Did Justice Kagan embarrass herself
during the Hobby Lobby oral arguments?

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 3/30/2014 9:41:50 AM

If Betsey McCaughey is correct (and I bet she is, because she has not only read the entire ObamaCare bill, she has written a book about it), Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan publicly humiliated herself during the oral arguments on the Hobby Lobby case, revealing that she either did not read the law, or failed to comprehend it if she did so. Writing in the New York Sun, McCaughey lays out what is wrong with the Justice’s declaration about Obamacare: she asserted that the statute itself mandates provision of birth control. Not one word in the Affordable Care Act guarantees health plans will cover birth control products.

It is well known that this so-called judge was involved in vetting the legislation PRIOR to its passage into law and that she refused to recuse herself from voting when it was before the Supreme Court. The end justifies the means
in her mind and this activist belongs OFF the court. She has the ethics of a snake, in my opinion.

What #4 said.
The more liberal a person gets the dumber and more stupid they become. They loose the thinking process for ideology to hell with right, wrong or truth. It´s just full bore ahead that´s how you get this cabal of misfits leading this country. There´s no thought process just blurt out words and think they sound smart and no one will notice.
We notice and know that Kagan is a total liberal puppet of Obama and shouldn´t even qualify as a Justice on the Supreme Court.

Kagan’s mistake, if that’s what it was, goes to the heart of a contemporary problem: the proliferation of bureaucratic regulation carrying the force of law, wholly produced not by legislation, but by bureaucrats.

That´s one of my biggest gripes with the Legislature - writing laws that leave loopholes big enough to drive a tank through for the unelected, political appointment little Caesars to issue regulations according to their own whims.

Insurance is NOT HEALTH CARE. It is about who pays.

A true insurance policy would have the policy holder pay their risk based share. Imagine a probability of claim multiplied by the cost of the claim.

Yet Obamacare is not even about who pays. Instead it is all about POWER.

Kagan starts with the mind set that federal agencies should control our lives and. to simplify their task, should have the ability to modify the statutes as needed to make their job easier. Her interruptions in Hobby Lobby were no different than her interruptions in the EPA Cross Border Pollution Rule or the EPA Green House Gas Rule cases. She simply doesn´t accept that a federal agency must be bound by the Constitution and the statutes that create them.

Of course she embarrassed herself. And like most other liberals, she will of course now try to brazen it out, pretending she was quoted out of context, or not misunderstood, or that she didn´t say what she said, or that the sun really does rise in the west. Anything but take responsibility for her words. The closest she may come is saying she "misspoke," an invented word that liberals in this low, dishonest decade have come to know well.

In the foyer of the Central Intelligence Agency’s headquarters, there is a marble wall covered in stars. They are carved divots that represent those who have fallen in the service of the CIA. Below them, jutting out from the polished rock, is a black book entombed in a case of glass and steel. The book is a guide to the stars, giving the names of some of those who died and withholding the names of others. On the pages of the CIA’s Book of Honor are 107 hand-drawn stars organized by the years those officers died. For 2007, there is

SO FAR Hamas’s military campaign against Israel has been a dismal failure. Thanks in part to Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile system, some 1,200 rockets fired at Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities have caused only one Israeli death and a few other casualties. Attempted commando attacks via the sea and a tunnel were stopped short, and a drone that ventured into Israel was quickly shot down. Yet Hamas on Tuesday rejected an Egyptian cease-fire proposal that was supported by Western governments and the Arab League and had been accepted by Israel. Why would Hamas insist on continuing the fight when

Sarah Palin is right about impeaching President Obama. No, not that the president should be impeached. But Palin is correct in arguing that, for those who assert that Obama has grievously abused his executive authority, impeachment is the proper course of action. Of course this won’t happen, for the obvious reason that this tactic didn’t go so well for Republicans last time. Hence House Speaker John Boehner’s curt dismissal of Palin’s call for impeachment: “I disagree.” Boehner’s alternative — a lawsuit — offers the political benefits of draining impeachment fever from the more rabid Republican precincts while rallying the base

Israel’s pledge to intensify its military operation in the Gaza Strip could hasten the moment when the Obama administration will be forced to decide whether to use its leverage to corral its closest ally in the Middle East. Israeli officials, in a series of television interviews, statements and social-media venues, said Tuesday that Hamas’s rejection of a cease-fire offer validated the force it has used over eight days of conflict and made legitimate their argument for a wider military effort. The Obama administration appeared to accept that rationale, blaming the armed Islamist movement in Gaza for missing an opportunity to
