Romney 2016: Coulter Says Mitt
Strongest on Immigration

Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by Jeffrey Poor

Original Article

Earlier this week on Boston’s WRKO-AM’s The Howie Carr Show, conservative commentator Ann Coulter shocked some conservatives when she said she is making 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney her favorite for the 2016 Republican contest. Last month in an interview on CBS’s Face the Nation, Romney himself ruled out the possibility of a 2016 run and said he was instead focused on who to get behind in that contest. Coulter, however, wishes otherwise. “Well, don´t tell him but I´m planning on giving Mitt Romney a little more time to rest -- flying out, kidnapping him and depriving him of sleep, food and

I think I already saw this movie.
And though I still think that Romney would have been an excellent President, that ship done sailed.
Actually, he may have realy won the election. One of the 3 swing states that decided the election, North Carolina, has just discovered that 35,700 registered NC voters are registered in other states, and that Obama won NC by 14,000 out of 2.3-million. See John Fund´s article on NRO.
And we already know that there were overvotes in Dem voting districts in OH and FL.
I am absolutely convinced Obama stole the election

The "McCain" voters that stayed home for Mitt are misnamed. They were Palin voters and Romney just didn´t measure up. As Denis Miller might say, I wasn´t a fan of his old work and don´t look forward to his new.

Romney is a very smart man and experienced in both the public and the private sectors. He is experienced in turning around failing businesses. I would vote for him again.

I would also vote for Dick Cheney, a hawk that we need right now and one who is not afraid to blast the leftists who are in power.

She´s right. If immigration issue is at all important to you, Romney is your only choice. Ironically, the richest Republican in sight is not kowtowing to cheap labor interests, nor pandering to the mainly Hispanic immigration activists. Any lesser immigration policy will forever change this country, and not for the better, if you´re of a Conservative frame of mind.

TEST:
- Anyone who has another favorite candidate needs to state that candidate´s immigration stand.
- Name one candidate who is as strong or stronger on immigration than Romney.

Ann is just sort of playing around, but she´s right in that that Romney, even with a disappointing general election campaign, was the best we could have fielded in 2012. IMO no one else could have gotten close to 206 electoral votes (and perhaps saved the House).

Let´s see who shows up for 2016. Each wanna-be will have drawbacks, real and potential.

And I don´t see how anyone can conclude that we are not much worse off under Obama today than we would have been under "RINO" Romney. Just getting rid of Eric Holder and his criminal gang at DOJ would have made a world of difference; we would know that judicial nominees were being selected with a proper understanding of the role of the courts; Israel would know that she still had a strong ally; we could watch our president salute the flag and lay wreaths and know that he MEANT it.

I wish he had run a better race, but I for one was glad to vote for Romney and would do so again without hesitation.

Romney would have been a better president by far than Jughead. But, the left slimed him so badly that he is now toxic. While they will do that to any candidate the R´s put up, why let them use their old talking points? Nominate a new guy, and make them have to come up with new slime.

#15, it is not just the left that has slimed Romney "so badly that he is now toxic." He has suffered the same abuse from many who call themselves conservatives--although the most vocal of these seem more bent on destroying the Republican Party than promoting its ideals. But you are certainly correct when you say that Obama and his left-wing henchmen and media sycophants stole the 2012 election, thus giving us the worst president in history and undermining the people and institutions of what was once the greatest country in the world.

Romney reiterated a really dumb immigration policy for a Presidential candidate "Hispanics should Self-deport" that was not a good way to ask for votes from the US citizen Hispanic population groups, he found that out immediately after the election.

It would have been much better for him to have said that he intends to see that the immigration laws are effectively, and fairly administered and enforced by the federal immigration authorities without specifically mentioning any ethnicity or nationality.

The "McCain voters" and the "Palin voters" who stayed home in 2012 gave us Obama. Thanks a bunch. We´ll be lucky if we ever recover from this disastrous Presidency. Perhaps those are still waiting for Reagan to rise from the dead. No One could have beaten Obama and the "cool" factor in ´08 or ´12. Just take a look at the increasingly rapid cultural decline/degradation and its easy to see how "The One" won. (Remember: "We are the ones we´ve been waiting for".)

The only way to turn the country around is to elect Character, Integrity, Leadership, Principle, Honesty, Dignity, Experience. Romney exemplifies those traits.

Mention Willard and his usual fan club is at the barricades, yet again, w/their lame excuses and infantile fables; who insist we would have entered paradise on earth bounded by sweetness and light in 2008. Why of course! But reality intrudes. As Axelrod, Zeke Emanuel and Jarrett have said since 2009, (and it´s on the video record), Romneycare was the template for Obamacare. But we´re to believe Willard would have repealed it??? Why of course! As for Immigration, we´re also to believe that this son of George the Brainwashed (part of the GOP lefty cabal of Rockefeller/NY, Scranton/PA, Richardson/MA and Cahill/NJ) would turn his back on his progressive heritage and political genes, nurtured by WS, the CofC and crony capitalism; and enforce our immigration law??? Why of course because that sage Coulter says so. And the piece´ de resistance offered up, is that Willard would be a ´strict constructionist´ on SCOTUS nominees. For the record, an R POTUS nominated the following; Brennan and Warren/Eisenhower, Blackmun/Nixon, J.P. Stevens/Ford and Souther/Bush; arguably 5 of the most radical Justices in our history whose legacy of constitutional subversion continues to reverberate today but Willard wouldn´t nominate anyone like them.Of course!
In order to change, one has to clearly understand how one has gotten to the current situation, then have a firm purpose of amendment; and change!!! But the usual suspects, anathema to change, ignore history and are nostalgic for more of the same.
The TP is unamused and has no further interest!!!!!

The Republican establishment bears a lot of the blame for electing Obama. McCain was, well, another Bob Dole. Romney is a very nice man. He has a lovely family. (I still think Ann is the smartest one in the bunch.). Romney´s expertise is business, always was and always will be. He was a fair one-term Governor. Romney lacks the courage to fight. He is useful for the GOP now for fundraising. If he did not have tens of millions, the establishment would not even be returning his calls. Ann is ridiculous here.

#22, mention Romney and you´re sure to provoke a stampede of self-righteous RINO-phobes who regurgitate the same, tired, often illogical complaints against this man that we´ve heard since the 2012 election. You don´t like him. We all get it. But you don´t have to vote for him, just as you probably also did not do in 2012. But if you want to do something positive about the upcoming elections, channel your voice, energy and money into supporting efforts to combat the rampant voter fraud that invariably rewards the "progressive" candidates in all close elections. Other than that, your words are all sound and fury signifying nothing.

#24. Must be beyond frustrating being from rock solid blue MA, where nobody pays your insights and wisdom any mind. However a lesson from History, mankind´s greatest teacher, per Santayana. Germany, in 1918, a nation unable to either understand or accept it´s defeat in the Great War, bought into the absurd canard that it was stabbed in the back at home; creating fertile ground for Herr Shickelgruber. Today´s version is, Romney lost because of voter fraud, another absurd canard and an article of faith among his fans; never substantiated as it can´t be. Romney lost because of who he was, a feckless, inept and visionless nominee which the voters grasped in their very soul; so they stuck w/the incompetent hack they knew. The policies advanced by the DC Progressives (both D´s and R´s) since Reagan have heightened economic anxiety and insecurity for the average voter and as a consequence, driven countless of the working class into the embrace of the Dems. So when they hear the likes of Romney blathering on
w/sanctimonious liberal cant and the pious platitudes of the rich and famous; which has no meaning in their lives; they close the door. Welcome to reality.

Immigration is the most serious problem facing us. We have millions of illegal aliens causing damage to this country, using up resources, taking jobs, moving us towards a Third World life-style, setting up terrorist cells.

Then there are legal immigrants, many hating this country, seeking to rip off our welfare system, taking jobs, pushing for Sharia laws. The Somali communities are an horrific example.

A Gov. from the Red Heartland (Pence, Walker etc.)who at his core is principled, whose public/private life story demonstrates a record of achievement, has executive experience and critically, both relates positively to and understands the attitudes and aspirations of TR´s plain people. He does not have to ´stack up´, against the likes of Romney. As for Coulter´s criteria, when an individual has principles and values, these are as irrelevant as she is. The TP awaits. True conservatives can take heart from the fact that Cruz (and only Cruz) is even stronger on illegal immigration than was Romney. Whether Cruz can win the nomination - or the general election is another matter. And then there´s that pesky citizenship issue.

The Self-deport position was less "squishiness" (self-deport is the position of the virulent anti-amnesty group NumbersUSA) than facing the reality that it is very very difficult to deport anyone these days once they have lawyered up (Obama´s Aunt and Uncle are exhibits A and B).

Self deport means we make it as miserable as possible for the illegal to stay in the country by enforcing employment laws and not handing out food stamps and other freebies. With no means of support, the illegals would tend to go back from whence they came.

Romney´s 2016 problem is the exact same problem he faced in 2012: No one trusts him.

Trust is the fundamental element every leader MUST have to lead. There is no substitute for trust. Romney has over the years taken almost every side of an issue. This is an undeniable fact. His views seemed to change depending on what stance would garner the most votes at any given time.
Even his own campaign adviser used the word "etch-a-sketch" to describe how solid his stances were during the 2012 campaign.

It is clear to me that those that make up and defend the Republican Establishment and its candidates have no clue as to what leadership is nor what a leader looks and acts like. Credentials mean nothing when applied to someone who cannot be trusted, no matter what job they are looking for.

Got Tea?

Transcripts of congressional testimony released by the House Armed Services committee are the latest in a growing body of evidence that the 2012 Benghazi attacks were premeditated. Gen. A month before former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called for President Barack Obama to be impeached on the pages of Breitbart News over his lawlessness on illegal immigration, Obama was already concerned that his unilateral actions on immigration could warrant impeachment. Despite evidence that the current border crisis is at least partly the result of its previous executive action on immigration, the White House decided it was merely a "public relations problem" and moved forward with plans to issue further executive actions along similar lines. The New York Times has a piece out today which contains some new insight into the White House´s thinking about the border crisis and how it relates to the President´s stated goal of taking action on immigration without Congress. The central weakness of the Republican´s political position in Washington has been on vivid display as the situation at the southern border has devolved into a complete crisis. As tens of thousands of foreign nationals overwhelm the border and render our sovereign boundary meaningless, Republicans in DC are tinkering with legislative fixes they say will address the situation. The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
