Malaysian: Investigators conclude flight hijacked

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Investigators have concluded that one or more people with significant flying experience hijacked the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, switched off communication devices and steered it off-course, a Malaysian government official involved in the investigation said Saturday. No motive has been established and no demands have been made known, and it is not yet clear where the plane was taken, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief the media. The official said that hijacking was no longer a theory. "It is conclusive," he said. He said evidence

Burma seems like a good guess to me, too. I sure hope that this information was being acted upon way before making it public a week later. If not, the hijackers (probably jihadists) have had a week´s head start on their obvious nefarious plans.

It is worrisome that there has been no one claiming responsibility or ransom demands. It leads one to conclude that recognition of their evil deed nor money is the motivator. That leaves using the airplane as a weapons delivery system.

At the very least a competent US president would have it tracked and destroyed before it´s loaded with God only knows what and flown God only knows where.

But Barry has to play golf, so, never mind.

The Boeing 777-200ER has a maximum range of 7,725 nm, that is with a one hour reserve. So let´s make it a good 8,000 nm. The MH370 probably had enough fuel for a 6,000 mile flight. It could make it to Iran or Pakistan if the pilot/copilot flew at its most efficient mode.

It´s on the ground in either of these two countries. It will be fitted with a very large EMP nuke and either detonated over Israel, over the UK or the Eastern seaboard of the USA. All He!! will break out. Just think if nothing electronic or electrical works from Maine to Georgia all the way to Dayton, Ohio. Just a thought.

Since it has been reported in yesterday´s news cycle that US spy satellites did not detect any infrared heat source suggesting an explosion of some kind in the vicinity of where the last known transmission came from, I would venture to say, the plane is now sitting in China, half dismantled, being reverse engineered. It´s all a charade.

I don´t buy the air-strike-on-the-U.S theory.

It has been postulated for years that Iran could detonate a dirty bomb or EMP in the U.S. with a SCUD missile fired from a barge off the east coast of the U.S.

Pirates have been stealing ships/tankers for centuries. Now 777s.

I would like to think if it was hijacked it didn´t crash because the passengers might have some hope, but there were simply too many cell phones on the plane that could have been located had the plane been near a tower anywhere, and no investigators seem to have successfully kept secrets here, and it´s possible but not likely that hijackers would have that covered too. Also, someone somewhere would have seen a plane that size landing because the landing strip needed for it is too large and too prominent (remember the guy live blogging the helicopters attacking Bin Laden?). So yes, it could be in Myanmar, or Iran, or some other place. All of this is speculation but I think it was hijacked and crashed and we won´t find out who did it or why because nobody has taken credit who is credible. I work in a huge place that had two employees on the plane along with the spouse of one of them), so this isn´t a conclusion I want to reach but it seems most likely to me.

The sooner we are allowed to know what happened, the better. In one of the most radar-covered areas on the planet in SE Asia, the gummints know the full story regardless of someone´s motives on the plane. I don´t understand the current hide-the-sausage game being played by the various gummints unless there is something a lot bigger involved.

That co-pilot wouldn´t have flown so erratically...up to 40,000 feet, ets. I like Rush Limbaugh´s theory: it lost its electronics (except engine pings), was a flying dark blob on radar which wouldn´t respond, maws assumed to be an enemy and some country shot it down. Now they are covering their butts. Yes, most gov´ts probably know by now and can´t bring themselves to tell the truth.

Plane hijacked and landed somewhere remote.

Sit there for a week, put the passengers back on the plane, give them all their phones back.

Call Reuters and tell them it has a dirty bomb on board along with the passengers, and it is headed for London or Tel Aviv. Some government shoots it down as the passengers plead with their families. No dirty bomb found.

What kind of strip search will prevent the next instance?

If you really want to terrorize it isn´t that hard.

If that A/C has crashed or been destroyed by something over the oceans, there would be traces of that happening. Remember, ALL of the seat cushions are floatation devices that will, surprise, on the ocean. And our spy satellites can cover an enormous amount of territory and photograph fairly small objects. Certainly the wreckage from an A/C. And this is a spot in the world that we would have our spy satellites covering just about all of the time. And there are other sensors along with cameras on those satellites. I still think. just like others here, that it is on the ground somewhere being outfitted for a guided missile attack somewhere. Only time will tell.

In the foyer of the Central Intelligence Agency’s headquarters, there is a marble wall covered in stars. They are carved divots that represent those who have fallen in the service of the CIA. The book is a guide to the stars, giving the names of some of those who died and withholding the names of others. SO FAR Hamas’s military campaign against Israel has been a dismal failure. Thanks in part to Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile system, some 1,200 rockets fired at Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities have caused only one Israeli death and a few other casualties. Attempted commando attacks via the sea and a tunnel were stopped short, and a drone that ventured into Israel was quickly shot down. Yet Hamas on Tuesday rejected an Egyptian cease-fire proposal that was supported by Western governments and the Arab League and had been accepted by Israel. Why would Hamas insist on continuing the fight when

Sarah Palin is right about impeaching President Obama. No, not that the president should be impeached. But Palin is correct in arguing that, for those who assert that Obama has grievously abused his executive authority, impeachment is the proper course of action. Of course this won’t happen, for the obvious reason that this tactic didn’t go so well for Republicans last time. Hence House Speaker John Boehner’s curt dismissal of Palin’s call for impeachment: “I disagree.” Boehner’s alternative — a lawsuit — offers the political benefits of draining impeachment fever from the more rabid Republican precincts while rallying the base

Israel’s pledge to intensify its military operation in the Gaza Strip could hasten the moment when the Obama administration will be forced to decide whether to use its leverage to corral its closest ally in the Middle East. Israeli officials, in a series of television interviews, statements and social-media venues, said Tuesday that Hamas’s rejection of a cease-fire offer validated the force it has used over eight days of conflict and made legitimate their argument for a wider military effort. The Obama administration appeared to accept that rationale, blaming the armed Islamist movement in Gaza for missing an opportunity to

Four out of five illegal immigrants seeking driver’s licenses under a new D.C. law have failed a written knowledge test — a rocky start to a program that in its first two months has issued 268 licenses, according to city officials. The failure rate of 80 percent compares with a 58 percent failure rate for people seeking traditional driver’s licenses, the Department of Motor Vehicles told a D.C. Council committee.
