Team Boehner to Drudge: We didn´t ´
expand´ Obamacare, we repealed a piece

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

Original Article

Posted By:drive, 4/7/2014 12:31:34 PM

Hours after the Drudge Report suggested on Sunday that "Republicans expand[ed] Obamacare" in the headline for the site´s lead story, an "alert" from the office of House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, countered that they had actually "chip[ped] away another piece" of the law. The recent change "eliminated a cap on deductibles for small group policies offered inside the law´s health care exchanges as well as outside," the Associated Press explained. "Successfully repealing this Obamacare provision is just one part of Republicans´ larger effort to repeal the full law and replace it with better solutions focused on lowering health care costs for families

Usually Drudge is right on, not this time. It doesn´t seem to matter to some WHAT John Boehner OR Republicans in Congress do lately. By all means, let´s all jump on the old bandwagon and continue beating up John Boehner and the rest of them right up to the day nancy pelousy triumphantly takes back her gavel! IMHO, Speaker Boehner is right! The Republican House is trying to make sure Dr´s will still be paid properly for their services when dealing with Medicare...Good Grief! Btw, the "crying" thing is tedious.

Clear as mud. If this is supportable by the rank and file GOP why did they call a voice vote so its supporters couldn´t be identified by name? If this was above board, as opposed to another subterfuge by JB, why was the vote ´declared´ affirmative when the video of it clearly shows it was not passed by the majority? This stinks, and anybody who believes this ´repealed´ part of Obamacare is well and truly gullible. Such an act would be well received in broad daylight. Not for a moment do I believe they did the right thing, the right way, nor for the right reasons.

I am with Drudge. This is Dole-era Republican thought. We will FIX the worst parts of Democrat policy. WE will do it cheaper and better. Basically, we are the somewhat more responsible folks ready to run the giant Federal government. We are NOT radical libertarians or fiscal conservatives. WE just have a little more common sense than those Democrats, even though they mean well.

No more. If the Republican leadership does not get the message after this next election, a third party is coming.

What they should do is keep repealing but call it expanding and never give in. Always call it expanding. When opposed by the Democrats accuse them of trying to repeal. Play the whole game to stupid voters. The intelligent will catch on.

After all, the Democrats have jobs bills that are actually job killers. They have tax reductions that actually raise taxes. They claim they support free speech when they are actually suppressing it. Pretty much everything they claim to be doing is the opposite of what it really is.

The earliest Obamacare could be " repealed " would be January 2017.
Assuming we have a Republican president, House and Senate.
And then it´s going to take years to unravel the mess Obama and the Democrats created.
Anyone who says that once Obamacare is repealed,
Shazaam, the entire healthcare complex will magically revert back to 2013 is either treating you like an idiot.
Or they are.
In the interim , the Republicans tried to give a miniscule , teeeny tiny measure of relief to
small businesses and suddenly
they´re the bad guys ??!!!
So sayeth Drudge and Limbaugh.
Boehner and the Republicans should ignore Drudge and Limbaugh and keep doing whatever they can to help Americans through this disaster.
Any little bit helps.

If this is bad for Obamacare, why did Obama sign it?

From day one, one thing had been clear: This was Obama´s law. It was unethically passed with zero Republican votes. For once, Democrats had to own what they had done. Since then, the Democrats have been desperately trying to get Republicans to co-own some part -- any part -- of Obamacare so they can start blaming Republicans for its failings.

By allowing Republicans to "fix" this part of Obamacare, the Democrats have achieved two things. First, Republicans´ hands are no longer clean on this issue. No one knows or cares about the details. Republicans are now collaborating with Democrats to repair Obama´s law. The waters have been successfully muddied. Second, by helping Democrats fix the most egregious and unpopular aspects of this law, Republicans are helping relieve pressure to repeal it. Anything that lessens Obamacare´s impact helps preserve it. Apparently the political leader of our opposition to Obama in Congress can´t figure any of this out.

John Boehner makes me want to cry.

Hillary Clinton appeared Tuesday on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote her book, "Hard Choices." Stewart briefly discussed the 656-page tome about Clinton´s tenure as secretary of state and then asked exactly what everyone is wondering. "No one cares," about the book, he said. "They just want to know if you´re running for president." Stewart, like so many, tried to get the answer -- even telling Clinton that it sounded like she had just declared that she was running. Like so many others Stewart couldn´t confirm anything, but he gets points for asking the most creative questions.

Politicians in Germany have devised an ingenious solution to combat the threat of eavesdropping by American spies: playing classical music during their meetings.
