Probe into mystery call to captain of doomed
jet: Unknown woman used a fake ID when
buying phone to bypass security checks

The captain of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 received a two-minute call shortly before take-off from a mystery woman using a mobile phone number obtained under a false identity. It was one of the last calls made to or from the mobile of Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah in the hours before his Boeing 777 left Kuala Lumpur 16 days ago. Investigators are treating it as potentially significant because anyone buying a pay-as-you-go SIM card in Malaysia has to fill out a form giving their identity card or passport number. Introduced as an anti-terrorism measure following 9/11, this ensures that every number is registered

How do they know it was a woman? If they have a recording then they know what was said. I don´t get it, although I now know that Malaysia is a country full of Muzzie liars and total incompetents no matter what their religion.

The Mail said the call was made by a woman. Investigators only said the phone was purchased with a woman´s phony ID. They don´t know who used phone and made the call to the captain. Sloppy reporting by The Mail.

The traveller´s insurance pays less if it was a hijacking or terrorism (which pays nothing) vs a mechanical error or something technical that could have been prevented.

Please explain why, on two occasions now, China has presented Malaysia with satellite images, which Malaysia sat on for four days before releasing or acting upon. Long enough for any possible evidence of technical problems to sink, or wash away.

All the while, they demonize the pilot, who appeared to be nothing but upstanding and totally professional, dedicated to his job, and a Muslim. Not all Muslims are terrorists, yet, they win the money game if they make him out to be a monster, based on nothing but post 9/11 fears and prejudices.

If, and when, if ever, they have any solid, unmanufactured proof, then maybe I will listen and believe. Until then, they are grasping at straws to make this man look bad, and the only benefit is the Malaysian airline bank account.

As usual, follow the money.

It´s always about the money. They knew all about him prior to the flight, and he was fine then. But now, a demon? Not buying it. They are besmirching his reputation which he is obviously no longer here to defend.

Not verified but interesting:

I heard yesterday that both BOEING and ROLLS ROYCE have said they have "additional data" on the planes ACARS and engine signals, but are releasing the info only to the gov´t.

Perhaps it is known where the plane really is ?

If the captain and his wife were separated, then she should not be entitled to the "bereavement" exclusion from questioning on "cultural" sensitivity grounds.

She needs to talk, and soon.

Remember the pings that came from the aircraft and allowed a satellite to determine that the plane flew for 7 1/2 hours? Ever since we learned of them, I´ve wondered why they have only released maps that show where the Flight 370 might have been at the last ping.

Yesterday I came across a post at a site-that-shall-not-be-named and saw a map that shows the concentric circles for all the pings. I don´t know if the map is real or made up by somebody. But if you plot the plane along the ping circles, it either goes south to the place where they are looking for debris west of Australia. Or it goes northwest to Pakistan. Just something to think about.

Every Airline should install a second transponder in a hidden location on every single plane in the fleet. One that can´t be powered off by the pilot or crew.

I believe this plane is in the ocean somewhere. If it had landed it would have been spotted by now. It is way too large an object to be hidden for this long.

This plane is on the ground in some foreign country. The only question that remains is why. If it were terrorism, we´d already know about it as some group would have claimed responsibility. None has come forward as of yet and it´s past time for them to do so.

The passengers are most likely all dead. I hate to say it, but I believe they are. If by some chance they are still alive, then they´re being held captive. Once it came about their cell phones were still ringing, the perpetrators turned all the cell phones off. Rookie mistake.

I believe there are a couple of governments that know exactly where this plane is located. For whatever reason they are not divulging that information. Perhaps they are in negotiations and publicly acknowledging what is going on would jeopardize the situation.

Either way, both sides are running out of time on this subject. Details are bound to break soon. I hope all those people will be OK.

#9, if the plane had gone down in the ocean the salt water would have activated the black box electronic pinger. None of the search teams have picked that up yet, so I agree with #10 that the plane is still in one piece in a foreign country. The governments who know where it is are (hopefully) working out some secret plan to rescue any hostages and punish the hijackers.

This plane was tracked from the time the engines started until the engines stopped. There is a UK company that has 20 satellites that track all commercial flights. There is a sending box in the plane that crew and others can´t get to that constantly sends positional data to the nearest satellite. The signal is coded and registered to the individual plane.

When the engines start, the signals start. When the engines shut down, the signals stop. I wonder if any of the trash people are seeing is from the Japanese tidal wave awhile back.

Their incompetence is appalling ..or purposeful.
The Malaysians still haven´t interviewed Shah´s wife because it´s culturally insensitive .
They were separated , but, still lived together.
She´s had two weeks to get her story straight.
The phony SIM card is also interesting.
"The discovery raises fears of a possible link between Captain Zaharie, 53, and terror groups whose members routinely use untraceable SIM cards. "
How many commercial pilots get phone calls just before take off from someone using a fraudulent SIM card ?

All six have been approved for transfer for more than four years.
