Perry Endorses McConnell At MSU Speech
Associated Press, by Staff

MURRAY, KY - When Texas Governor Rick Perry comes to Kentucky, people like to remind him of Jim Bowie, the Kentucky native who died at the Alamo during the Texas Revolution. Perry told a crowd of about 300 Republicans at the Lincoln Reagan Dinner at Murray State University on Saturday night that Bowie was willing to give up everything for freedom. He said he hopes there is a new generation of young men and women that are willing to give up everything to change Kentucky. One thing Perry does not want to change: Kentucky´s senior U.S. senator. Perry endorsed Mitch McConnell, telling

I´d say another piece of evidence Perry´s going to run in ´16. McConnell as Senate Majority leader would be a strong ally to have in your corner.

Well Governor Perry can rest assured that his endorsement of McConnell will not cause him to lose my vote.

I wouldn´t vote for him anyway. He needs to put some bars of lead in his hip pockets to add more weight to his swagger.

Anyone who assumes he or she does not want 4-term Governor Rick Perry in our American White House, likely did not see and hear him at CPAC.  Check out THIS Rick Perry!

Perry is Establishment. He supports amnesty for illegal aliens. In other words, he supports rewarding people who break our laws, multiple times. He´s not good for America, just like the present law-ignorer isn´t.

This highlights the corruption now inherent within the GOP. To get the party´s endorsement, one must "play ball" with those in charge. Note the recent RNCC attacks against David Jolly (FL 13th Congression district special election - have we forgotten already?) when he wouldn´t commit to supporting Boehner for Speaker.

That´s why I doubt the GOP is the vehicle for genuine reform.

#6/#7- Yes, he does swagger, but that only comes natural to Texans. At least Perry doesn´t prance when he comes down the steps from a plane as our current occupant of the Oval Office does.
#10 - Rick Perry does not support "amnesty for illegal aliens".
#11 - If Governor Perry thinks Senator McConnell is the best choice in the primary, why wouldn´t he endorse him? McConnell´s fellow Kentucky senator, Rand Paul, has endorsed McConnell, too. Do you believe Rand Paul is just "playing ball"?
#12 - Rick Perry may have faults, but being "stupid" is, most assuredly, not one of them.

Nevertheless, I hope he doesn´t run for President in 2016. He´s my governor and I am a big fan, but I would rather see him as VP or Energy Secretary.

It is a small matter. No one we send to Washington will be able to fix it. It is beyond repair. Our salvation will come from the several states acting without and in spite of the federal government. It is time.

How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has identified a massive new threat to domestic airline security. No, it’s not ISIS, Al Qaeda, or the Taliban. It’s the dead battery on your smartphone. Last week, TSA announced what it called “enhanced security measures” in which passengers will be required to power up their cell phones before boarding their flight. According to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, TSA has “assesse[d] the global threat environment and reevaluate[d] the measures we take to promote aviation security.” Your cell phone is evidently part of a “global threat environment,” and so it must be turned on in order

The Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) latest report says that although the federal deficit this year is the lowest of the Obama era, in the near future, it is expected to skyrocket to World War II heights. The years between 2009 and 2012 saw the largest recorded federal government deficits since 1946, based on percentage of the economy. And although the White House also reported that the deficit this year is the lowest of the Obama administration, there is little reason for celebration. Currently, the amount of federal debt is exactly 74 percent of the economy, and if measures aren’t taken to reign

CNN chose to describe the recently detained Jose Antonio Vargas, longtime journalist for U.S. publications and legal citizen of the Philippines, as a “symbol of the immigration debate.” The news network aired his documentary, Undocumented, several times. At the heart of Vargas’s viewpoint — and CNN’s decision to refer to him as a symbol, as opposed to, say, a scofflaw — is the notion that it is unfair to deny citizenship to him, considering his circumstances. Vargas came to the United States from the Philippines when he was 12 and didn’t learn he was in the country illegally until he was

Dozens of Central Americans who paid $1.50 a head could be seen this week crossing the broad Suchiate River on improvised rafts of inner tubes and wooden boards, in full view of Mexican police on the shore and immigration agents posted on

Millennial politics is simple, really. Young people support big government, unless it costs any more money. They´re for smaller government, unless budget cuts scratch a program they´ve heard of. They´d like Washington to fix everything, just so long as it doesn´t run anything. That´s all from a new Reason Foundation poll surveying 2,000 young adults between the ages of 18 and 29. Millennials´ political views are, at best, in a stage of constant metamorphosis and, at worst, "totally incoherent," as Dylan Matthews puts it. It´s not just the Reason Foundation. In March, Pew came out with a similar survey of Millennial attitudes

Now, intelligence and military leaders are privately warning that the U.S. counterterrorism forces could be needed there for much longer.
