One year after opening, South Wind
clinic reports providing 1,200 abortions

Wichita Eagle [KS], by Deb Gruver

Original Article

South Wind Women’s Center says it provided about 1,200 abortions in its first year. The center opened a year ago in the same building where Wichita doctor George Tiller provided abortions before Scott Roeder murdered him in church in 2009. No clinic offered abortions in Wichita after Tiller died until South Wind opened. South Wind said it has seen a total of about 1,500 patients for reproductive care, including abortions up to 14 weeks. Patients have come from across the state and from a few other states, such as Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Patient numbers are “right in line with our projections,” said Julie

Sick.......just sick. One photo shows the abortionist standing in the "recovery room". There is NO recovery from an abortion. Anyone who is on facebook can post replies. The Eagle articles are usually flooded with left-wing nut replies.

So, 80% of their "patients" are there to kill their babies and that is "... right in line with our projections...."? They must be overjoyed. Oh, how God will judge this nation for tolerating this.

I´m sure they will say it isn´t about the money, but about helping those poor unfortunate women who have been denied ´reproductive health´. Trust me. It´s about the money.

It has been 150 years since the slavery of black humans was outlawed and dark skin was legally considered less than human. Substitute fetus, embryo, and unborn with darky, field hand , n1&&$r and we are looking at the same hideous lapse of civility. By the way, this was the "law of the land", just like obamacare less and "cannot be repealed!" Sound familiar?

Black students at schools in Wichita and surrounding districts are disciplined at higher rates than their white peers, a trend that mirrors racial disparities throughout the country, according to the most comprehensive survey of school civil rights data in nearly 15 years. The findings, part of an expansive survey of America’s public schools by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, shows that black students are more likely than whites to be suspended or expelled at middle and high schools in Wichita and most area districts. Education officials say it’s difficult to pinpoint reasons for the disparities. But

TOPEKA — A bill that nullifies local government control over guns shot through the House and to the governor’s desk in the waning hours of the regular session Saturday. House Bill 2578 would prohibit cities and counties from passing or enforcing any ordinance regulating the “purchase, transfer, ownership, storage, carrying, or transporting of firearms, ammunition, or any related component.” It would also ban local units of government from inquiring whether an employee has a permit to carry a concealed weapon. If the governor sign the bill into law, counties and cities could bar municipal employees from carrying weapons in work vehicles and from

That’s why, if we want to restore a free society and create greater well-being and opportunity for all Americans, we have no choice but to fight for those principles. TOPEKA — The Senate voted to halt state spending on Common Core on Thursday night, during debate over a court-ordered fix for funding inequities between school districts. It went on to pass a school finance bill that provides more money for local option budgets if voters approve and removes administrative due process for public school teachers. Senators gave the bill final passage 23-17 a little after 1:30 a.m. Friday. The House will consider its own school finance bill Friday after its budget committee restored cuts to virtual schools, transportation and at-risk funds late Thursday. Sen. Forrest Knox, R-Altoona, introduced an amendment early in the

Kansas Republican lawmakers have advanced a bill aimed at separating Kansas from the federal Affordable Care Act. And one to indefinitely stop Kansas from expanding Medicaid under the act. And one to require background checks for counselors who help consumers navigate the online insurance marketplace. They have held hearings about lawsuits against the health care act and its impact on businesses. And they use “Obamacare” as shorthand to explain their opposition to unrelated issues such as mortgage registration fees or Common Core education standards. Republicans say their intent is to protect Kansans from a flawed law. But Democrats say the GOP is focusing on a

A judge in Wichita has ordered a federal commission to enforce Kansas and Arizona laws requiring documents such as a birth certificate proving citizenship for new voters. U.S. District Judge Eric Melgren ordered the Election Assistance Commission to immediately add Kansas- and Arizona-specific instructions to the federal voter registration form. Those instructions will say that new registrants will have to provide documents proving citizenship before they are allowed to vote, as required by state law. For most people, that means either a birth certificate or passport.

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say. In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

A crowd of 300 angry protestors forced three buses carrying 140 undocumented migrant children and their parents to turn around in Murrieta, California, on Tuesday after they blocked the road. The dramatic confrontation between the flag waving protestors and the Homeland Security buses came one day after Mayor Alan Long urged residents to resist the federal government´s plan to transfer the Central American migrants to California to ease overcrowding of facilities along the Texas-Mexico border. Holding up banners that said ´Return to Sender´ and suggesting the children should be sent to the White House instead, the irate protestors succeeded when the buses

This past week, Fox News, Megyn Kelly, and Dinesh D’Souza gave a platform to an entity that hates America and our way of life. Seems the prospect of smokin’ out a snake like Bill Ayers was too good to pass up. Getting an exclusive one-on-one with a crazy, violent communist with a small c was quite a coup for Kelly and D’Souza...or was it? Since lying and deceit generally benefit the liar, we have to ask, ”What was in it for Bill Ayers?” A mea culpa for past crimes? Hardly. After listening to Ayers, we must conclude: once a psychopath, always a psychopath.

President Obama’s displeasure with gridlock in Washington — and with the Republicans he blames for it — has been rising for months. This week it has boiled over. From the Rose Garden to the Cabinet Room to near the Key Bridge in Georgetown, the president has signaled more than mere annoyance at the state of affairs at the halfway point of this year. His disdain for congressional Republicans has steadily increased; his disrespect for their tactics has hardened into contempt. With immigration reform dead for this year, if not for the remainder of Obama’s presidency; with House Speaker John A.

Higher education is no longer just for kids in the top quarter or the top half of the class. College is for everyone," First lady Michelle Obama told a gathering of school counselors in Florida on Tuesday. "Every student in this country needs some higher education, whether that´s two-year degree, a four-year degree, or professional training of some sort." Mrs. Obama went to the annual meeting of the American School Counselor Association in Florida to thank counselors for taking on a demanding job without the resources necessary to meet the challenges. They, in turn, made her an honorary school counselor.

Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to President Barack Obama, has a unique item of herself in her office: a photo of herself with three figurines bowing down in worship in front of it. The photo drew attention after Jarrett´s "Meet the Press" interview Sunday — and Jarrett posted a tweet Tuesday afternoon assuring her supporters the display was simply a novelty item. "Don´t worry friends, it was a gag gift," Jarrett wrote, pivoting to some White House messaging about the economy. The White House is not planning to reassess its strategy for handling thousands of unaccompanied minors streaming across the border amid mass protests. White House press secretary Josh Earnest said he had not spoken to President Obama about protests in California that blocked buses full of immigrant detainees from reaching a processing station. But Earnest said there was no expectation of changing strategies to deal with the flood of minors "at this point.” "At this point, what we´re focused on is making sure that we can ramp up the resources that are necessary to meet this growing need," Earnest said. The threat of them was an infuriating and exhilarating specter throughout the weekend, a symbol of the oppression facing the men’s rights activists who had gathered to meet for their inaugural conference. The Obama administration is not too concerned about possible Republican responses to its unilateral administrative actions on immigration. “What that they might sue?” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said laughing when asked Tuesday about possible Republican retaliation for the executive action. “They announced they were doing that last week,” he continued. “So, the prospect that Republicans might do even more to try to obstruct the president’s agenda I think is a little far-fetched. It seems to me they have tried every single thing they can think of already to block progress for this country so the fact that they

Education: As we predicted, the Obama regime´s anti-suspension policy is backfiring. Los Angeles teachers complain unsuspended violent kids are intimidating them and effectively ruling their classrooms. In 2011, the Education Department accused the Los Angeles Unified School District of discriminating against black boys, who were suspended for bad behavior at a disproportionate rate. The agency ordered it to reduce suspensions in the hopes that unruly minority students would stay in school and graduate. "The district shall develop and implement a comprehensive plan to eliminate the disproportionality in the discipline imposed on African-American students," the five-page decree says.
