Noah Film Review
Hollywood Reporter, by Todd McCarthy

Original Article

Russell Crowe stars in Darren Aronofsky´s Bible-based epic. Darren Aronofsky wrestles one of scripture´s most primal stories to the ground and extracts something vital and audacious, while also pushing some aggressive environmentalism, in Noah. Whereas for a century most Hollywood filmmakers have tread carefully and respectfully when tackling biblical topics in big-budget epics aimed at a mass audience, Aronofsky has been daring, digging deep to develop a bold interpretation of a tale which, in the original, offers a lot of room for speculation and invention. The narrative of the global flood that wiped out almost all earthly life is the original

If God is not the instigator of the whole plot, it would show more artistic integrity to call the movie Gilgamesh. Calling it Noah is an effort to capitalize on the demographic who want to see biblical stories brought to screen, only to twist those stories to suit their own alternate views.

Whether deliberately or not, this movie is a cynical attack on biblical faith.

Who is that?
"It´s the Lord, Noah."

...Where are ya? What you want? I´ve been good.

Regarding bold interpretation, speculation and invention ... just last week I heard a woman on a show about Biblical disasters on either History Channel or Science Channel state that the sin of Sodom was lack of hospitality to strangers. Figure that one out!

When sinning of the moral laws God made for man turns into enviro propaganda it doesn´t matter how well a film is produced. Shades of the Stone Kennedy movie and others.

Hillary Clinton appeared Tuesday on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote her book, "Hard Choices." Stewart briefly discussed the 656-page tome about Clinton´s tenure as secretary of state and then asked exactly what everyone is wondering. "No one cares," about the book, he said. "They just want to know if you´re running for president." Stewart, like so many, tried to get the answer -- even telling Clinton that it sounded like she had just declared that she was running. Like so many others Stewart couldn´t confirm anything, but he gets points for asking the most creative questions.

When Hillary Rodham Clinton agreed to address the University at Buffalo, the largest campus of the State University of New York system, she negotiated a few requirements in addition to her pay of $275,000. Hillary Clinton´s contract for a 2013 speech at the University of Buffalo — for which she was paid $275,000 — came with a number of limits on press access. A copy of the contract was released by the school Wednesday. Among other restrictions, the contract required no press presence at the event reception and no opportunities for members of the media to hear from Clinton apart from her speech and a moderated question-and-answer segment immediately afterward. "The reception prior to the speech will be closed to the news-media," the contract said. "The Sponsor will work with Agency to coordinate the

The rumors that Rupert Murdoch was interested in purchasing Time Warner gained some shape and form Wednesday morning, as the New York Times reported that sources said Murdoch made an $80 billion offer for the TV-cable-film-magazine conglomerate, only to be rebuffed. Fox approached Time Warner in June and offered to pay $85 a share on Time Warner stock; the combined company would be worth about $65 billion in revenue. Per the Times, Murdoch is especially interested in Time Warner’s broadcast rights to sport events like basketball and baseball games, to help grow Fox’s sports footprint. Politicians in Germany have devised an ingenious solution to combat the threat of eavesdropping by American spies: playing classical music during their meetings. MPs who sit on the spying committee had become so concerned that US agents might listen in to their discussions that they had ordered classical music to be played, to drown out the discussions. On arrival at the meeting, The Suddetusche Zeitung reported that for "security reasons" MPs had to put their mobile phones and computers into a large metal box to ensure that they were not subjected to outside surveillance.
