Jimmy Carter: Obama the Only President
So Far Not to Call Me for Advice

Mediaite, by Josh Feldman

Original Article

Jimmy Carter has been very active in the decades since his presidency, and his successors have occasionally called for his advice. Except, it turns out, the current occupant of the office. A clip from Carter’s upcoming Meet the Press interview reveals that President Obama is the first president since Carter left office not to solicit the Southern Democrat’s advice. Carter explained, “President Clinton did and President George W. Bush and H.W. Bush and even Ronald Reagan used to call on us to go into sensitive areas.” They all asked Carter to deal with “unsavory characters,” but Obama hasn’t reached out to

Comments:
I´m surprised that someone like Reagan would call that loser. It´s no surprise that Obama hasn´t called him, Obama the Omnificent knows all. Carter should be thankful he hasn´t called him.

Jimmy, even Øvomit knew you were the worst president of all time.

However, he should have called you. Because he clearly took the "worst president of all time" title away from you, and is making sure that he messes up this nation so badly that no future president will ever be able to be worse than him...

All but one President in my lifetime have been conscious enough of the honor of their office to have respect for other Presidents, however they may differ in ideas and beliefs.

That Reagan, for example, called Jimmy Carter does not surprise me. Ronald Reagan was a gracious, courteous man and knew that, to acknowledge Mr. Carter´s position in our country, he should find a reason to call him and discuss something. So he did. And, apparently, so have all Presidents since Carter (except Obama) called him. And likely each other.

Sometimes little things like that separate the United States from the crass thugs of the world.

Obama has never called Jimmy Carter, because Obama does not need any advice on how to be a terrible President. He´s going about that task just fine on his own, and in fact I believe Carter can now take comfort in the fact he is no longer the worst President this country has had the misfortune of living with.

The road to recovery begins in November.

and wasn´t Jimmy a Naval officer, with a scholastic track record - majored in physics - in the aftermath of the Chalk River nuclear reactor meltdown, he was one of the naval officers lowered down into the thing to dissamble it - I would like to see Mr. Community Organizer match that - even though Jimmy Carter made mistakes in the opinion of many (self included) - he at least did his homework and there is a record of that.

Why should Obama call any former president? He has Valerie Jarrett with whom he consults. He believes If the two of them can´t figure it out, no one else can. Their brainstorming must be a thing of beauty to behold in its simplicity. When you start with the premise of which decision will weaken this country more, it´s easy peasy.

Really? I thought Jimmy was Obama´s roll model. Jimmy gave away the Panama Canal. Obama one upped him and gave away the internet. Jimmy chastised America for being in a malaise. Obama one upped Jimmy by chastising America to everyone in the world for being greedy, no good, money grubbing thieves that stole from all the poor nations in the world, made them poorer and has been the root of all their problems. Jimmy ruined the economy and imposed a huge tax on oil and rationed gasoline. Obama tried to one up Jimmy by ruining the economy and then attacked all fossil fuels trying to put them out of business. He was foiled in that attack by the advent of fracking . . . but he tried! Jimmy was a one term president. Obama got re-elected. Jimmy is ahead at this point but we have two and one half years to go.

Transcripts of congressional testimony released by the House Armed Services committee are the latest in a growing body of evidence that the 2012 Benghazi attacks were premeditated. Gen. Carter Ham, who at the time led the military´s Africa command, known as Africom, told Congress in April the terrorists who attacked the CIA annex, during the third wave of the terrorist assault, had professional training. "Given the precision of the attack, it was a well-trained mortar crew," Ham said, adding the mortar strike showed "a degree of sophistication and military training that is relatively unusual and certainly, I think, indicates that

A month before former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called for President Barack Obama to be impeached on the pages of Breitbart News over his lawlessness on illegal immigration, Obama was already concerned that his unilateral actions on immigration could warrant impeachment. He even kind of joked with pro-amnesty activists not to push him to do something that would get him impeached. Here´s how Politico describes what occurred during a private meeting between Obama and pro-amnesty activists last month: President Barack Obama listened to immigration activists run through a long wish list of executive actions – then added a request of

Despite evidence that the current border crisis is at least partly the result of its previous executive action on immigration, the White House decided it was merely a "public relations problem" and moved forward with plans to issue further executive actions along similar lines. The New York Times has a piece out today which contains some new insight into the White House´s thinking about the border crisis and how it relates to the President´s stated goal of taking action on immigration without Congress. The Times article states, "In the days leading up to the Rose Garden speech, there were discussions in the

The central weakness of the Republican´s political position in Washington has been on vivid display as the situation at the southern border has devolved into a complete crisis. As tens of thousands of foreign nationals overwhelm the border and render our sovereign boundary meaningless, Republicans in DC are tinkering with legislative fixes they say will address the situation. As if the crisis at the border is the result of some drafting error or a failure to enact some specific law relevant to this precise set of circumstances. It is a fool´s errand. Republicans, especially in DC, can always be lured by

The U.S. deported Honduran children as young as 1-1/2 years old on Monday in the first flight since President Obama pledged to speed up the process of sending back illegal immigrant minors from Central America. Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. [Snip] It can take up to 10 minutes for every radio, TV, cable and satellite provider to

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
