For Whom The Tea Party Tolls
Daily Beast, by Ben Jacobs

Ralph Hall is the oldest person to sit in the House of Representatives in American history. The Texas Republican, who was born in the Harding Adminstration, was first elected to Congress in 1980 and has represented Northeast Texas´s 4th Congressionial District ever since. But his time on Capitol Hill may come to an abrupt end in Texas´s primary runoff on May 27th as conservatives sense blood in the water. It´s never a good sign for an incumbent to be held beneath 50% and forced into a runoff but that´s just what happened to Hall in his primary earlier this month. Attorney John Ratcliffe, who was endorsed by the Dallas Morning News,

Comments:
If he´s in my district, be glad to show ID and vote against him. At 91, Ralph Hall is way past his expiration date for Congress.

91 is too old for the fight to save our country. We need someone that is able to get to the office.

I can only imagine how big your ego must be to not recognize that at 91 it´s long past time to retire.

We not only need term limits but age limits as well.

#3 Ralph Hall has nothing else to do and wants to be active. He can´t imagine life without the House of Representatives and believes that seat is his until he dies. It´s sad, but there are a bunch of aging legislators who believe the same thing.

I understand the thoughts behind wanting term and age limits. What about sex limits or race limits, or education requirements, or military service requirements, ad infinitum. I don´t want my liberties infringed upon, I want to be able to vote for whom I wish.

Stolen uranium compounds not

Plenty of materials for a potential dirty bomb are likely scattered throughout the area of Iraq controlled by ISIS, and pulling off an attack that spreads even a minor amount of radiation could be a huge PR coup for the terror group, experts told FoxNews.com. Last week, the Iraqi government in Baghdad warned the UN that ISIS operatives had stolen 88 pounds of uranium compounds from Mosul University. Even though many experts said the research materials were not enough to cause widespread harm, spreading fear is even more important to terrorists than a big body count, one terrorism expert said.

Sunni radicals with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) may have captured as many as 52 U.S.-made M198 howitzers in their march across Iraq in June. “They shouldn’t have too much trouble shelling large area targets like a city if they have sufficient ammo,” Jeremy Binnie of the British military consultancy HIS Janes toldMcClatchy news service Monday. The artillery weapons, which cost roughly $500,000 each, include GPS aiming systems. Mr. Binnie told McClatchy that the Islamic terrorist organization would have a difficult time figuring out exactly how to use the technology’s pinpoint accuracy, but that members would still be able

Former Vice President Dick Cheney said that the Bush administration left Iraq in reasonably good shape, and blamed President Barack Obama for not getting a security agreement from Iraqi leader Nouri al-Maliki to keep some U.S. troops there after 2011 to help ensure stability. Sunni extremists have swept through parts of northern and central Iraq in recent weeks, exposing serious shortcomings in Iraqi security and governance. Obama has sent military advisers to assess the situation on the ground. Echoes of a Strongman in Baghdad Today

Baghdad - The ghost of Saddam Hussein still hangs over Iraq like a cloud stalking a sunny day; it doesn’t always cover the sun, but it never quite goes away. Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki’s slide into strongman territory in the years since American troops left has been well documented. His government and security forces have harassed Sunni Arabs with baseless arrests, or by keeping them in jail beyond their mandated terms. And for Sunni militants caught by the security forces, summary execution has become increasingly common. Even as his Shiite-dominated government has been condemned for abusing Sunnis, however,

It was two weeks before news was reported on the sole child death acknowledged by the Obama administration, Gilberto Ramos, a 15 year-old boy from Guatemala whose body was found in the Texas brush dead from the

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security.
