NY O-Care Exchange Accidentally
Reveals Applicants’ Email Addresses

PJ Media, by Stephen Kruiser

(h/t The Mental Recession) Glitchtastic. Some applicants to the New York health insurance exchange saw their email addresses revealed this week in a message reminding them of a March 31 enrollment deadline. The automated email sent by the exchange on Monday went to New York residents who completed an online application process but hadn’t yet enrolled in insurance coverage. The message didn’t make use of the blind carbon copy feature, allowing recipients of the email to see the addresses of others who received it. It wasn’t clear Wednesday how widespread the apparent privacy breach was. The New York Department of Health tried to downplay things

Comments:
Wait until they "accidentally" reveal your medical records, especially if you are a Republican. Are you required to state your political party on Obamacare applications? That wouldn´t surprise me in the least.

Day after day after day after day the "problems" with Obamacare are revealed. BUT, since it is the law of the land, that is, Obama´s law to personally do with as he pleases, suck it up or vote out the Democrats, because no one else is going to do anything about it. What´s the difference what today´s problem is, because there will be another one tomorrow and the day after, for years. You have one option, vote for the proper party.

So I was watching this popular daytime show the other day. Not normally my thing, but with an eight-month-old baby girl taking her nap and Dad (me) playing the role of Manny for the day (apparently that’s what they now call Dad temporarily taking on the role of Mr. Mom these days), I was basically stuck with only a remote control to keep me entertained. I wasn’t exactly paying close attention, but what I heard next actually shocked me (which is hard to do): a black guest was speaking to a white co-host about something controversial when the white host

Top Senate Democrats are sick of waiting for the House to take up comprehensive immigration reform. If Republicans don’t act in July, President Obama will, they warn. After all, he still has a pen and phone, right? Via The Hill: "We´re at the end of the line," Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) said Thursday during a press briefing in the Capitol. "We´re not bluffing by setting a legislative deadline for them to act. "Their first job is to govern," Menendez added, "and in the absence of governing, then you see executive actions." Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) piled on. (Snip) White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest made similar remarks in an interview with

Republicans on the Hill cheered the 9-0 Supreme Court decision that found President Obama’s January 2012 appointments to the National Labor Relations Board were unconstitutional, while the top Democrat in the Senate maintained that the White House was in the right. Obama branded them “recess appointments,” but the Senate was actually in pro-forma session at the time. In September of that year, 41 GOP senators filed an amicus brief in support of the case brought against the presidential appointments. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled the appointments of Sharon Block and Richard Griffin were unconstitutional

Politics: After she destroyed Arthur Andersen in a flawed and subsequently overturned prosecution, the Senate has confirmed Leslie Caldwell to lead the DOJ´s criminal division, giving her a mandate for even more mayhem. You´d think someone who had thrown 85,000 people out of work, as this former Enron task force chief prosecutor did in her indictment of Arthur Andersen, before the whole thing was thrown out by a 9-0 Supreme Court, would go quietly from the public spotlight. Not so with Caldwell, a notoriously anti-business activist who in concert with the Obama White House is instead failing upward.

Charles Krauthammer sat down with Greta Van Susteren tonight to react to the Supreme Court decision limiting President Obama‘s power of recess appointments. Krauthammer said Obama knows he’s “beyond the bounds” of the office, but at this point he feels he can “abuse the Constitution” if he needs to. The 9-0 decision, he said, was a “major rebuke” to Obama which stated nothing more than if the Senate says it’s not in recess, it’s not in recess. And the fact the Supreme Court ruled this way suggests to Krauthammer that John Boehner‘s lawsuit against the president over executive actions “might

The Supreme Court this week admonished the Environmental Protection Agency for overreaching in regulating greenhouse gases. The Clean Air Act covers polluters that emit 250 tons per year (or in some cases, 100 tons). This standard makes no sense if applied to greenhouse gases. Thousands of establishments from elementary schools to grocery stores would be, absurdly, covered. So the EPA arbitrarily chose 100,000 tons as the carbon dioxide threshold. That´s not "tailoring," ruled the Supreme Court. That´s rewriting. Under our Constitution, "an agency has no power to ´tailor´ legislation to bureaucratic policy goals by

Eventually, she lost her case. At one point Lerner even asked a targeted conservative if Pat Robertson prayed over him. (Sound familiar?) Republicans are in the strongest position to win back the Senate since losing it eight years ago. Over several months, the party has expanded its range of targeted seats, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has helped defeat insurgents it didn’t want representing the GOP in the midterm elections. This sober realization came to Democrats on Wednesday, as Tuesday night’s primary results showed they cannot count on Tea Party candidates upsetting more-electable incumbents. And Democrats are increasingly realizing that President Obama’s approval rating will probably remain mired at 45 percent or lower until

National conservative groups are angry after incumbent Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran pulled off a victory in the state’s GOP run-off — likely because of his campaign’s outreach to Democratic voters. “It’s disgraceful that self-described GOP leaders like Mitch McConnell, John McCain, the Chamber of Commerce and the NRSC would champion a campaign platform of pork barrel spending and insider deal-making, while recruiting Democrats to show up at the polls,” Matt Kibbe of FreedomWorks said after the results came in. Tuesday’s closely-watched run-off came after conservative state Sen. Chris McDaniel edged Cochran in votes in the initial election earlier this month.

Decades of socialist/progressive indoctrination in our schools, media, and culture, plus six years of Obama, have yielded a devastating unspoken consequence. It is the loss of who we use to be as Americans. In his 1961 Inaugural Address, President John F. Kennedy said, “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” Democrats have perverted Kennedy´s inspiring challenge. Their dispiriting goal is to have as many Americans as possible controlled by and dependent on government, even for life itself, which is at the root of ObamaCare.
