Mozilla blowback: bursting the
PC bubble?

Legal Insurrection, by Neo-neocon

The people at Mozilla may yet live to regret their decision in cooperating with the forcing out of Brendan Eich. Apparently the internet giant has been getting a lot of negative reaction to its jettisoning of Eich for his contribution in support of California’s Proposition 8 back in 2008. Whether or not this will actually end up hurting Mozilla, one wonders whether Mozilla even anticipated the possibility. The folks at Mozilla travel in a world in which PC thought dominates, and if you don’t believe me, take Nate Silver’s word for it (and after the 2012 election, I’m inclined to

I´m getting used to Chrome. I hate the lack of bookmarks in the sidebar (and no I won´t get the add-on to put them there). But it works fairly well otherwise. And it´s worth it to send a message to Mozilla.

Too bad. I like Firefox, but I don´t like leftist fascists telling us how we must believe. I stopped using Google because they are EVIL. Now I´ll have to do the same with Firefox. I´m trying out the Comodo Icedragon browser.

I think I am going with the Comodo Dragon browser, have downloaded but not yet installed. I also wrote Mozilla and told them I would be discontinuing use of their browser. I also told them that I didn´t think this was going to end well for them and that last week Chick-fil-A surpassed KFC in the fast food chicken business.

I also removed FF some time ago. This most recent action by Mozilla assures that I will not reinstall it in the foreseeable future.

My pick now is Opera, which recently became a Chrome based browser that is slowly coming up to speed (old Opera features are being added in). The original Opera was responsible for many innovations that were mimicked by its competitors (chiefly Firefox).

I bought Netscape 3.0 Gold for $129.95 when Internet Loser was free. I used Netscape until the idiots at AOL ruined it, used Firefox until I found SeaMonkey, a Mozilla browser that ran wonderfully.... and then this. I am still looking for a browser I like that isn´t a direct spy to evil like Chrome.

I sent a nice but terse message to Mozilla. I hope the rest of you do the same.

After Googling around a bit, it appears that the global browser market has changed a lot in the last 5 years. Microsoft´s Internet Explorer (IE) has fallen rapidly from its dominant position to 3rd place. Mozilla´s Firefox (FF) is trending down in 2nd place. The newest product, Google´s Chrome, has rocketed into first place in those five years, its current market share is as much as IE and FF combined and still climbing. So it´s going to be hard to tell what effect current blow-back will have on FF usage.

After having been an enthusiastic FF user since its inception, and its precursor Netscape, I´ve this week abruptly uninstalled FF and will no longer tout it to friends and associates. I´m now running Chrome which is quicker in its response and display than FF has been in years for me. The problem is that I´ve heard(?) that Google is a big time supporter of the Mozilla effort. So, to be continued.

We must not abide those who abide fascists. We must push back at EVERY opportunity.
I never thought that thought crimes would come to America. Then again, I recognize this leftist infested America less every day.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) has signed legislation that provides for a task force to write new education standards that will eventually replace the Common Core in his state. Nixon’s office announced his approval of the measure Monday, the last possible day the governor could take action on bills passed earlier this year, local news KMBC.com reports.
