5 must-watch clips from the Sunday shows
Washington Post, by Wesley Lowery

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 3/23/2014 6:44:54 PM

This week´s Sunday shows were heavy on the ongoing search for Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 as well as the ongoing standoff between President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin over the annexation of Crimea. But there were plenty of other interesting segments as well, including some new analysis of the Republicans´ chances at taking control of the Senate in November (Snip) Mitt Romney on ´Face the Nation´: The 2012 GOP presidential nominee was sharply critical of President Obama´s handling of Russia, analyzed the United States´ international standing, and said -- again -- that he won´t run for president in

Comments:
The best part of the Sunday talk shows is to wait for the best clips from a given show. This was, morning free (to go to Church) and don´t have to listen to dRATS talking points between "fair & balanced" forums.

Standoff? Really? It ain´t no standoff when a man is standing tall and another person is kneeling and prevaricating.

Murrieta - Murrieta Border Patrol agents have begun using online communication services, including Skype, to continue to process illegal aliens held in Texas detention centers. Border Patrol sources told KFI Radio´s Steven Gregory that Murrieta agents can process up to 25 people per shift, depending on the amount of staff in the Texas facilities. It is not immediately known if the station´s shift in processing practices can be attributed to the protesters outside the Murrieta Border Patrol Station, who have succeeded in rerouting three rounds of buses full of illegal aliens to other facilities. On Thursday, illegal aliens, all of them women and children,

U.S. authorities have charged a Chinese businessman with hacking into the computer systems of U.S. companies with large defense contracts, including Boeing, to steal data on military projects, including some of the latest fighter jets, officials said Friday. Suspect Su Bin worked in cahoots with two unnamed Chinese hackers to get the data between 2009 and 2013, and Su attempted to sell some of the information to state-owned Chinese companies, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles that was unsealed Thursday. The men targeted fighter jets such as the F-22 and the F-35 as well as Boeing’s C-17 military cargo

GOP Keeps House Edge

Raleigh, NC - Democrats have long claimed that Republicans abused their legislative powers to elect a disproportionate number of U.S. House members. Now a Florida court is lending credence to their complaint. The full impact of the Florida ruling — plus a similar lawsuit pending in North Carolina — won’t be known for some while. For now, at least, they shine light on the fiercely partisan practice of gerrymandering, in which state officials draw congressional districts to help their party. Republicans and Democrats have engaged in gerrymandering for decades. Republicans refined the practice in 2011,

Dressed in a somber suit, Bogdan Mazur stood before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board this week and begged the panel not to tear his family apart. Portraying himself as an adoring father, the 53-year-old Oswego man was mostly met with befuddled looks from the four-member panel. In 2007, Mazur arranged for cocaine, marijuana and a .22 caliber handgun to be planted in the trunk of his estranged wife’s car — in a failed attempt to get her deported to her native Poland. Australian religious extremist Musa Cerantonio has been arrested in the Philippines after boasting he had travelled to the Middle East to join jihadists. The arrest of 29-year-old Melbourne-born Mr Cerantonio on the island of Cebu early Friday morning is a coup for Western intelligence agencies which have named him as one of the top two influential jihadist “inspirations” for fighters in Syria and Iraq. Mr Cerantonio had announced on Twitter earlier this month that he had made it successfully to the Levant – presumably either Syria or Iraq – after leaving the Philippines where he was believed to be in hiding.

What were they thinking? In the wake of last fall’s revelation that the National Security Agency had wiretapped German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s cell phone, the report of U.S. intelligence’s involvement in two other likely cases of spying on Germany is mind-boggling. (Snip) What was worth this risk? CIA and White House officials have said little to answer the question. But the fact that German industry has strong ties to both Russia and Iran may offer a clue. So economic and political intelligence about Germany’s contacts with those countries could be high on the list of potential U.S. intelligence targets.

California church handing out

A Catholic church in a California community has opened its doors to the influx of illegals making their way across the border, giving temporary shelter — and cash — to 46 of them who were waiting for bus rides to spots around the country. San Bernardino Diocese spokesman John Andres told Breitbart that the church handed out “travel cash” to 14 adults and 32 children who were headed east, specifically to New York or New Jersey. “The Catholic Church welcomed us,” an immigrant named Bianca told CBS’s Los Angeles affiliate. “We are here. We are OK.” The cash disbursements and church aid comes as protesters down the road

The Rev. Jesse Jackson criticized President Obama for putting unaccompanied alien children before Chicago, and argued that the federal government should award the Windy City $2 billion to help combat violence. “If we can find $4 billion for those children — and we should — we can find $2 billion for Chicago,” Mr. Jackson said, a CBS-affiliated radio station reported Wednesday. “There are more children involved, and more have been killed, and more have been shot,” he said. The reverend’s comments come after the White House asked Congress Tuesday for $3.7 billion to fund programs to deal with the influx

Has it been a “year of action” for President Obama? The White House has released a 42-page document boldly proclaiming "an update on what President Obama has done this year to help ensure opportunity for all Americans.” In reality, it’s a collection of spin, listing in a sugar-coated manner what the president has done for everyday Americans through executive orders, speeches, summits and meetings as well as things that would happen anyway. Out of the 45 “new actions to date” in the document, nearly all of them neatly demonstrate how Obama has maneuvered around Congress (his opponents will be thrilled) by using his executive powers,

New York - Chrysler says it is recalling 651,000 Jeep and Dodge SUVs in the U.S. because vanity mirror lights that have undergone repairs can short circuit and start a fire if not reassembled correctly. The recall is for certain 2011 to 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango models. Chrysler says it has seen the problem only in lighted sun visor mirrors that have been repaired. But as a precaution, it says the recall applies to all of the vehicles. The automaker says it knows of three injuries caused by the lighted mirror. Chrysler will contact customers and let them know when they can have the problem fixed.

Washington - Amazon wants to start flying their drones, moving from what some called a PR stunt, to a true delivery business. But to do that, they need to conduct test flights. Today, the company formally requested an exemption from Federal Aviation Administration rules that largely prohibit the use of drones for commercial purposes. The request was posted to Regulations.gov, the official government website for comments on regulatory matters. Amazon’s letter should draw attention to FAA regulations which to date have received very little official commentary from an industry still struggling to find its voice.

Nearly one year after he was acquitted in the February 2012 shooting death of unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin, 30-year-old Zimmerman is reportedly homeless, unemployed and broke - with less than $1,000 to his name. The sad details of Zimmerman´s life post-trial were revealed in court documents filed as he begins divorce proceedings with wife Shellie. President Obama on Thursday claimed he is “not that partisan of a guy” as he mocked calls in the Republican Party for his impeachment. The president spent much of his address in Austin, Texas, hammering congressional Republicans, saying they have "blocked or voted down every serious idea to strengthen the middle class." “I’m just telling the truth now," Obama said. "I don´t have to run for office again so I can just let her rip.” He teed off on Republicans such as Sarah Palin who have suggested in recent days that he be impeached, and dismissed Speaker John Boehner´s (R-Ohio) proposed lawsuit

Barack Obama may have lost a few approval rating points with this move. The president was seen cutting the line at Austin´s Franklin Barbecue Thursday afternoon, while in town to raise money for the Democratic Party. Bears, beer and horse heads: What exactly is going on with the leader of the free world? On a single day this week in Denver, President Obama scarfed down pizza and drinks with strangers, shot pool with Colorado’s governor and shook hands with a guy on the street wearing a horse mask. His top staffers are promoting these stops on Twitter with the hashtag #TheBearIsLoose — a term one of Obama’s aides coined in 2008 when the candidate would defy his schedule. More than five years into his presidency, Obama is trying to free himself from the constraints of office,

I saw this up close when she unfurled her bare right limb in front of me Thursday night, while the two of us were doing tapas at the jumping Barcelona on 14th Street NW.
