Obama: The Republican
budget hurts Americans

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Original Article

Posted By:SurferLad, 4/12/2014 9:20:56 AM

Hi, everybody. Earlier this week was Equal Pay Day. It marks the extra time the average woman has to work into a new year to earn what a man earned the year before. You see, the average woman who works full-time in America earns less than a man — even when she’s in the same profession and has the same education. That´s wrong. In 2014, it’s an embarrassment. Women deserve equal pay for equal work. This is an economic issue that affects all of us. Women make up about half our workforce. And more and more, they’re our families’ main breadwinners. So it’s good for everyone when women are paid fairly.

What drivel!

Since Obama took office, the National Debt increased from $10.6 trillion to $17.6 trillion (increase of $7.0 trillion in just 62 months). Of the current $17.6 trillion National Debt, 40% accrued since Obama took office.

Obama recently released a proposed budget that continued to increase the National Debt over the next ten years. His budget failed in the House by a vote of 2 to 413.

The consequences of Obama´s profligate overspending will burden our children, grandchildren and perhaps beyond.

It is time for Obama to cease the empty, community-organizer rhetoric and begin to propose real solutions to real problems.

BO´s administration hurts Americans! The sooner we are rid of him and the Democrats the better! Socialist Democrats work to bring the US to the lowest common denominator! The poorer we are, the richer they are!

On behalf of the American people, Michelle and I extend our best wishes to Muslim communities here in the United States and around the world on the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan. A time for self-reflection and devotion through prayer and fasting, Ramadan is also an occasion when Muslims around the world reaffirm their commitment to helping the less fortunate.

Hello, I´m Bill Cassidy, a Louisiana congressman and also a doctor. I’ve worked for 25 years caring for the uninsured, which I still do. Patients know that I am a congressman. Often, they would rather talk about problems in Washington than problems with their health. I have to say ‘timeout, let’s talk about you.’ But they tell me that they are fed up with Washington. They want their government to work for them.

Hi, everybody. This week, I spent a couple days in Minneapolis, talking with people about their lives — their concerns, their successes, and their hopes for the future. I went because of a letter I received from a working mother named Rebekah, who shared with me the hardships her young family has faced since the financial crisis. She and her husband Ben were just newlyweds expecting their first child.

By now, everyone´s become annoyingly familiar with the eagerness of Barack and Michelle Obama and their administrative minions to tell Americans how to live their lives, according to Democrat dicta of what is healthy, desirable, proper and politically correct. They´ve only got 938 days left to cram more rules, regulations and requirements down the national throat. [Snip] But now it turns out Empress Gina McCarthy and her EPA regulation empire have encountered an environmental problem of their own. And it stinks. Really. Someone or someones has taken to defecating in EPA office hallways. Yes, it´s gross. But also hilariously karmic.

Today is the last big primary day until late summer, despite the nation´s burning desire to read nothing but politics at the beach for two months. Tonight´s results from six states will be over-interpreted by members of the media and supporters on all sides. The most closely-watched primary, of course, is Mississippi´s GOP Senate runoff tilt. By the time mosquitoes swarm Mississippi River banks this evening, the heated Republican primary should be determined.

Let’s talk about energy — how it affects our daily lives, and how Republicans are working to make it more affordable, reliable, and beneficial. Not too long ago, we thought America’s energy needs could only be met through increasing foreign dependence. It’s a scary thought, particularly as we watch the chaos unfold overseas and gasoline prices closing in on four bucks a gallon here at home. I hear constantly from working families struggling with the cost of filling the tank just to drive to and from work.

As President, my top priority is rebuilding an economy where everybody who works hard has the chance to get ahead. The man you see before you, Corporal William Kyle Carpenter, should not be alive today. Hand grenades are one of the most awful weapons of war. They only weigh about a pound, but they’re packed with TNT. If one lands nearby, you have mere seconds to seek cover. When it detonates, its fragments shoot out in every direction. And that spray of shrapnel can inflict devastating injuries. Up close, it’s almost certain death. But we are here because this man faced that explosive power with his own body to protect a fellow Marine.

California´s Dianne Feinstein is chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, an oxymoron in many minds. But she knows a lot of classified stuff, including what the Obama administration is thinking about the bloody political and military mess in Iraq. [Snip] On Wednesday Feinstein said: "The Maliki government, candidly, has got to go if you want any reconciliation." If he’s smart and aware of a little history about America´s deadly diplomacy, Iraq´s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, a Shiite, might want to change his behavior toward Sunnis rather quickly.

What was just a suspicion this spring has now become a clear national trend, confirmed by a series of new polling numbers: Americans´ faith in Barack Obama´s basic competence as president and commander-in-chief is crumbling beneath the weight of accumulating scandals, inept images and overseas crises in which Obama often seems surprised, unprepared, hesitant to act and easily out-maneuvered. The alleged economic recovery is stalled 4 years after Obama´s Recovery Summer of 2010. As the American military´s hard-won Iraq war gains seem endangered, a new Wall Street Journal poll finds approval of Obama´s foreign policy at

Sen. Tom Coburn gives the Republican Party's Weekly Remarks My name is Tom Coburn. As a physician and three-time cancer survivor, I know firsthand how frustrating the wait to see a doctor can be. The Department of Veterans Affairs admitted this week that veterans must wait up to three months to get a doctor’s appointment. These delays have been linked to unnecessary deaths and complications. This is unacceptable. It screams of government incompetency.

Facebook’s News Feed—the main list of status updates, messages, and photos you see when you open Facebook on your computer or phone—is not a perfect mirror of the world. But few users expect that Facebook would change their News Feed in order to manipulate their emotional state. We now know that’s exactly what happened two years ago. For one week in January 2012, data scientists skewed what almost 700,000 Facebook users saw when they logged into its service. Some people were shown content with a preponderance of happy and positive words; some were shown content analyzed as sadder than average.

Edward Klein’s book about the animosity between the Clintons and Obamas, “Blood Feud” (Regnery Publishing), rocketed up the best-seller charts since it was featured in The Post last Sunday. Here, in another exclusive excerpt, Klein describes how Bill’s health is a preoccupation of the Clintons. A pair of black, armor-plated SUVs swung into a suburban cul-de-sac and crunched to a stop in the driveway of the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York. A wall of burly Secret Service agents jumped out and surrounded the man who emerged from the lead vehicle. It was mid-summer 2013, and Bill Clinton looked shrunken and weary.

The Keystone Pipeline project was expected to create tens of thousands of high paying jobs in the oil industry. The project itself would create 20,000 construction jobs. And the pipeline would bring oil from Canada and North Dakota to refineries in the United States. The proposed project would have extended from Alberta, Canada to Illinois, transporting approximately 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Estimated cost is $1.7 billion. But Obama rejected the plan in 2011 and 2014. Democrats are beholden to the radical green movement – the poor and middle class be damned. As thousands of disease-riddled criminals storm across our borders, is it really time to mince words? President Obama appears to have an Agenda for America that stinks worse than a Border Patrol bus depot crammed with urine-drenched illegals. Is the man trying to protect and defend us, or does he want us to kick the bucket, run down the curtain, and join the choir invisible? On January 29, 2014, the Department of Homeland Security advertised for a vendor to escort 65,000 “unaccompanied alien children,” indicating that they not only knew the alien invasion was coming, they planned it.

I am rapidly coming to the preliminary conclusion that Elizabeth Warren will be the Democrats’ 2016 standard bearer. Hillary Clinton is just too unlikable (remember that Barack Obama called her “likable enough” in one of the most memorable back handed compliments of recent political memory), and too transparently greedy, self-serving, and out of touch. Not to mention the appalling foreign affairs crises the United States faces in the wake of her term as Secretary of State. Her brand is tarnished. Say this for President Obama: He’s got an uncanny ability to block out distractions and keep his eye on the ball. Facing a horrific expansion of terrorism in the Mideast, a meltdown of public support at home and major rebukes by the Supreme Court, the president remains fixated on No. 1. “I’m finding lately I just want to say what’s on my mind,” he told a Minneapolis audience Friday, and then ticked off a series of complaints about — surprise — Republicans. “They don’t do anything, except block me and call me names,” he said. “If they were more interested in growing the

"I want to talk to you about the future," said the NBC reporter interviewing Jarrett. "Is Michelle Obama going to run for office?" "No," Jarrett said resolutely. "You said that very definitively," the reporter countered. "Well, I´m absolutely, 100 percent positive that that will never happen," Jarrett proclaimed. The reporter prodded, "How about Valerie Jarrett? Will you ever run for office?" "Unlikely," Obama´s adviser said, leaving the door slightly open. "But maybe?"
