Obama´s rush to regulate
The Hill [Washington, DC], by Ben Goad

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 2/24/2014 9:24:21 AM

President Obama has ordered his officials to step on the gas and clear as much of his regulatory agenda as possible during the twilight of his time in office. The clock is ticking, creating a sense of urgency in the administration to crank out his new rules without delay. Just a year into the president’s second term, experts and former administration officials say it is do-or-die time for scores of regulatory initiatives across the federal government that could shape his legacy. So Obama is spurring agencies on. “He has directed his entire administration to move as quickly as possible in identifying and acting

Comments:
That first sentence chilled me to the bone. You sure can tell that Podesta is going full speed ahead at the direction of his master Soros. It is so terribly disturbing to witness. What is equally disturbing is that Goad doesn´t seem to be terribly concerned about it.

I totally get your concern OP and I partially share it. However, on the bright side, people are starting to ignore new regulations (such as in Connecticut).

In addition to Obama, Congress and the Supreme Court are also train wrecks. They have lost almost all respect - and thus influence among the folks. Mass civil disobedience appears to be a more likely outcome than Obama getting away with some kind of takeover.

So , according to this article, it´s do or die for Obama and his agenda. Are they going to hold a raffle to decide who gets to choose?

In an article from Mother Jones, the authors imply that marijuana growing is causing global warming. Watch the way the article moves deliberately to its focus on the environmental dangers of marijuana growing to the climate change climax. The authors write: 1. Of the estimated 22 million pounds of marijuana grown each year in the United states, nearly 80% comes from California, Tennessee, Kentucky, Hawaii, and Washington. 2. In 2013, California authorities seized 329 outdoor grow sites and hauled away: 1.2 million plants,119,000 pounds of trash, 17,000 pounds of fertilizers, 40 gallons of pesticides and 244 propane tanks, 61 car batteries, 89

83 Senators Put Obama on

Eighty-three senators banded together today to demand that President Obama meet core principles, including clear consequences, in any final nuclear agreement with Iran. The letter was spearheaded by Sens. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), Chris Coons (D-Del.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.). The sheer number of senators on board serves as a warning call to the administration that they have the support to override a presidential veto on tougher Iran sanctions. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who held up a sanctions vote at the request of the White House, was not among the signatories.

The busted ObamaCare websites cost a lot of people a lot of time. But for one Nevada man, problems with the state insurance exchange reportedly cost him $407,000. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Larry Basich, a 62-year-old Vegas resident, has been stuck with the massive medical bill despite signing up for an insurance plan via the state exchange last fall. Basich, according to the article, selected a UnitedHealthcare plan in November, and even paid his first premium. But he never received confirmation that he was enrolled, despite being assured that he was by Nevada Health Link. Amid the confusion, Basich suffered a

The decision was announced nonchalantly, in trademark Washington fashion on a Friday afternoon: The U.S. government will cede its last bit of control over the Internet. The government has maintained that influence through contracts with the organization that administers the Internet, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit called the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN. But a Commerce Department agency announced Friday that it would relinquish control over ICANN, presumably when its contract expires in September 2015. The office said it wants the group to next convene "global stakeholders" to come up with a transition plan -- a transition

There has been a chorus of criticism--and ridicule--surrounding President Barack Obama´s response to Russia´s impending annexation of Crimea. Having failed, after several long telephone conversations, to deter Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Obama is now responding with sanctions against seven--seven--individuals in the Russian government. Charles Krauthammer called Obama´s response "humiliating," and it certainly is. But say this for Obama: he is keeping his campaign promise. In 2008, Obama repeatedly promised something called "tough diplomacy" with America´s rivals. "I will initiate tough diplomacy with our enemies," he promised in May 2008, adding that he would meet them "without preconditions although with preparation." Obama

Why are there no good choices? From Crimea to North Korea, from Syria to Egypt, and from Iraq to Afghanistan, America apparently has no good options. If possession is nine-tenths of the law, Russia owns Crimea and all we can do is sanction and disinvite—and wring our hands. Iran is following North Korea´s nuclear path, but it seems that we can only entreat Iran to sign the same kind of agreement North Korea once signed, undoubtedly with the same result. Our tough talk about a red line in Syria prompted Vladimir Putin´s sleight of hand, leaving the chemicals and killings much as

President Obama on Monday slapped Russia with the kinds of economic sanctions not seen since the Cold War, but the administration’s supposed hard line was met with mockery and a “collective shrug” in Moscow, Kiev and Washington. One day after Crimeans voted overwhelmingly to secede from Ukraine and join Russia, the White House and its partners in the European Union responded by targeting high-ranking officials in Moscow along with pro-Russian figures responsible for the unrest in Ukraine. The move adds even more tension to a dramatic standoff between Russia and the West, but early signs suggest the latest round of

Hillary Clinton may well be the most "known" politician in the world. She and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have been on the national stage for more than two decades -- traveling from Arkansas to the White House to the Senate to the 2008 campaign trail and finally to the State Department. During that time, every look and utterance from Hillary has been examined, then examined again, then analyzed, then overanalyzed. That´s why this series of photos -- shot by LIFE magazine in 1969 as part of a feature on outstanding college students -- is so fascinating. It captures
