Holder: We Want to Explore
Gun Tracking Bracelets

Washington Free Beacon, by Elizabeth Harrington

Attorney General Eric Holder said on Friday that gun tracking bracelets are something the Justice Department (DOJ) wants to “explore” as part of its gun control efforts. When discussing gun violence prevention programs within the DOJ, Holder told a House appropriations subcommittee that his agency is looking into technological innovations. Holder: We Want to Explore Gun Tracking Bracelets DOJ requesting $2 million for ‘Gun Safety Technology’ grants. “I think that one of the things that we learned when we were trying to get passed those common sense reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a

Comments:
Common sense would dictate placing a clandestine-backdoor-NSA-controlled-make-inoperable switch chip in every gun -- Holder was heard to murmur holding the mike in his hand.

Others have suggested manufacturing GPS tracking and RFID chips into every gun. RFID chips transmit location data and are used by law enforcement agencies to send automatic alerts if a weapon moves away from the tracker, indicating that the gun is lost or stolen.

Are they serious? This is so wrong, on so many levels...

RFID devices do not transmit unless they are near a receiving device (which sends a signal to the RFID chip which activates it by giving it power).

Holder dares not venture into crime breakdown by race, and which specific demographic commits the overwhelming bulk of violent crime in this nation. Instead, the crypto-marxist would like to harness a crisis and disarm the rest of us, leaving us vulnerable to criminals who attack in packs, using whatever weapon is at hand.

If they were not seriously spending money on this it would be laughable. I can just imagine career criminals dutifully wearing their tracking bracelets and making sure the implanted rifid chips are in working order before performing criminal acts of violence. Ohh and please tell us mr holder, what will happen to all the older guns? Will they have to be turned in? This is not out of George Orwells animal farm, its out of the funny farm.

AS if criminals who get their hands on guns will not be able to dismantle tracking devices. Besides, if you are going to use a gun for nefarious purposes, who cares if the weapon is "tracked"?

My second worry is; The government could not track 13 Terrorists who performed on 9/11 like a Swiss Watch. And the Gvt. had tons of clues and alerts on them...Duh!

Can you imagine how bungled they would be over "tracking" a hundred million fire arms?

Non-lawyers often ask me, “What is the best way to argue with a liberal?” This is silly, because there is no best way to argue with a liberal. They´re beyond argument. You might as well argue with your terrier. Take it from someone who argues with his hideous terrier all the time. But if you do choose to argue with a liberal, understand that your purpose should never be to change the liberal’s mind. You´re not going to change the liberal’s mind. Instead, if you choose to argue with a liberal, you should do it for one of two reasons – to either win over people who have not yet made up their minds, or to support people who already have begun to understand

Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´." The Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, thinks that´s loco. (Technically, he said, "I disagree".) For Republicans hoping to avoid the kind of drama that might derail what looks to be a very good midterm election year, this kind of call is both a nuisance and a trend.
