YOKOHAMA, Japan — Climate change is already having sweeping effects on every continent and throughout the world’s oceans, scientists reported Monday, and they warned that the problem is likely to grow substantially worse unless greenhouse emissions are brought under control. The report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations group that periodically summarizes climate science, concluded that ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing, water supplies are coming under stress, heat waves and heavy rains are intensifying, coral reefs are dying, and fish and many other creatures are migrating toward the poles or

When will the left ever understand that the Science upon which they rely to support claims of global warming etc. has been shown to be fabricated and without any merit? But they keep on trying to peddle the notion in the hopes of striking pay dirt with big tax increases to finance the solution to a make believe problem.

Wouldn´t it be easier if we all reached the consensus that the world has indeed ended and that there is absolutely nothing more that we can do? This way, normal people could get on with their lives while the NY Times and its fellow cultists could spend all their time running photos of all the people who perished on the date selected to mark the end.

Would also allow ABC, CBS, CNN and NPR to run stories such as "Now that life on earth has ended, what will the Kardashians do for publicity" and "Obamas to vacation in Hawaii after solemn ceremony to mark end of planet"

As if they think that people will be more likely to believe them if their warning are louder and more extreme. Nope, sorry, they can´t resurrect their credibility that way. FTA: Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations group that periodically summarizes climate science, concluded that ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing

Real Life from March 2014: The Great Lakes have shattered records for the amount of ice cover remaining at this time of year. The ice cover in the arctic is only slightly below the median for this time of year and the ice in the antarctic has set records. Over all, the earths ice cover is unusually high. The IPCC looks for anomalies and continues to repeat them year after year, even when the anomalies have reversed themselves mysteriously in the intervening year.

Part of the EPA’s ‘corrective’ is controlling bovine emissions, likely via sharply curtailed production or astronomical fees levied on dairy farmers.

Result: PRICES of milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream, and products containing those ingredients will ROCKET.

Today Russia’s state-controlled energy company Gazprom announced it has raised its price of gas from $268.50 per 1,000 cubic meters to $385.50 per 1,000 cubic meters.

President Obama is “absolutely” the most transparent president in history, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Sunday after the White House received a letter from signed by a dozen top journalists’ groups complaining about the administration’s policies toward the media. “There are a number of steps that we´ve taken to give people greater insight into what´s happening at the White House,” Earnest said in an interview with CNN’s “Reliable Sources.” The letter, signed by the Society of Professional Journalists and the Poynter Institute, among others, accuses the White House of "politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies." Deep in the Bible Belt, new signs emerged this weekend of evolving views among Republican governors on gay marriage. While the Republican Party´s religious conservatives continue to fight against same-sex marriage, its governors appear to be backing off their opposition – in their rhetoric, at least. For some, the shift may be more a matter of tone than substance as the GOP tries to attract new voters ahead of the midterm elections. Nonetheless, it is a dramatic turn for a party that has long been defined by social conservative values. "I don´t think the Republican Party is fighting it," Wisconsin´s

The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. “Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. In theory, a red line might be located somewhere on a list of impeachable offenses – perhaps at the point where a certain number of transgressions is exceeded, or next to a specific instance because of its significance or impact. In reality, though, that red line exists along a spectrum of “political will.” As Andrew McCarthy explained: “You can have a thousand provable impeachable offenses, but before Congress may remove the president from power, there must be strong popular support – a public will that cuts across partisan and ideological lines.”
