Beaten Obama turns
his back on the world

New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them. “I feel sorry for Obama,” I said. As my wife looked at me in disbelief, I quickly added a correction. “Well, almost.” Beset by failures at home and abroad, the president cuts a lonely and sad figure these days. His aura of grief reflects his profound loss. His worldview crashed headlong into reality, and reality won. Obamaism is dead, may it rest in peace. That’s sad for him, but hold the tears — his loss is mankind’s hope. If Obama wakes from his utopian visions and faces the

Someone inform Obama that the world is not a faculty lounge.
It´s a backstreet populated by bullies.

FTA: ...[Obama´s] loss is mankind’s hope

Which is what Rush Limbaugh meant when he said, "I hope he fails."

Then Goodwin blows it with this: If Obama wakes from his utopian visions and faces the truth, there is a fighting chance to reverse America’s slide and keep the peace.

Obama has not been asleep, he hasn´t been dreaming, he´s been actively destroying America and shredding our Constitution. If Goodwin is waiting for Obama to ´awake´ and ´reverse´ his own policies, then Goodwin is the one who´s dreaming.

Quite pathetic when you make Jimmy Carter look like Churchill. If Odumbdumb had any integrity he´d resign and turn the Office over to someone who knows what the heck he´s doing.

Very few radicals can summon the honesty and courage to admit that they were wrong and their whole life has been wasted. Not everyone is a David Horowitz, certainly not Obama.

Agree 4. and this: "But Obama must take off his rose-colored glasses and face the facts." He is seeing things clearly as did Mohammed Atta. He is perfectly willing to destroy the plane he is piloting, all those on board, all those in the tower, even himself perhaps, to accomplish his divine mission. And that is to destroy the Great Satan and usher in the Worldwide Caliphate. Socialism is merely a tool to achieve that.

Economically, Obama is set for life.

Because of him, millions are injured for life.

I hope we have learned something from it. African tribal loyalty combined with white guilt can be deadly at the voting booth.

I don´t get the headline that Obama has been beaten in any way. Obama is on the sixth year of his eight year vacation. Nobody has taken that from him. So he´s still "winning," in the same sense as Charlie Sheen´s "winning."

The only games our vacationer plays are golf, basketball, and destroying the country he despises. In that last game he is undefeated.

Obama, Mooch, and ValJar sit at the dinner table laughing at how easy it was to destroy America. White guilt and lofo´s combined with voter fraud made it very easy.

The only ones I feel remotely bad for are Sasha and Malia as they will spend the rest of their lives knowing that we know that their father destroyed this great country. Right now, it´s parties and trips for them. In the future, they will be despised.

And if their parents don´t stop holding their hands when they go out I´m going to puke. It´s completely inappropriate at their ages.

His aura of grief reflects his profound loss.

No. His "aura" projects arrogance, adolescence, insouciance, and narcissism. He hasn´t changed.

The result is that his once-magical ability to inspire with words is now an international punch line because they are just words.

Thank God the Left is beginning to wake up to what the Right has known all along: This isn´t a President who means well for America.

It turns out that the committee system is no better at running the global order than it is at running a corner grocery.

Why not call it what it is instead of calling it the "committee" system? It´s the communist system, Obamacyborgs´ wet dream for America.

...the great spread of democracy, the prosperity, the prolonged great-power peace — have depended directly and indirectly on power and influence exercised by the United States.”

The world knew, until Obama was elected, that there was always America who would come to their rescue, who would deliver them from tyranny, a place to go to escape persecution. Now that hope for the rest of the world is gone with Obama in office.

One can only pray that very soon, America will have a leader who will restore her to her status as Lady Liberty throughout the world. Without America´s strength and willingness to fight for the rights of others when asked, the rest of the world is toast and America is just another hunk of dirt.

Great comments from my fellow posters here at Lucianne. Obama went into the office with an agenda. What some see as incompetence is really complete success in Obama´s eyes. With much hubris, Obama went about his business to brings us down a peg or two and he has succeeded. Obama, his administration, the democrat party heartily agree with the destruction they see unfolding around them everyday. They are overjoyed with his success.

However, there comes a tipping point where we can´t turn this around and we are fast approaching it. If 2014 and 2016 finds us burdened with a democrat majority, we are toast. It will take resolve and a will to fight to the death to wrest this country away from the progressives. They are deeply entrenched and will not go quietly into the good night. IF we are successful, we will need warriors who will not give in to the cry of bipartisanship as we have done in the past. Nothing less than unity of spirit and steely purpose will win the day. Conservatives must be bold and brook no attempts to reach across the aisle by the establishment. Pardon my election rant, but it is ALL on the line in the next two election cycles and we can´t afford to lose.

C´mon MIke - Obama isn´t a failure. He has achieved what he wanted all along: a weakened and chastised US foreign policy and military, almost a majority of Americans dependent in some ways on the Government, nationalized student loans and the healthcare system, Common Core to complete the dumbing down of students, etc. But he and his family will be set for life finacially and I don´t feel sorry one bit for those two sullen daughters who will skate into top universities (like their parents) and graduate with degrees without having to exercise one brain cell all the time still whining about all the racism in this country.

No one wants to call out Obama for what he is except maybe Ted Nugent because no one wants to admit that the first black president set out to destroy this country.

I think we all know that Obama is not concerned with America´s strategic interests. He´s a one trick pony. He may offer the pretense of being engaged in foreign policy issues but his real interests are right here at home.

His goal is to "re-found" America as some egalitarian socialist Fantasyland. Nothing will get in the way of this quest and his liberal supporters still support his vision.

Michael,

An ideologue like BO would find it almost impossible to reverse course at this point. He could have considered it in 2010 but since then has doubled and tripled down on progressive failure. His arrogance while doing it would make it impossible for him to assemble any support. No one "rspects" him and many loath him. He has nothing to work with for a change of course.

However, a larger roadblock exists. Even were BO to achieve the almost impossible task of relinquishing his narcissism, he faces a larger, clearly insurmountable problem.

BO has NO ability to do things.

His administration is a chain of failed efforts. The only things that keep him propped up is Harry Reid and a media that seems willing to protect him at ALL costs.

There are no success stories. Who would achieve a turn around? Lois Lerner?

No Michael. History will not be kind to the failed boy-king. His is a failure of ideas and a failure of ability.

I continue to be surprised at the number of people who believe Obama has ever ´thought´ this, or ´said´ that, or ´did´ something else.

Obama is the puppet, stooge, lifesize cardboard lobby card of Jarrett and her cabal of fellow communists. They use their mouthpiece to accomplish their agenda of American destruction while Obama struts for the cameras, pretending he is a worthwhile person.

If he ever does shed the rose-colored glasses and get a good view of himself as the object of world ridicule that Jarrett has made of him, I doubt his drug-addled brain could handle the shock. His handlers only need to keep him on his feet for two more years, at which time they will dump the useless shell he will have become.

Beside his skin color, you wonder what the Democrats thought Obama could bring to a leadership role? I am still stunned to think of the qualifications Romney had to offer, and the rejection he suffered for this country disorganizer.

I don´t think the lapdog media is going to be of much help in the coming months. Expect more stories on the angst our poor leader is suffering with the heavy weight of the office, a la Lincoln. He will strive for the sympathy vote. Doubt the healthcare losers will care, they have their own pain.

“But Obama must take off his rose-colored glasses and face the facts.”

It’s really not that hard to figure out. Anyone who has seen someone promoted far beyond his abilities and watched him fail recognizes immediately what is happening. Whatever got him the job doesn’t matter. A relative of the owner, the fast talk of a con man, a phony resume, preferential hiring, or all of the above, it always plays out the same way.

He has no real sense of the mission, values, or culture of the organization he heads and makes no attempt to learn, whether it is a department, an entire company, or a country. Because of this he has no useable instinct for either right decisions or whose advice to value and whose to disregard. He is constantly adrift. He flounders. He makes one monumentally bad decision after another, each one resulting in a whole new set of problems and crises that he also mismanages.

People mutter that the shop foreman with a GED who understands the company inside and out would do a better job, and they are right. That’s why Sarah Palin would have made a better president.

In business, sometimes (but not often) he quits in humiliation. More often he gets fired. And sometimes he drives his company into bankruptcy. But he never “faces the facts,” because he is completely incapable of identifying one.

“Take off the rose colored glasses”? Nope. We’re on this runaway bus until it runs out of gas and stops. At least it’s not a plane.

Good #42, especially the part about his mismanagement causing problems, which he further mismanages.

It seems to me Obama is a tool of one or more foreign governments-namely Russia and Saudi Arabia. From the media infiltration, to voting fraud, to mystery deaths of Trinity Church boys, Breitbart, Fuddy, the pro-obama blogger blitz on the internet-the machine is just too well oiled to believe otherwise. Just where did those foreign campaign contributions come from/2008? His hierarchy chart is clear: when he shakes things up like former allies, he first wants the Muslims/Islamists to benefit, with Sunnis getting first priority, Shiites second. If that is not possible he is content with communists benefitting in third place. Example: Egypt. The "world" gets the scraps in this fire-sale of America. Now he has given control of internet to the UN! The only group Obama is tough on is Americans.

I don’t know why zero doesn’t show his Nobel Peace Prize to Putin and put an end to Russia’s aggression. If that doesn’t work, he could expand the sanctions to include banning Beyonce and Jay Z from performing for a Russian audience. And as a last straw he could send LeBron James to make them sign up for zerocare.

He isn’t turning his back on the world, it’s the reverse that’s true. Our traditional allies don’t know what to expect and our enemies can smell our present weakness. His policy of “lead from behind” is Orwellian doublespeak – the word “lead” means in front of, not behind. Our allies are learning that when your leader is behind you, he has a clear shot at your back, or he can retreat to his own safety without being noticed.

FTA: “Instead of people the world over beating their swords into plowshares, the 21st century is turning out to be a chaotic and bloody mess.”

An old quote – “Those who beat their swords into plowshares will plow for those who don´t.” ~ Unknown (to me). Unilateral disarmament will lead to our demise, and I believe zero and his handlers know this.

#45, I know how this happened – we let the wrong hands rock our cradle.

Obama deserves no sympathy. He is unrepentant in his ways, domestic and foreign. Obama will just keep on doing the same thing, expecting different and, presumably, better results.

Some people call THAT insanity. It is insane to stay committed to ideas that have proven time and again not to work.

Of course, if he is looking to upend things to suit his views, he has been successful. In that case, he is no different from Putin, just much weaker. He´s a tyrant.

“Beaten Obama turns his back on the world,” now that his job is done.

And so all the democrat-liberal-progressive-leftist-socialist inhabitants of America’s print and electronic media newsrooms have gotten what they set out to do. They paved the way for BHO and his puppeteers to fundamentally transform what was once an exceptional nation into a backwater banana republic. The disastrous result of Commu-Journal-ism.

Freeloader 29, says it all, but leaves out the real payoff.
This current White House occupant is the first and only occupant who subscribes to two destructive ideological, totalitarian beliefs, Islamic supremacism and Marxist Communism. To make matters worse, there are few who write about or discuss these two fearful points.
Rinctum, above, thinks this is all about progressivism, a great
"cover up" word. It´s time to study Communist propaganda techniques, pay attention to Islamic terrorism throughout the world. Get real. Overcome the few of using the word Communism.

Articles like this one make me wonder if the U.S.A. is not going to be the land of peace and freedom any more. Are we degenerating into a despotic, third world banana republic? It seem as if we are. IF we can turn this slide around and regain that which has been taken from us, it´s going to take an enormous amount of old fashion work to do so. And NOW is the time to start. Let´s all make the Nov. elections heard loud and long by the entire world!

Obama is not wearing rose-colored glasses. He is doing exactly what he planned, and he is succeeding, probably to a greater extent than he ever expected.

He said he would fundamentally transform the USA. He´s well on the way to doing just that. Can anyone here remember any Congress, Republican or Democrat, which would be so accepting of a President usurping their Constitutional power? Or an electorate that would vote--twice--for someone whose background is so unknown? Or a media that is a cheering section for the President, no matter what he says or does?

Seems the thrust of the article is that Obama did not realize what Russia was doing. Yet I recall that conversation he had with Medvedev before he was reelected...How Obama needed time to get re-elected. As far as I am concerned, Obama is in total support of Putin, and just has to play the part of disgruntled world leader.

Don´y forget Obama ceded Syria to Putin just a few months ago.

Eastern Europe, the middle east and asia are all going to end up "nuking up" because Obama feels we should be a lesser player in the world.

meanwhile: this is our policy as articulated by the President:
"It´s time to send a clear message to the world: America seeks a world without nuclear weapons ... we´ll make the goal of eliminating all nuclear weapons a central element in our nuclear policy."

what could possibly go wrong with that policy

Obama has also disappeared from the media. My local librag that usually has at least one fawning feature on Obama has gone dark on him (I condemn myself). Ocassionally his cousin Obama Administration shows up to declare a new law, but the President has nearly disappeared.

I can only conclude that my newspaper is applying the advice that many of our mothers gave us about "If you don´t have something good to say...".

The cabal who prepared the ground for this onslaught of leftist (fascist/commie) transformation worked long and hard right in front of our eyes. We have to blame repubics for that!
I must mention one thing though: I am afraid that racial relations in America are broken for many years.

While I´m at it, and since this is my second post, I don´t care for apologies for a second post. Most of them are either a clarification or a comment to a development in the thread which I find acceptable.

The staff seems to police the threads adequately to stop chatting and I´m sure they will let us know when to be sorry for additional posts.

Mr. Goodwin’s headline is foolish – Barack Obama has not turned his back on the world, the world has turned its back on Barack Obama.

Despite all of their different political persuasions, the nations of this world universally still do respect one thing: a leader who unabashedly loves the country, which he leads.

Presently, the world’s nations see nothing but disgrace in the way that President Obama publicly belittles his country and its accomplishments. Some may even agree with him, but they see him as weak and cowardly for not even attempting to defend the principles of the country, of which he is the leader.

The world will never again give President Barack Obama the adulation that he once craved and enjoyed. Unfortunately for us, the world now snickers at him and mocks his silly pretensions.

The sad legacy of Barack Obama has been set and it will include nothing but upheaval, scorn, shame, and dishonor. The world had hoped for so much more.

It certainly looks like above posters suggest that, just like his terrorist heroes, he is willing to ride the plane into the symbolic WTC to achieve his legacy.

I was stunned to read Goodwin´s comments about his feeling sorry for ZeroBama. His remarks about how perhaps, Zero will man up and at least become Jimmy Carter are naive. It is scary since it is that same naivete that caused Goodwin to vote for Obama in 2008. Goodwin realized fairly quickly the terrible mistake he had made. He has been atoning for his vote and has written very hard hitting pieces about Obama and his administration. I agree with the other posters that Zero looks at nothing through rose colored glasses. His plan at reducing US world power is right on course.

The missing Malaysian plane is a metaphor for Obama´s presidency. He takes a mighty country, changes course and goes in an incomprehensible direction. He turns off the "transponders" that are the mechanisms built into the Constitution. He is aided and abetted in this by a fraudulent press and corrupt Democrat and Republican leaders and has been holding the country hostage until he destroys it.

Federal employees, like all Americans, are entitled to hold passionate political beliefs. Most executive branch federal employees, however, may not engage in certain political activities, thanks to an anti-conflict of interest principle enshrined in a federal law called the Hatch Act. That´s up from 5 percent in June, and is the highest number Gallup has registered for immigration since 2006, when 15 percent said it was the nation´s most pressing problem. Gallup’s new survey found immigration is virtually tied with “dissatisfaction with government” as the nation´s top problem. The economy and unemployment rank below immigration and “dissatisfaction with government" as top problems, the new poll found. How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums
