Obama Told Military Leaders:
Accept Gays In Military Or
Step Down, Admiral Says

BuzzFeed.com, by Ellie Hall

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 3/31/2014 8:00:05 PM

In a meeting with the heads of the five service branches in 2010, President Obama offered the leaders a choice: Support my efforts to end the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, or resign. In a video obtained by BuzzFeed via a Freedom of Information Act request, Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp revealed that Obama was unwilling to compromise with service leaders over DADT during a meeting in 2010. “We were called into the Oval Office and President Obama looked all five service chiefs in the eye and said, ‘This is what I want to do.’ I cannot divulge everything

Comments:
Obama is the most contemptible, odious individual I have ever seen as president of this country. He is an out of control megalomaniac who is drunk with power.

If they cared about their troops, all five of them would have resigned and given a press conference announcing the reason for their joint resignation.

But they didn´t, did they?

I´m sure the same conversation occurred regarding women on the battlefield.

How do they look themselves in the mirror?

Fully agree with #1. Also, with a deteriorating military, there seems to be NOT ONE man of honor willing to hold a press conference and tell the truth for those still serving.

What a slimy bastid Obama is.
FTA: "In a 2008 interview, then-Senator Obama told The Advocate that he wouldn’t make support of DADt’s repeal “a litmus test” for his military leaders. “What I want are members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who are making decisions based on what strengthens our military and what is going to make us safer, not ideology.”
Nothing but lies, lies, lies.
2016 can´t come soon enough. I hope there will still be a USA then.

If any of those service heads had valued the defense of his country and the morale of the service branch he led over his own personal career, he would have told Obama "screw you, fire me," and held a press conference if he lost his position over it. But none did, did they? And none have spoken up until now, have they? I´d say there is some serious competition here for the title "contemptible, odious individual." Each one of them sold out his service, and America, for his pension. What else have they sold? We now know they come pretty cheap.

This country will end up splitting and revolting against the oppressive Federal government. Not sure when but there is too much of a divide for the union to stand. The blue states are in decline, the red states have resources and are growing; how long will the red states put up with the increasingly dictatorial power from DC? How will the military split? The poobahs will side with Washington but most others are conservative and probably come from a red state. They would side with the rebels. Is my imagination too fevered?

#19, Well said. Our institutions of freedom are being destroyed by Obama. It has been a long time coming but they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. This is why they are so strident and offensive in their language and in your face. They believe they have won. God help us. The government is primed to attack its own citizens. Where is the honor that has been a stalwart principle in our Armed Services? I have heard rumors that the administration was asking leaders in the military if they could fire on American citizens. Doesn´t seem so far fetched to me now as I read this news story, but I have to say, I am worried about their answer.

There has been many Posters above, which are very critical of our top military leaders...and I agree with them.

However, we need not forget the roll of the MSM in this matter. Again, if they had done their job, for any real length time over the last six years, these unabated assaults on our nation wouldn´t have happened or they would have been stopped. These Military Leaders couldn´t count on the MSM to even report on their position in this matter and if they did it report them, the chances are, more than likely, they would have been distorted against them.

The MSM is the left´s most powerful weapon against our Republic.

I imagine he has done the same enacting Obamacare. He threatened insurance companies we know.
He most likely does the same with business leaders when they are called into the WH.
How would you like the full power of the WH coming after your business after watching our attorney General in action?

The general´s not-so-cryptic remark beginning: "I cannot divulge everything..." is the part where they were asked if they would fire on American citizens, should same rise up and assert their unalienable rights. He knew revealing that would get him killed, ASAP. The DADT thing, he was cool with, so no prob revealing that.

What will it take for the House of Representatives to issue Articles of Impeachment? Our country won´t stand for very long if our military is weakened.

Unfortunately, our politicians in DC are much like the high command of the military - they are more worried about losing power and/or their pension/career than they are about upholding the Constitution and the country.

IMO, what is really preventing politicians and the military from acting is one word they fear most - "racist". Both groups, I believe, are so afraid the MSM might brand them as racists that they are paralyzed from acting in the best interest of the country.

It is way past time to put that kind of nonsense behind us. We´ve more than proved that America is diverse, but we didn´t expect to get a destroyer of our Constitution in the bargain.

Let me start off that our military is the best in the world bar none. It is pathetic that we have a pResident who has among other things been one of the most despicable and destructive CinCs to ever inhabit the White House. He cares less for our brave men and women less so than Karter and BJ Clinton ever did. For him to tell the top brass this was beyond reckless. That being said the top brass for the most part were just worried about keeping their jobs in my opinion instead of being men of honor. It was often said once you become a 4 star you become a politician in uniform. With everything that Odumbo has done to a military that he doesn´t and will never understand is it any wonder that nations like Russia and North Korea no longer fear us.

It makes me wonder if Putin has taken his anti-gay stance after watching the US denigrate itself for political correctness. Men will develop a strong bond of brotherhood and will embrace each other’s bodies in combat, in celebration, and in consoling, but when it comes to sex – it’s not natural.

I grew up with nine sisters and two brothers. My sisters regard the brothers as homophobic because we’re uncomfortable around gay men. They find gays as funny, creative, and harmless, but oddly enough, they feel uncomfortable around lesbians. They’re OK with them on TV, like Ellen and Rosie, but not so much in person. For the life of me, I can’t break through that glitch in their logic – they justify their double standard by claiming that they just don’t like that individual lesbian they’ve met in person – every time.

Now our society is being bullied into accepting many things that our gut says is wrong and as a whole, we elect representatives that push those agendas. Other than limited outlets on radio, FNC, and this site, I didn’t see any hue and cry against abolishing DADT that would make me think career military should give up their future security in protest. It’s our job to manage the civilian portion of the deal and we haven’t come through. Political correctness has been keeping the silent majority silent. It’s time we speak out.

I´m sorry, but plenty of people DO put their jobs and careers and 401(k)´s on the line and refuse to do what they believe is wrong. It´s the teacher who refuses to change a grade for a politician´s son, a construction worker who refuses to cut a corner when ordered to, a mechanic who refuses to do unnecessary work, a Christian minister who refuses an order to marry a homosexual couple, or an analyst who blows the whistle on rampant illegal front-running in the markets. Honest dedicated people with integrity every day do things that are NOT in their own personal financial best interests because they are committed to a higher ideal. And yes, so have I. Perhaps that is out of style.

As we all feel we are living in a Twilight Zone reprieve of 1938, remember that professional German military officers eventually attempted to take out Hitler. They were unsuccessful, but the attempt was made.

Last night on Fox News´ Special Report, Kirsten Powers made the case that the kids arriving on the border shouldn´t be treated as illegal immigrants but as refugees. Powers apparently went to the border and talked to some of the kids there and reports they had some harrowing stories of the reasons they made the dangerous journey through Mexico to America. I suspect Powers is right that if more Americans could hear the stories these kids are telling fewer of them would clamor for these kids to be sent home. President Obama probably miscalculated when he refused to go to

Virtually every key House Republican, from Speaker John Boehner on down, has vowed to oppose a conference committee with the Senate´s immigration bill passed last year. And lawmakers working to craft legislation to address the tens of thousands of children streaming across the southern U.S. border say it won´t touch citizenship for illegal aliens, increased visas, or any other topics than border security. But a key veteran of the immigration wars on Capitol Hill is warning that legislation to amend a 2008 law being cited for cumbersome, years-long deportations would theoretically open the door to a conference committee on the controversial

HOUSTON, Texas--Despite the border crisis that involves more than 1,000 illegal immigrants entering the country each day, Texas Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee apparently believes the U.S.-Mexico border is "under control." On MSNBC she recently said, "I disagree it is in devastating condition. I think with now 21,000 border patrol agents it is under control." She added that Border Patrol agents told her that "they are able to do their job, even though they had been called into service to change diapers and make formula."

Obama’s legacy may be a

President Obama’s defiant emphasis on executive action reveals a larger failure looming for his legacy: His inability to work with Republicans means that he’s unlikely to score even one significant legislative achievement over the final years of his presidency. Unless Democrats win back the House and hold onto the Senate in November, a scenario dismissed by most political analysts, Mr. Obama has said goodbye long ago to his biggest accomplishments in Congress. They occurred back in 2010, when Democrats controlled the House and Senate, and Mr. Obama signed into law Obamacare, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform act and a two-year extension

A prominent law professor and avowed supporter of the Obama White House will tell the House on Wednesday that the president has created one of the biggest constitutional crises in the country’s history and will endorse House Republicans’ effort to sue to rein him in. Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University, will say President Obama is trampling the founders’ vision for the country in his push to circumvent Congress, and he will demand Republicans and Democrats alike forget their party labels to unify against this White House’s power grab. “What we are witnessing today is one of the

Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., is probably the most libertarian member of the U.S. House, which means he´s made some enemies on K Street. They are funding his primary opponent, Brian Ellis. The latest campaign filing from Ellis´s campaign shows some of the business interests that want Amash gone. Some highlights: PACs: Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Michigan, $2,500 Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America, $2,000 Association For Advanced Life Underwriting, $5,000 The Dow Chemical Company, $5,000 National Association of Home Builders, $5,000 Business Industry Political Action Committee, $2,000 Michigan Beer & Wine Wholesalers Assoc., $1,000 Michigan Chamber of Commerce, $2,000 Food Marketing Institute, $2,500 Lobbyists: Former John Boehner aide, current American Express

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., on Tuesday blamed last October´s government shutdown on Republicans wanting to deny women access to birth control. No really. Warren said this on the Senate floor while defending the Democrats´ deceptively titled “Women´s Health Protection Act.” “Remember last year´s government shutdown that nearly tanked our economy?” Warren asked. “That fight started with a GOP effort to hold the whole operation of the federal government hostage in order to try to force Democrats and the president to let employers deny workers access to birth control.” Um, no, sorry. The government shutdown occurred over a continuing resolution to fund the government

News 12 New Jersey reporter Sean Bergin has reportedly been suspended for comments he made on-the-air Sunday evening about the black community. After reporting on a suspect in the fatal shooting of Jersey City police officer Melvin Santiago, Bergin told his viewers that News 12 was “besieged” with phone calls from police officials “furious that we would give media coverage to the life of a cop killer.” Those complaints were “understandable,” Bergin said. “We decided to air it because it’s important to shine a light on the anti-cop mentality that has so contaminated America’s inner cities.” He then made the

Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer isn’t so sure Democratic Sen. Harry Reid is on his medication. Krauthammer speculated on Reid’s mental health on “Special Report with Bret Baier” Tuesday night. The panel, including Baier and Fox News contributor Mara Liasson, was discussing the influx of illegal immigrants — mostly women and children — flooding over the southern border. Liasson explained that President Obama has always said he “wanted the flexibility to treat kids from Central America the same as Mexico” but never explicitly asked Congress to change the Bush-era 2008 sex trafficking law. “He wanted Congress to go first,” she said.

He said he’d had “lengthy conversations” with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif over the past few days “about what Iran is willing

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
