during a gold rush more than a century ago gained bragging rights as home to the most powerful man in

Moviegoers heading to Dinesh D’Souza’s America over the July 4 weekend probably aren’t expecting much star power, so they might be surprised when celebrities like Bono, Matt Damon and Woody Harrelson pop up on screen. While President Obama, Chris Matthews and Al Sharpton -- as well as Hillary Clinton -- are portrayed as disciples of Saul Alinsky, the movie also indicts Damon and Harrelson as members of the left who actively undermine the idea of “American exceptionalism” through their work and their status as celebrities. After apparently becoming incensed with a CNN anchor, Joan Rivers cut short a taped nationally televised interview. The Fashion Police personality walked off of a CNN Newsroom interview with host Fredricka Whitfield after the conversation turned to her boundaries when telling jokes. "This whole interview is becoming a defensive interview," Rivers said, also protesting that Whitfield´s line of questioning was mainly "negative." "You are not the one to interview a person who does humor, sorry," she added, before walking off the set. Whitfield later stated that she at first wondered if Rivers walking out of the interview was a stunt.

Deceitful. That is the best way to describe a Los Angeles Times report about five protesters arrested yesterday in Murrieta, CA. Nowhere in the story are the identities of the protestors indicated; whether they are pro-amnesty or against the dumping of the illegals in a federal facility in their city. Although the truth is very carefully avoided in the Los Angeles Times, you can find it right way in the headline at the Gateway Pundit: "FIVE COUNTER-PROTESTERS ARRESTED During Tense Standoff at Murrieta Illegal Immigrant Rally." In more than a decade on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, American forces have never been routed. American combat units have suffered extensive casualties, but they have never disintegrated into a helpless mass of individual soldiers, capable of nothing more than a desperate flight for safety. This achievement should not be taken for granted. Today, the armed forces grapple with a trillion dollars of defense cuts that are impairing readiness. And today is an appropriate time to reflect on the costs of unpreparedness: It was on this day in 1950 that American forces suffered the first of a series

Earlier this week, federal officials said that 140 immigrants who had been detained crossing the border in Texas would arrive Friday. But since the blockade by protesters Tuesday at Murrieta, officials have declined to provide information about the movement of the immigrants.

President Obama has quietly promised Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren complete support if she runs for president — a stinging rebuke to his nemesis Hillary Clinton, sources tell me. Publicly, Obama has remained noncommittal on the 2016 race, but privately he worries that Clinton would undo and undermine many of his policies. There’s also a personal animosity, especially with Bill Clinton, that dates from their tough race six years ago. A former Harvard law professor and administration aide, Warren would energize the left wing of the Democrat Party just as Obama did against Clinton in 2008.
