Weekly Standard, by John McCormack

Senate majority leader Harry Reid has a whole page on his official Senate.gov website devoted to revealing "THE FACTS ABOUT THE KOCH BROTHERS." One of the alleged facts promoted on Reid´s website is that the Kochs do not pay any corporate taxes: “They are known for bankrolling conservative, Libertarian and Tea Party causes and became poster boys for corporate tax reform last year when an Obama Administration official suggested Koch is organized as an S Corp. and so pays no corporate level taxes.” The claim that the Koch brothers don´t pay corporate income taxes was first made by former White House official

Reid claimed the same sort of nonsense about Romney, which even he knew was false.

He´s not insane, he´s just a liar.

Any lies that Dirty Harry may perpetrate against the Koch brothers while on the Senate floor is protected, and he cannot be sued for slander or libel.
I doubt that the same holds true for Harry´s lies on a Senate.gov website.
The Koch should sue his ax off.

I have information from a very reliable source that Harry Reid spent much of his youth in an insane asylum in Wyoming after contracting syphilis from one of the Nevada bordellos.

The only reason Harry Reid isn´t laughed out of Congress is that the MSM lets him get away with it.

We need to keep close score of these incidents and cram them into the face of the Media when liberals fall out of power. Not just cram them, but harp loudly how the Media lost their credibility by letting him and others get away with it.

Perhaps they do have a S corp. Nothing wrong with that. S Corps are for a small group of people, often relatives, that want to have a corporate shield but not have so much paper work. The profits flow directly to the share holders and they pay taxes on them as income. Often the share holders are employees so they pay income taxes and social security taxes on their salaries. I don´t understand why any of that is a problem.

President Obama has quietly promised Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren complete support if she runs for president — a stinging rebuke to his nemesis Hillary Clinton, sources tell me. Publicly, Obama has remained noncommittal on the 2016 race, but privately he worries that Clinton would undo and undermine many of his policies. There’s also a personal animosity, especially with Bill Clinton, that dates from their tough race six years ago. A former Harvard law professor and administration aide, Warren would energize the left wing of the Democrat Party just as Obama did against Clinton in 2008. You’ll have a hard time finding any mention of it in the left-wing mainstream media, but last Saturday former U.S. President James Earl Carter flew into the northern Russian city of Murmansk on a Gulfstream private jet for a little luxury fishing expedition (Russian-language link). It seems Mr. Carter would like to do all he can to legitimize Russian aggression in Ukraine, and if he can combine doing so with a gold-plated vacay, so much the better. At almost the same moment, Ukrainian government troops were triumphantly raising the national flag over City Hall in the Eastern Ukraine city of Slaviansk,

MURRIETA, Calif. — Suddenly, this city in the desert has become the place that turned away the immigrants. When the three busloads of immigrant mothers and children rolled into town for processing at a Border Patrol station this week, they were met by protesters carrying American flags and signs proclaiming “return to sender” as they screamed “go home” and chanted “U.S.A.” Fearing for the safety of the migrants and federal officers, immigration officials decided to reroute the buses to San Diego, an hour south. The Declaration of Independence is the birth certificate of the American nation—the first public document ever to use the name "the United States of America"—and has been fundamental to American history longer than any other text. It enshrined what came to be seen as the most succinct and memorable statement of the ideals on which the U.S. was founded: the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; the consent of the governed; and resistance to tyranny. But the Declaration´s influence wasn´t limited to the American colonies of the late 18th century. No American document has had a greater impact

Patience and reliability are the defining characteristics of successful leadership in the Senate. Good Senate majority leaders work through the rules of the Senate, which protect minority rights, to find a way to please a majority (or possibly a supermajority) of senators and move legislation and nominations to passage. They keep their commitments to open debate, even when their partisan colleagues would prefer to use simple majority power to crush the minority and avoid tough votes or compromises. The Senate once prided itself on being “the world’s greatest deliberative body.” That it no longer is. According to the Congressional Research Service,
