Media Matters inexplicably attacks Fox
News for using the term ‘homosexual’

Daily Caller, by Brendan Bordelon

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 3/25/2014 5:18:35 AM

Media Matters, the website of choice for Fox News haters everywhere, attacked the cable news network on Monday for using the term “homosexual” in its programming — advancing the peculiar argument that the scientific term has a “pejorative connotation.” The online “media watchdog” contends that calling gay people “homosexual” is “a practice that’s quickly falling out of favor with major news outlets due the term’s often pejorative connotation and frequent use by opponents of LGBT equality.” Fox News, they chide, “has yet to update its language when referring to gay and lesbian people.” Buttressing their argument? The left is relentless in their attack on FOX News. It apparently represents a viewpoint in society that must be silenced. The word police have gone too far. Their compulsion to change our vocabulary borders on the absurd. The permanently aggrieved must be appeased or they will viciously attack anyone who does not toe the politically correct line. It is time we pushed back. When we are tolerant of this kind of foolishness, we only enable them. Time to stand up to these bullies and put an end to their tyranny of language.

The word restrictions are everywhere and applicable to everything. I have a granddaughter who was born in China and adopted at just a few months old. I was chastised recently by a stranger for referring to her as "Oriental". The complaining woman told me the preferred description is "Asian". She was quite firm that the term "Oriental" can be considered offensive. Who knew? Certainly not I.

The next word to be banned by the left will be "heterosexual" because that implies a special privilege and that is not fair. Especially when it is used in the Biblical and historical context of marriage. These crazies at media matters will be used by hillary when she runs for President to destroy any Republican candidate with help from the msm. Hopefully the majority of us will ignore those fallacious attacks.

When I was young, a woman was said to be pg. How dare someone publicly use the word pregnant. To some, knocked up sounds better. Apparently the use of the word pregnant is acceptable, but homosexual is not. Presumably heterosexual is all right, as is bisexual. Apparently few today understand what homosexual means. As for transgender, that is clearly a made up word for a made up condition.

By all means let us avoid even obliquely mentioning what homosexuals actually do.

The fastest way to put an and to this nonsense is to tell the person who finds the word homosexual offensive that in deference to their tender sensibilities in their presence you will from now on only refer to them as sodomites.

This is but the latest chapter in Brock´s odyssey from right to left. Chapter 1 appeared in the July 1997 Esquire, under the headline "I Was A Right-Wing Hit Man." Accompanying the article was a staged photo of Brock tied to a tree, one nipple seductively exposed. The editors didn´t say whether he was waiting to be shot, or to nurse.

Look up "pervert" and "homosexual" in a dictionary. Then look up "queer" and "gay".
When the proper term for something is substituted for an improper term that means something else one would think there is something to be hidden.
What are they trying to hide?

As #9 asks: "If "Homosexual" is not okay what is okay, "Queer"?, "Abnormal"? I actually thought we had progressed to a sense of decorum with the word "homosexual" instead of what many of us used in my high school back in the 1950´s.

I am sure there was no intention of insensitivity on the part of Fox news. The young redefine which words are acceptable and do love to point out to us old folks that we are no longer relevant. In my lifetime I have been called out for using the words, Black, Special, Retarded, Spade, Oriental, Spanish, Negro, Moron, Crazy and Mongoloid. Often those words were not used in a sentence to describe people. Ignorance abounds and sometimes you just have to smile and resolve not to be irritated.

Federal employees, like all Americans, are entitled to hold passionate political beliefs. Most executive branch federal employees, however, may not engage in certain political activities, thanks to an anti-conflict of interest principle enshrined in a federal law called the Hatch Act. To wit, President Bush requested the resignation of his GSA administrator in 2008 after the US Office of Special Counsel determined she had violated federal law by participating in a video conference with Karl Rove and sending out partisan letters. That´s up from 5 percent in June, and is the highest number Gallup has registered for immigration since 2006, when 15 percent said it was the nation´s most pressing problem. Gallup’s new survey found immigration is virtually tied with “dissatisfaction with government” as the nation´s top problem. The economy and unemployment rank below immigration and “dissatisfaction with government" as top problems, the new poll found. How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums

John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the
