Political hunt for sex abusers puts
military justice in peril, lawyers say

Washington Times, by Rowan Scarborough

The push from the commander in chief, generals and politicians to punish sexual offenders has become so relentless that it endangers the fairness of the military justice system, defense lawyers say. They worry that a cacophony of public statements vouching for accusers and demanding justice can sway military judges and jurors who are trained to take lawful orders. A military judge already has ruled that “unlawful command influence” infected the infamous case of an Army general charged with a string of sex offenses. “I think it’s troublesome when you have the president and the secretary of defense making certain pronouncements about what’s to

This is all part of Obama´s leftwing plan to weaken our military.
First, allow gays to openly serve in the military, then allow them to marry as well. Next, allow women in combat roles, intermixed with males, to create a situation ripe for sexual misconduct. Now, it seems that transsexuals are the next thing.
Fire or forcibly retire any competent senior officers wh aren´t with Obama´s program.
If we survive until 2016, it will take 10-15 years for a conservative President to undo the damage caused by Obama and the Left.

Splain it to one who has been there.

There needs top be some new way of describing the crime of cajoling your girlfriend/sex-partner into having sex while drunk when she is not really interested. This is a different crime than going out on the streets of Okinawa, chasing a girl home and raping her. The later crime merits hanging. The former merits a dishonorable discharge for both parties.

The only case I am personally aware of was worse than you immagine.

A young woman was roofied by a flight crew at a bar on base and assaulted repeatedly.

One of the crew came forward and confessed what happened. And, the base commander had him transferred to Alaska (not kidding) and explained to the woman in no uncertain terms that the rape did not happen and she ´asked for it for drinking at the base bar.´

This happened last year.

Amen #2, and it isn´t just sexual assault. The race grievance industry operates the same way. Senior officers are scared to death of anything smacking of racism, so a specious charge is generally the same as a guilty sentence. Been there, done that.

Why Obama won´t take
strong action in border crisis

Does President Obama want to solve the border crisis? It depends on what the meaning of "solve" is. The president says a majority of the tens of thousands of families and unaccompanied children flooding across the southwestern border will be returned to their home countries. But his actions suggest that won´t really happen. Most of Obama´s $3.7 billion border crisis spending request will go to the "care, feeding, and transportation costs of unaccompanied children and family groups," according to a statement to Congress by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson. Even some of the costs that appear to be slated for the

Nineteen terrifying words from the Omaha World-Herald: The U.S. Department of Justice has joined the discussions over a controversial float in the Norfolk Independence Day parade. Thus did the federal government dispatch an emissary to investigate a minor instance of Midwestern dissent. A quick recap for the happily uninitiated: The “controversial float” in question was one of many included in this year’s Independence Day parade in Norfolk, Neb. The entry, which featured a zombie standing on an outhouse marked “Obama Presidential Library,” was created by a veteran named Dale Remmich, and was designed, Remmich claims, to express the “political disgust” that he feels

The Democrats owe a growing debt to the Republican red-hots pursuing the fantasy of impeaching Barack Obama. They’re collecting a lot of cash — probably not as much as they claim, but a lot — from the naive and excitable folks in the Democratic base. Outrage is easily convertible to cash, as every bagman knows, and the Republicans should get a cut of it. Fair is fair. Sarah Palin, who as a former governor knows better than to confuse hoping with doing, is leading the baying hounds this week. She told an audience the other day that “the many impeachable offenses

The new California gold rush is a bit, well, nutty: According to USDA predictions reported Monday, farmers will harvest a record 2.1 billion pounds of almonds this year. That´s great news for almond-lovers, but not-so-great news for California, which produces 80 percent of the world´s almonds. A single almond requires 1.1 gallons of water to produce, and seeing as the state is currently in the middle of a devastating drought, that´s water farmers have to drill deep for – 2,500 feet deep, in fact. So why keep almond groves around? Because the U.S. and Asia´s demand for the nuts is skyrocketing. Between

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that

The Obama administration long ago cultivated a sense among its defenders that lingering American racism inspires most of its critics, but it was Obama’s supporters in the press who elevated the practice of accusing conservatives of racial animus to farcical virtuosity. It was Obama’s boosters in the liberal blogosphere, many of whom found microphones for their agitation on networks like MSNBC, who invented the art of detecting “dog whistle” racism. For those unfamiliar, this is the ability to decode supposed appeals to racial solidarity that only a professional can ascertain. While these coded claims are rarely perceived by their alleged

Hillary Clinton already wears the mantle of presumptive nominee for president. She´s an accomplished lawyer, a member of Walmart´s board of directors, a close adviser to her husband when he was president, a two-term senator from New York, and secretary of state. And yet, she is a horrible politician. So far, she has been able to sew up lots of Democratic money and support, and build an organization without actually beginning her campaign. She hasn´t even decided on running, but maintains the repose of someone awaiting her party´s coronation. That is a wise strategy. Consider that Clinton has run in three elections.

I spent a lot of time over the years, both as First Lady and U.S. secretary of state, thinking about ways to understand those differences. I hold firm to my opinion that tunnels are, by and large, designed for traveling beneath things. Bridges, by contrast, are designed for traveling above things. And, like many Americans, I still hold strong to that great belief. With tunnels and bridges, it’s not that the more you have of one the less

Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´." The Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, thinks that´s loco. (Technically, he said, "I disagree".) For Republicans hoping to avoid the kind of drama that might derail what looks to be a very good midterm election year, this kind of call is both a nuisance and a trend.
