Republican elites felled
by horrible new sickness:
Jeb Bush fever!

Salon, by Joan Walsh

Original Article

Can the Republican Party base catch Jeb Bush fever? They may have no choice. According to the Washington Post’s Philip Rucker and Robert Costa, GOP donors panicked over Gov. Chris Christie’s implosion are going all out to draft the long-ago Florida governor to run for president in 2016. Jeb Bush is certainly tanned and rested, if not ready: He left the governor’s office in 2006, and has done little since then besides work for disgraced and defunct Lehman Brothers and write a book that reversed his once progressive stance on immigration reform. Rucker and Costa quote a former Mitt Romney bundler

I think I know what is going on. This is a scheme to give the dims an over-confident feeling that 2016 will be a cake walk. That´s right, make them think the GOP is going to run Jeb and let the dims think they´ve already won it.

Yup, the GOP is sooo clever. But they don´t fool me!

The liberal Democrat politicos and their media allies have figured out how to demonize Republican politicians with the name Bush, they already got Obama elected twice by doing that. This new Bush will probably be dead meat before he ever gets off his rocking chair just as happened with Romney.

Jeb´sbig thing is uducation but heonly real way to fix that is ban left wing indoctrination from all publicly supported schools.Of course the left would whine about academic freedom but that´s not what it´s about. The left is thinking long term to never stop having a parade of feckless, non productive people leaving the school system.Just look at students from American University who can´t name one senator, probably not even their own.Civics is too traditional and reaffirms the Constitution,so that´s out.

Jeb and Romney could do the nuts and bolts of the job but they´re not hardcore activists or reformers. They won´t challenge the status quo.

American voters are angry with both the White House and Republican lawmakers for their bungled handling of the growing crisis on the border between the U.S. and Mexico, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. The survey, which was conducted from July 9-13 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points, found that 58 percent of survey respondents disapprove of President Obama´s handling of the sudden surge of unaccompanied minors who have flooded the border. And of the self-identified Latino adults surveyed in the report, 54 percent say they are definitely unhappy with the White House´s

Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey will make his most significant and elaborate return to the presidential arena this week amid indications that, despite his tribulations, his political standing has stabilized and his advisers see a possible path to the Republican nomination in 2016. Mr. Christie’s three-city swing through Iowa, the first state to have a say on the presidential race, will represent a highly public resumption of his White House ambitions after six months of scandal. It was deliberately constructed to showcase what his advisers believe distinguishes him from the emerging Republican field: his personality and ability to interact spontaneously

Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham endorsed Joe Carr, the Republican Senate challenger to Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), as a new poll shows that he is gaining significant support in his campaign. A new poll conducted by Triton Polling, shows that Carr has jumped sixteen points in his race against Alexander in Tennessee since May. Alexander now leads Carr 43-36 percent. The results show that 6.7 percent of voters chose long shot candidate George Flinn, four percent chose another candidate and 10.1 percent were not sure. In May the same poll showed Alexander leading by 44-20.

What do we need to turn our country around? Well, for starters, we need a president who stops getting his energy policies from Hollywood movies — and Hollywood liberals. Consider President Obama’s dithering when it comes to approving the Keystone XL pipeline. First proposed in 2008, this massive infrastructure project would bring low-cost crude oil from fields in Canada southward to the United States. Despite nearly six years of government reviews — and nearly four dozen oil and gas pipelines already safely operating between the U.S. and Canada — the Obama administration and the State Department still have not approved the

Whenever the subject of politics and religion comes up, some individuals wish to believe that the two are not connected. Yet, many people are concerned with the speed of America’s moral collapse. Throughout both the bible and world history, the two have collided (wars were fought over religion). When the Kings and Judges in the bible were godly, the people and the land flourished. On the other hand, the evil kings and judges brought famine and destruction upon the people and the land (does any of this sound familiar?) Dr. Ben Carson once made the observation that “political correctness” acts as a “muzzle” to quell legitimate dissent against the status quo. That is undoubtedly a true statement. But to drive in the stakes and build our intellectual ramparts on this point is little more than ceding coveted ground in an argument against a completely unfounded doctrine that presents falsehoods as facts. There is a more fundamental observation upon which we can mount our legitimate defense against the doctrine of “political correctness,” and it lies in the simplest inspection of the phrase “politically correct.” Inherent in those two words’ juxtaposition is
