Malaysia’s Sinister Timeline
for Flight 370 Unravels

Daily Beast, by Clive Irving

Original Article

Government officials now admit the data system and transponder quit communicating after the pilots said things were OK. That means they didn’t lie. The official Malaysian account of the last contacts made to and received by Flight MH370 is unraveling. As it does, the sinister interpretations of what happened in the cockpit of the Boeing 777 become less persuasive. We return to the all-important timeline. Originally, the Malaysians said that the last words from the cockpit—from the copilot, “All right, good night”—were spoken to air traffic controllers as the airplane left Malaysian air space at 1:30am. This week, that timing was significantly changed

Whatever the real story is, here´s what you can be sure of with the disappearance of this flight:

1. When the History Channel does their special on it, it will somehow be the fault of conservatives. They won´t come right out and say that but that´s what that bad taste in your mouth will be afterwards.

2. When the Weather Channel does their special on it, it will somehow be the fault of ´global warming´ and it never would have happened if we´d only listened.

3. NCIS will have an episode showing the pilots photoshopped into a ´secret´ meeting with Sarah Palin and/or Ted Cruz.

And, yes; I´m feeling extra cynical this morning. One of these days, I´m going to have to stop reading the news altogether before the blood comes spurting out of my ears.

The biggest mystery to this is how the media can obsess about this 24/7 and never run out of so-called experts who eagerly give their opinions about an investigation they are in no way involved in.

I know a guy who grew up on Long Island and has several friends in his home town who witnessed TWA Flight 800´s crash. Almost 20 years later, it´s still a topic of conversation when he returns. In 20 years I think in the Far East they´ll be talking about FLGT #370 in the same way. For the families it would be wonderful if cause of crash was determined.

There´s a reason the U.S. has called off its search in the Indian Ocean. The plane actually sits on the ground in Pakistan. Lt. Col. Thomas McInerney explained it on Hannity last night.

The big difference between Flight 800 and Flight 370 is that Flight 800 could never rise again. Flight 370 can, carrying a weapon of mass destruction to Israel or the good old USA.

Two things.
1. The timeline is difficult because all the different events are logged into various computers. The clocks on those computers are not all exactly in sync. It takes time to figure out how far off each computer clock is. I wouldn´t be surprised if it took several more months. A clock error of several hours wouldn´t even be surprising.

2. If Malaysia reveals everything it knows and does not know, then it also reveals the weaknesses in their country´s air security. It leaves them open for attack by someone who takes advantage of those holes in security that were revealed by this incident. We have already found out that if you fly without transponders across Malaysia on a regular flight path you will be pretty much ignored and not shot down.
Hmmm... or perhaps not :|

I´ve watched only a few stories about this event. One had a full profile of the pilot, his computers, his kids, his politics but NOT HIS RELIGION. Why are his kids (btw, this wife and kids left the home before he took off with the plane) and their pictures part of the story by his affiliation with a violent cult not mentioned?
Oh... and this is ALL more important than Crimea being invaded and annexed and Spetznaz troops taking over facilities in Eastern Ukraine.

Chris Goodfellow is a pilot that wrote a compelling piece in yesterday’s Wired Magazine.
It revolves around the 13,000-foot runway at Pulau Langkawi and its easier approach for landing than Kuala Lampur to the south. Short story is that a blown or overheated tire that had been smoldering since takeoff broke out into a fire. First response is heading for the best field, then start taking any action possible to contend with the fire. These may have included a clime to highest altitude to starve the fire of oxygen. Then possible descending to low altitude for approach and possible decompression of the cabin. Did the fire take out controls to prevent the final turns needed to land?

From this long time aviation observer--the Chris Goodfellow article cited above makes a lot of sense--an incapacitating fire. It ties in with experienced pilot behavior--turning off systems to try to isolate and shut juice off to the fire, and flying to the nearest airport capable of handling the aircraft. However if you look down in the comments there was another airport that was closer than the one that Mr. Goodfellow postulates and wouldn´t have required that sudden left turn. The pilots ran out of time and control versus the fire, and the airplane flew on autopilot until it couldn´t.

Onboard electrical fires brought down Swissair in ´98 near Nova Scotia and the Air Canada flight which landed in Columbus. A front tire fire though...with all the reporting on a 777--don´t know about that. http://www.wired.com/autopia/2014/03/mh370-electrical-fire/

My own speculation is that the Malaysian Government would like to tag the highly experienced captain with the crash because he was a visible member of the opposition--Malaysia´s ruling party has been in power for 40 years and it is ´democratic´ in name only. So they are dripping out the deleted files on the home flight sim. Also, 60% of Malays are Muslim (state religion)but not a hotbed of fanaticism; they live with fellow Buddhists, Christians, animists etc. The captain was Muslim, but that´s not very unusual there.

The questions are this: What could take out the flight deck communications and flight crew quickly without:

A: Causing the immediate catastrophic loss of the aircraft (think TWA 800) or

B: Without causing undo alarm among the passengers and cabin crew (no texts or phone calls).

Based on things posited on Hannity´s radio show on Monday and Tuesday, here is an additional scenario to add to the speculation mix:

The pilot decided to "make a political statement" and planed on crashing the plane into the Petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur. After reaching cruising altitude, the co-pilot excused himself from the cockpit to make a cabin visit and use the restroom. In his absence, the pilot killed the flight engineer, made the final call, switched off the transponders and used the autopilot to make the turn back. The copilot returned, locked the cockpit door behind him and is attacked by the pilot. During the fight, the auto-throttle is switched off and the throttles pushed to full power. This would explain the climb to 45,000 feet and the subsequent erratic movements seen in the raw radar data. The copilot kills the pilot but is mortally wounded himself and is only able to re-engage the autopilot before dying himself. The cabin crew might have deduced that something was wrong, especially since the flight crew wouldn´t respond. There was nothing they could do since the cockpit door is secure. The passengers would probably would not know anything serious was going on until the engines ran out of fuel several minutes after which, the autopilot, unable to maintain speed and altitude would have disconnected and the plane plummeted into the Southern Ocean.

Please note that in this scenario, the roles of the pilot, copilot and flight engineer are interchangeable.

The question about Goodfellow´s fire theory is HOW DEEP is the ocean in the area where he postulates #370 went down? If it´s not miles deep, wreckage should definitely be seen.
Also remember that by the time US networks get information, it´s passed through probably 3 translators. An innocent poor word choice can change the entire meaning of something. In some instances, perhaps the Malaysian authorities are simply dragging their feet for liability reasons. What if, for example, one of the pilots left a jihad/suicide message in his home? They could hold on to that information for as long as they wanted and claim at any time that it was "just" discovered.

I don´t understand why the posters who think there is too much emphasis on the plane story bothered to open this page. The beauty of the internet is that we can zero in on what we think is important. I hardly ever watch TV news (but I have read that Nightline has not done a story on Obamacare in 123 days -- good reason not to bother with that show). I´ve never seen Hannity´s TV show, never seen van Susteren.

I do think the plane story is very interesting and potentially quite important. That´s why I decided to read this post.

If the plane is not a crashed, smoldering wreck and the plane has been hijacked, the Muslim passengers are still alive and being held captive. The other non Muslim passengers are all dead, killed by the hijackers.

Federal employees, like all Americans, are entitled to hold passionate political beliefs. Most executive branch federal employees, however, may not engage in certain political activities, thanks to an anti-conflict of interest principle enshrined in a federal law called the Hatch Act. To wit, President Bush requested the resignation of his GSA administrator in 2008 after the US Office of Special Counsel determined she had violated federal law by participating in a video conference with Karl Rove and sending out partisan letters. That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. “Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

The headline in the Washington Post on June 4 was clear: Rove-backed American Crossroads won’t get involved in Cochran runoff Said the Post story the day after Tea Party favorite Chris McDaniel had defeated six-term Mississippi GOP Senator Thad Cochran in the first round of the state’s GOP primary: American Crossroads, a GOP establishment organization, has decided to shift its political focus almost entirely to the general election and will not be spending money in the likely runoff election to decide the Mississippi Senate nomination that was virtually deadlocked after Tuesday night. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
