For Dems, a problem with seniors
The Hill [DC], by Alexandra Jaffe

Democrats are facing a senior problem that could get even worse this year. The party has traditionally had trouble with older voters, losing the group aged 65 and over by 21 points in 2010 — when Republicans picked up 63 seats — and by 12 points in the 2012 presidential race. Seniors are the GOP’s most reliable voting bloc in midterm years, turning out in higher numbers than Democratic base voters. A recent Gallup poll showed seniors have become even more Republican over the last two decades; in 2013, 48 percent considered themselves Republican. That spells trouble for Democrats, who are already facing

Most of the seniors can clearly see through the ridiculous liberal Utopian fantasies these democrats believe. We know a large percent of our Nation are clueless, and mindlessly follow these fantasies because they sound good.

Democrats should never be elected to any public office. Democrats do not know how to govern, they only know how to rule.

Behind all the blather of statistics is the fact that Medicare Advantage, as a contract to provide medical care for the year, ensures access to your regular doctors and hospitals for the entire year for a fixed monthly fee. For those living on a very limited budget, this is a good program which accounts for its popularity. In many counties in the nation, doctors refuse to take on new Medicare patients.

We may be old, but we are not dumb. Most seniors are willing take a hit as long as the Medicaid/welfare crowd does too, but it never does. Providing able bodied moochers with more and more at the expense of those who worked hard and paid taxes all their lives is insulting. Seniors are tired of these democrat policies. We know who gets the benefit of our hard earned taxes over a lifetime. Democrats are doing what they do best, robbing Peter to pay Paul and that´s Paul who hasn´t worked a day in his life but continually has his hand out demanding more. Seniors know their fate in democrat hands, end of life counseling and death panels.

#s 8 & 9. Medicaid is essentially free; however, after you expire, some states will go after your estate in order to recoup some or all of the bills that were paid through Medicaid.
With Medicare the state can´t get at your estate.

“Democrats are committed to making sure that our health care system works, and we will work to improve the Affordable Care Act — not repealing it and taking us back to the days when insurance companies had free rein to raise rates and deny coverage,” said Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spokesman Josh Schwerin. “Republicans’ repeal would end the Medicare guarantee and raise costs on seniors’ prescription drugs by $1,200 a person — immediately.”

This is the nonsense that is already appearing in attack ads by Hagan in NC. When the Dems are in trouble, they attack, and lie, and most lofos will believe it!

Democrats have always operated in this manner, stealing money, throwing tax dollars at useless enterprises to buy votes, supporting corrupt unions in exchange for campaign contributions, trying to gain even more control over peoples´ lives. Their problem is that under Obama, they reached a little too far, took a little too much. Now their "compassion" is seen for the greed that is behind it. Their growing list of rules "for your own good" is exposed as totalitarian style control. If we fight hard enough through 2016, we can suppress them for a very long time. We can´t let the old school Republicans or the MSM pick our next candidates for us, we need true conservatives with brains. They lofos may outnumber us but we can cut them off at the knees by turning off the endless ATM card that the democrats have given them. John Galt is alive and well.

To say that democrats have no place in Government is an understatement in t5he least. They don´t understand how hard the average citizen works to earn enough to get by every day. The democrats are consumed with pissing away the taxpayer earnings to mostly undeserving others who refuse to work.
Welfare recipients in a lot of cases a given much more than hardworking families earn in a year.
Shame on this Democrat administration.

It seems that dims are trying so hard to convince America just how great Obozocare really is, and that eliminating Medicare Advantage and cutting Medicare to the bone is such a great thing. Couple that with the death panels that are being created by Obozocare, it would seem that dims want to eliminate seniors permanently rather than try to convince them to vote for dims. With seniors out of the way, they just might become the majority political party to centuries.

My mother´s supplemental plan went up almost $2,000 dollars this year, and this doesn´t include my father´s plan. He´s in hospice so she´s paying his month to month and it´s gone up $300 a month.

She and her friends are freaking out about the coming Medicare Advantage changes. These folks have assets, but they´re far from rich. My mother had to sell some stock they´d had for 30 years to pay for my father´s nursing home care, and then the government came in and took a percentage of that sale for taxes.

Another problem the Dems will have with Seniors is that many of them are now dealing with their children´s problems. Long-term unemployment means that some of them have their grown children and teenaged grandchildren living with them again. They know how bad things are out there because they see their kids losing their houses and their grandchildren unable to find a job.

The Democrats want to cut Medicare because they know obamacare is going to thin the senior ranks dramatically in the years ahead. They also know that will take some of the pressure off of Social Security getting rid of the seniors so those funds can be spent on food stamps and welfare their voting base. That´s just two more reasons to repeal obamacare and not fix it even for small business. I can´t stand either party any more.

President Obama was 500 miles from the Mexican border when he spoke about the child migrant crisis Wednesday evening, but he seemed to be even farther away than that. Standing before an oddly non-descript background in Dallas (really, the president could have been anywhere), Obama kept his distance—from the border, from the thousands of refugee children in bureaucratic limbo there, and from a Congress, he told the public, that bears the brunt of the responsibility for solving the problem. It was a president who, while bitterly complaining about the partisan divide in Washington, seemed more boxed in by it than ever, taking

In assessing the future of politics, former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe offered an eye-catching prediction in The Wall Street Journal´s op-ed page Monday: The Republican strongholds of Arizona, Georgia, and, yes, Texas, are poised to become swing states over the next couple of decades. His projection shouldn´t be too surprising: When looking at the booming minority growth across the country, it´s easy to see how the political composition of certain states can change dramatically, even in once-partisan strongholds. The border crisis is forcing President Obama to pay the price for a re-election move he made two years ago. At the time, Obama was hoping to energize Latino voters who were disappointed that he had raised deportations to record levels in an attempt to build credibility with Republican lawmakers for an eventual deal on immigration reform. So in June 2012, Obama announced a half-measure he would take on his own. Through an executive order, Obama allowed hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who came before the age of 16 to remain in the U.S. As a campaign tactic, it was a

A year ago, Mr. Obama boasted in a “fireside” Web chat that his “is the most transparent administration in history.” There was not the slightest hint of irony. He may actually believe it. Imagine that it is 1937 and time for the first Social Security payroll taxes to be assessed on workers and their employers. Two years earlier, President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s new program was successfully sold to the American public as an ambitious yet fiscally responsible, self-financing expansion of social insurance protections. The new Federal Insurance Contributions Act tax—a payroll tax of 2 percent on earnings—will pay for it. Imagine further, however, that upon 1937’s arrival, FDR and Congress decide they don’t want to risk the problematic politics associated with imposing the payroll tax. The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Despite his continuous denials, some still believe that Mitt Romney will run for president in 2016. Speaking to MSNBC on Monday, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, went one step further saying that the former Massachusetts governor will be occupying the White House after the next presidential election. “I think he actually is going to run for president. He probably doesn’t want me to say that. A hundred times he says he’s not, but Mitt Romney has always accomplished what he has set out to do,”

WASHINGTON — Congressional Democrats said Tuesday that they had developed legislation to override the Supreme Court decision on contraceptives. The bill would ensure that women have access to coverage for birth control even if they work for businesses that have religious objections. The bill, developed in consultation with the Obama administration, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive services, under the Affordable Care Act. The measure could be on the Senate floor as early as next week, Senate Democrats said. “Your health care decisions are not your boss’s

Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, “no mas.” Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Discrediting the price paid for America’s exceptionalism over our history, he’s given false hope and taxpayer’s change to millions of foreign nationals who want to sneak into our country illegally. Because of Obama’s purposeful dereliction of duty an untold

Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton told the German magazine Der Spiegel on Tuesday that she and her husband Bill were ´deeply in debt´ when they left the White House, and blamed ´relentless persecution´ by Republicans for her legal bills after his presidency. The claim has added fuel to the fire Clinton herself touched off last month when she claimed they were ´dead broke´ after their time in the White House. The former first lady earns $200,000 or more every time she makes a public speech. The former president has earned a reported $104 million in speaking fees since he

The Independence Day weekend, usually one of the year´s biggest, fizzled drastically this time. Here´s what to blame — and it wasn´t the World Cup or Hurricane Arthur What if they gave a July 4th party and nobody came? That’s what Hollywood is wondering in the wake of an Independence Day weekend that had moviegoers expressing their Declaration of Indifference — by boycotting the multiplexes.

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim. Between

A poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal, NBC News, and Annenberg finally gave a numerical answer to a question we at Mediaite often ask ourselves: Out of all political figures that should pipe down just a bit, which one should do it immediately? Answer: Sarah Palin. Overwhelmingly Sarah Palin, says America. 52% of surveyed American adults want Sarah Palin to “be quiet,” according to the poll taken between June 30 and July 7 (Snip) 45% of respondents added that they wanted Jesse Jackson to be quiet, too; followed by Dick Cheney (42%), Newt Gingrich (39%), Al Gore (37%), and

Costco has suddenly — and according to author Dinesh D’Souza, inexplicably —booted his book from stores nationwide, ordering chain operators to clear their shelves of “America: Imagine a World Without Her” by July 15. Mr. D’Souza said roughly 3,600 copies of his newest release has sold at Costco already, but he has no idea why the chain refuses to sell more. “We’re in the process of finding out what’s happening,” he told WND. “I look forward to getting to the bottom of this and continuing the strong relationship my publisher and I have always had with Costco and their millions

Despite Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson vowing to "stem the tide" of unaccompanied illegal minors across the southern border with Mexico, thousands more are expected to enter the United States by the end of the year. With the system being overwhelmed, Border Patrol agents are concerned about minors who have admitted to being MS-13 members, a brutal street gang from El Salvador that has been successful in infiltrating American communities. Agents are also concerned about minors who have committed acts like torture and murder in their home countries before heading north to the United States. "We have six minors in Nogales
