My Great Idea For Making
Plain Girls Beautiful!

PJ Media, by Andrew Klavan

Original Article

One of the sillier effusions of pop political correctness is the attempt to bully the idea of female beauty out of the culture. Ceaseless attacks on Barbie dolls for giving girls unrealistic expectations (though, strange to say, Superman doesn’t do that to boys), or virtuous but likely ineffective campaigns to sell underwear with overweight models, not to mention the endless feminist maundering on the subject — it all seems part of yet another wearisome leftist attempt to change basic reality through thuggery, censorship and noisy protest. Good luck with that. Listen, I don’t complain that Ryan Gosling stole my part

Comments:
Recommended read for all the bossy, bitter feminists who really are just envious of attractive women who aren´t bossy, bitter feminists.

Ok, I´ll jump in. This is a worthy subject to discuss at LDot, and not just because of the current buzz about banishing "bossy". It´s a timeless question, and one that every woman wants an honest opinion of from men whose opinion they respect.

And I don´t believe that they really want to hear what we think is "beautiful." They know. No, what they really want to know is what is "subconsciously seductively attractive", as in...I know I´m not beautiful but what makes men (a) drawn irresistibly to me, (b) want me, and (c) ultimately want to stay with me.

Parts a and b are too easy. It´s part c that´s the life changer. Even some very beautiful women never learn. it.

So here it is...learn to be comfortable in your own skin and exude a positive energy. About yourself. About others. About newness.

Attractive women of whatever beauty or age don´t just have it, they radiate it.

#4 is correct. When adults are dating, both should be true to themselves. IF either one finds themselves acting "out of charactor" to behave in a way they perceive the other person wants them to behave..the relationship will not last.
Be yourself, not everyone will like you, but that´s OK. Stop looking for a soulmate, the soulmate will find you.

He´s also right about the actress who plays Mary in the current Sherlock series. As for being kinder and less bossy transforming bitter feminists, dream on.

Before I tell you my thoughts on the matter, you should know that you´re reading the opinion of an enthusiastic optimist: one of the few living souls in the music industry who still believes that the music industry is not dying…it´s just coming alive. There are many (many) people who predict the downfall of music sales and the irrelevancy of the album as an economic entity. I am not one of them. In my opinion, the value of an album is, and will continue to be, based on the amount of heart and soul an artist has bled into a

Since its birth in the 1920s with the first national radio networks, the modern MSM has always had a cozy relationship with power, and until the creation of Fox News, one channel on your TV dial or satellite guide, that power has almost exclusively meant their fellow Democrats. The media have long voted overwhelmingly Democrat in presidential elections; as Walter Cronkite once said at a Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner in the mid-1990s, in-between feting the Clintons on his yacht in Martha’s Vineyard, “Everybody knows that there’s a liberal, that there’s a heavy liberal persuasion among correspondents.” But in the

It’s not just Lois Lerner’s e-mails. The Internal Revenue Service says it can’t produce e-mails from six more employees involved in the targeting of conservative groups, according to two Republicans investigating the scandal. The IRS told Ways and Means chairman Dave Camp and subcommittee chairman Charles Boustany that computer crashes resulted in additional lost e-mails, including from Nikole Flax, the chief of staff to former IRS commissioner Steven Miller, who was fired in the wake of the targeting scandal. The revelation about Lerner’s e-mails rekindled the scandal and today’s news has further inflamed Republicans. Camp and Boustany are now demanding

Today’s liberalism is about as liberal as the Hellenistic world was Hellenic — a glossy veneer over a rotten core. In the old days, liberalism was about the means to an end, not the end itself. Since the days of Socrates, liberalism enshrined free inquiry, guided by inductive thinking and empirical use of data. Its enemies were not necessary organized religion — some of the Church fathers sought to find their salvation through the means of neo-Platonic cosmology and Aristotelian logic — or government or traditional custom and practice, but rather deductive thinking anywhere it was found. Yet today liberalism

Hey, William Goldman. You won’t be able to use Hoffman and Redford this time. They’re also, er, a little long in the tooth to play, say, Tommy Vietor. But there are a number of younger players out there. True it’s a culture war, not a physical conflict. But if you were waiting for the moment when the Cold Civil War actually begins, this might be it. Not that anyone should have been taken aback. After all, Larry Summers was sacked as president of Harvard following his criticism of Cornell West’s rap album and as a result of a 2005 speech in which he suggested that the under-representation

It was two weeks before news was reported on the sole child death acknowledged by the Obama administration, Gilberto Ramos, a 15 year-old boy from Guatemala whose body was found in the Texas brush dead from the

The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. Where is the red line of impeachment? In theory, a red line might be located somewhere on a list of impeachable offenses – perhaps at the point where a certain number of transgressions is exceeded, or next to a specific instance because of its significance or impact. In reality, though, that red line exists along a spectrum of “political will.” As Andrew McCarthy explained: “You can have a thousand provable impeachable offenses, but before Congress may remove the president from power, there must be strong popular support – a public will that cuts across partisan and ideological lines.”
