Without facts on the missing airliner,
the media make stuff up

Washington Post, by Eugene Robinson

Let me go out on a limb: The Malaysian airliner did not get sucked into a black hole, vanish over the Indian Ocean equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle or crash-land on the spooky island from “Lost.” Those “theories” were actually discussed on CNN this week. Host Don Lemon dismissed them as “preposterous” before asking one of his assembled “expert” guests — there were six of them waiting expectantly in their boxes on the screen — whether, you know, such ideas really were so preposterous. At which point the nonstop coverage of this tragedy entered the Twilight Zone. The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines

Maybe it was scooped up by an Imperial Star Destroyer, seconds before they were both sucked into a wormhole that catapulted them into next Tuesday where the Bermuda Triangle then swallowed them whole until they reappear over Miami Beach the following Friday. So be on the lookout! /s

Hard evidence is scientific and therefore the left has no interest in it.These people invent myths that their followers quickly believe because logic doesn´t factor into their decision making. Most sober commentators are saying there´s a simple explanation of this but that´s way too boring for CNN to present.

I am totally disgusted with Fox News. From Jenna Lee and Jon Scott in the morning through Megyn Kelly at night (our time), they rant and rave and haul "expert" after "expert" on, badgering them with questions that have already been addressed in recent days (sometimes recent hours - they don´t seem to listen to the answers so forget). They are becoming more rabid by the day. Is it really necessary? I don´t believe so.

I exempt from this criticism the same usual cool reporting from Catherine Herridge, who seems to be the only one on Fox who sticks with what is known.

They have ditched John Bolton for the moment as he believes that the disclosure of too much information, if there is a plot of some kind behind this disappearance (and he is not venturing an opinion on that), would be injurious to any ongoing investigation and attempt to unearth it and determine the perpetrators.

All of the rest of the news - and there is plenty going on (Putin´s continuing aggression, as well as old issues like Benghazi and the IRS) that they should be covering. Instead they whirl like dervishes about this missing aircraft.

Re #4, I heard yesterday that, in the case of an international flight that appears to be lost or down, limited payments are made to the passengers´ families to pay for immediate expenses. No admission of negligence. Simply a stipend to pay for any travel they require and other expenses.

The search efforts remind me of the drunk who loses his keys at night, but only looks for them under the streetlight because the light is better there.

There is at least a 50% chance that Flight 370 took a northern route, but looking for it there would be politically incorrect. So they head for the ocean near the Antarctic Circle. Winter is coming on, the waves are huge, the weather is bad, and it´s four hours from land by airplane. How long before others die in this futile effort?

Looks like it is round-robin on what country found the plane, like a kind of roulette wheel. "We found it, we found it! Pieces of something shiny in da ocean!".
First it was China, then Norway, now it is Australia´s turn, etc. I have no confidence in the US, under Obama, to do what is right. It would not surprise one bit that Obama knows exactly where it is, has nefarious, ulterior morives. It is like a media wild goose chase, a distraction. The politically correct mantra to exonerate muslims is really good for a laugh.

Hey Malaysia Airlines: suggestion-do NOT hire anymore Muslim pilots. It really is that easy to cut future losses.

The first time that the givernment monopolized and controlled "news" services, went all out, 24 hours a day, bonkers on a single "crisis"´ was in the Clinton era, when all the world was force fed speculation on the deaths of Ron and Nicole by O J Simpson.
The parallels too, that time and this time, are haunting !
As the government-obedient "news" monopoly is slowly waking up to the unconstitutional presidency of Obama,
so then at the time of those killings, was our news industry slowly waking up to endless scandals, criminal
acts, of our lying Slick Willie and co-president, Hillary.

At that time, this ongoing multiple murder investigation
consumed the news, and completely removed all of the
brewing headline coverage of the mounting Clinton scandals. The building Clinton mania DISAPPEARED !
So it is today, as one Ldotter suggested above, the disappearance of the Malaysian 777, has succeeded as a tool to take the failing Obama presidency crises OFF THE TABLE.
At that time of early news crisis, Greta van Sustern emerged as a chief investigator, as has Megyn Kelly taken over the same intense position today.

There is a haunting sameness of all this intense, repeated, repeated, speculation, that simply distracts from the many ruinous acts of the person we suffer now in the White House, who is now benefitting the way the Clinton´s did, by being conveniently removed from the headlines.

Rush has gotten in on the act while ridiculing the Black Hole theory aired on CNN he supports the official version on the crash of flight 800. He needs to get some expert analysis of the zoom climb video and explain why there is no order to inert the fuel tanks on airliners when they are left empty if that really is the cause of the flight 800 crash. Rush is showing a blind faith in an official government report which is not much better than the black hole theory!

Contrary to what some say, I watched Megyn Kelly last night and a Representative from a UK satellite company was on her program and what he said was enlightening. They have 20 satellites that read signals of plane locations.

Where transponders can be manually turned off in the cabin, the box that sends signals to the satellites operated by this company will keep reading the planes location until the engines are shut down. Their reading box is located where the crew cannot get to it.

The Rep said that they informed the Malaysian authorities that the plane was still flying and had turned on a south western path and flew on for seven and a half hours.

This isn´t guess work, it is what they are contracted to do. He also said that when a plane lands normally, and the engines are shut down, the sending unit also stops sending. Otherwise they would be reading locations of parked planes.

So... when the signals quit sending the plane had either crashed or landed and shut down the engines. He also said the unit on each plane was registered and the signals sent gave the ID of the plane. I hope I got most of the correct. I too have been reading about Black holes and worm holes and stuff like that. The MSM seems to have an orgy over things like that. I´d say those people suffer from huge character flaws.

Whatever happened has to fit one of these conditions:

1. A catastrophic failure that occurred so suddenly that neither the flight crew nor the passengers could send any sort of message.

2. Something happened in the cockpit that disabled both pilots and all cockpit-accessible communications but did not cause enough alarm among the passengers that no passenger sent a message with their cell phone.

I believe that condition 1 can be ruled out because the communications were lost close to Malaysia, but the engine reporting system continued for another 7 hours.

Number 2 can lead to a number of "interesting" scenarios because the ACARS system reported an autopilot commanded turn westward before it ceased operating.

Federal employees, like all Americans, are entitled to hold passionate political beliefs. Most executive branch federal employees, however, may not engage in certain political activities, thanks to an anti-conflict of interest principle enshrined in a federal law called the Hatch Act. To wit, President Bush requested the resignation of his GSA administrator in 2008 after the US Office of Special Counsel determined she had violated federal law by participating in a video conference with Karl Rove and sending out partisan letters. That´s up from 5 percent in June, and is the highest number Gallup has registered for immigration since 2006, when 15 percent said it was the nation´s most pressing problem. Gallup’s new survey found immigration is virtually tied with “dissatisfaction with government” as the nation´s top problem. The economy and unemployment rank below immigration and “dissatisfaction with government" as top problems, the new poll found. How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums

Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

The headline in the Washington Post on June 4 was clear: Rove-backed American Crossroads won’t get involved in Cochran runoff Said the Post story the day after Tea Party favorite Chris McDaniel had defeated six-term Mississippi GOP Senator Thad Cochran in the first round of the state’s GOP primary: American Crossroads, a GOP establishment organization, has decided to shift its political focus almost entirely to the general election and will not be spending money in the likely runoff election to decide the Mississippi Senate nomination that was virtually deadlocked after Tuesday night. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the
