Who should replace David Letterman?
Here´s the Daily News´ Top Ten list

New York Daily News, by Don Kaplan

David Letterman is irreplaceable, but someone must step into his shoes in 2015 to take the reigns. In the spirit of CBS’ long-running late night talk show, here’s our own Top Ten list of people who should replace Letterman: 10. Jon Stewart — The host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” has long been considered a favorite to take over Letterman’s gig. 9. Chris Rock — Arguably one of the funniest comedians on the planet, and he’s already hosted his own HBO show in the past. 8. Conan O’Brien — He’s got the chops. He’s got the talent. He needs to

Sorry for the second post, but

Furguson: certifiable and way too flaky for the time slot.

Stewart: much better on the outside throwing in, and news based. Would not be comfortable doing the celeb interview thing.

Handler: too angry, too flaky.

Larry David: you gotta be kidding me.

Seinfeld: Doesn´t want it. His thing is carefully crafted standup, not of-the-day reaction to what´s happening. And he´s not hungry.

Louis CK: Also not his form.

Chris Rock: do we want him hollering at us every night as we look at TV between our feet?

Pohler and Fey: Two? Women? Outside the box.

Conan: Ready for another network failure?

Nope.Nope. Nope. This is Leno´s to turn down. I hope he goes for it. First line of his monologue:

"Let´s see. Where was I?"

Let´s see, who would appeal to Letterman´s audience? Kim il Jon? I understand he can kill an audience. Mamuhd Abbas? Nah, too Semetic. Stalin? Nah, he´s dead. I guess we´ll just have to go with Beelzebub and his famous little demon band. That should get things rocking.

Let´s see: he´d have to be one ugly, mean-spirited, unfunny, woman-using despicable creep to fill Dave´s shoes. Many of the ten qualify in the mean-spirited, unfunny department but none is as ugly as DL nor - far as I know - bedded staff members (with a wife and child at home).

Agree with the poster above. Baraco Bama will be needing another job soon. Does ´ok´ with a teleprompter and thinks he is funny. He would be sensational in putting his viewers to sleep...those who bothered to watch. Oh, he thinks he can sing, too. Just tell him he could be king and have him advertise Imperial butter nightly on his show. He was born to play that role.

Marvel Entertainment announced on ABC talk show “The View” that Thor, the God of Thunder himself, is no longer worthy of wielding Mjolnir, the mystical Asgardian hammer. A woman — not yet identified — will now wield it, and that means we’re getting a female Thor. How did Thor become unworthy? Did he lie? Did he abandon his morals? He must have. “Only those of sound moral character and integrity may lift Mjolnir,” according to the Marvel Universe wiki. Without it, as we saw in the 2011 Marvel movie “Thor,” he loses much of his strength. Whoever wields the practically

Texas lawmakers responsible for redistricting the state’s legislative boundaries discriminated against Hispanic voters and tried to protect Republican incumbents, the U.S. Justice Department argued in a federal court in San Antonio on Monday. The redistricting efforts under fire are the state’s 2011 U.S. and state House districts, which were already thrown out by federal judges in favor of a map that included more Democratic-leaning districts, according to the Associated Press. Attorneys for the state denied the accusations during remarks for the case, arguing there was no concerted effort to discriminate and boundaries were drawn the best they could considering they

House GOP linking trafficking

House GOP leaders on Tuesday said they will insist that changes to a human trafficking law be included in any legislation responding to the wave of child immigrants crossing the border. Republicans have blamed the influx of children at the border on the 2008 law, which they say has served as an incentive for people to enter the United States. The law allows minors entering the country from Central America, but not Mexico, to request asylum hearings. President Obama has asked for $3.7 billion in emergency supplemental appropriations to care for people crossing the border, and to hire more judges
